Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 482
“David!” Jimmy was the first person to react and stand up.
He quickly walked to David’s side as the corners of his lips curled up slightly with a hint of provocation.
Now that David Jones had arrived, he wanted to see if that evil b*tch, Marina, could continue acting so arrogantly!
Everyone else immediately recovered from their shock and stood up in unison.
The person-in-charge of the Chamber of Commerce, Sam Turner, greeted him respectfully, “Mr. Jones, this way please.”
The moment she saw David Jones, the smile on Marina’s face froze slightly.
When her eyes suddenly met David’s pitch-black eyes, her heart trembled violently. It was as though she was standing on the
edge of a cliff where she did not dare to look down at the bottomless abyss under her feet, nor did she dare to move at all as she
was afraid that she would accidentally fall to her death.
Marina’s grip on her glass tightened continuously. However, her expression was calm as she commented leisurely. “In the past,
you have always refused to attend the Chamber of Commerce despite them sincerely inviting you so what a pleasant surprise it
is to see you here today.”
As she spoke, her gaze swept past Rachel subtlely and her red lips curled into an obscure smile.
“I happened to pass by today, so I decided to come to take a look. I hope I didn’t disturb you guys,” David replied calmly.
Eddie Brook and Billy Jones, who were following behind David, looked at each other with meaningful smiles in their eyes.
David was such a liar.
Initially, the meeting was going well, but Eddie suddenly received information that Marina had attended the Chamber of
Commerce as a representative of the Jones family.
With what had happened previously, he did not dare to hide anything and immediately reported the news to David.
After hearing the news, David abandoned everyone in the conference room and specially made his way over.

At this moment, the person in charge of the Chamber of Commerce, Sam Turner, was suffering from a dilemma as he could not
offend both David and Marina Jones.
Everybody that was present here were all important people of Seaxas. However,
David and Marina Jones who came from the Jones family from Aureliana were people who could destroy Seaxas easily.
So who should sit at the head of the table?
Although Marina came from Aureliana, she could not hold a candle to David, who was the head of the family,
However, in terms of seniority, Marina was David’s aunt so she seemed to be more important.
Just as Sam Turner was hesitating, David walked straight to Marina.
He was clearly trying to make Marina give up her seat!
Marina looked up at David.
David had an air of indifference as he looked down at Marina. He looked very nonchalant and casual but there was a hidden
hostility in the depths of his dark
eyes.
The powerful aura emitted from his body was so oppressive that it was almost suffocating.
Marina’s fingers tightened so hard that her fingertips turned pale.
As expected of the heir chosen by her father!
He didn’t even think twice about humiliating her even though they are blood relatives!
But thinking about it, it made sense. Everyone in their family who had tried to go against him had paid a painful price.
It was precisely because of this that everyone in their family was afraid of him. Even the Elders were cautious of him.
But now...
Marina’s gaze shifted and landed on Rachel. She narrowed her eyes and her lips curled into an unfriendly smile.

“I suddenly remembered that I have something else to do so I’ll take my leave first. Please excuse me.” As she spoke, Marina
took off her napkin and stood leave.

When she stood up, she accidentally knocked over the knife and fork on the table. Before everyone could see what was
happening, the knife was flying towards Rachel.
“Rae-Rae!” Lucas exclaimed in shock as he stood up abruptly.
Even Mr. Johnson, who had always been cool as a cucumber, had a look of panic. in his eyes.
