Big Novel

Bogus Billionaire by Shining Riviera

Chapter 411
Adrian didn’t want to bring up that man. “I’m not sure, maybe because we haven’t gotten any information about Eddy’s second
uncle.
“After all, I heard the Collinses had signed a contract with him, and now they’re joining the entertainment industry together.”
At the mention of Eddy’s second uncle, Andrea said, “That man is really mysterious. I guess no one except the Morrisons knows
what he looks like.”
She paused, then continued, “Because his merger of various cosmetic brands was too high–profile, many people thought he was
a conspicuous person.
“They waited for his official announcement to find out which field of work he would join this time. Unexpectedly, he did all of this
under the radar.”
If SY Group hadn’t appeared in several investments, the Sorkins wouldn’t have discovered that SY
Group and the Collinses were cooperating so much.
“It was strange for Eddy’s second uncle to be so conspicuous the last time. Keeping a low profile is his preference,” Adrian said.
“That’s right,” Andrea agreed. “That’s why many people are speculating about why he made such a splash in the news back
then.”
Adrian had already entered the boarding lounge. He looked around and quickly found Caroline.
“Maybe I’ll find out when I go to Macldo.” He hastened his pace, and he began talking faster.
“We’ll talk about this later, Andrea. Oh yeah, remember to cover for me. I’ll head to Macldo after I handle things in Macovo.”
“Okay, no problem!”
Adrian had already hung up the phone when he approached Caroline.
Caroline asked with a smile, “Were you talking to your girlfriend?”
Adrian’s smile froze, but he still nodded, so Caroline would lower her guard around him.

Gwen asked, “Why don’t you tell us about your girlfriend, Mr. Sorkin?”

Adrian’s gaze drifted to Gwen with a faint smile on his face. Outsiders had a more objective view of things, so he couldn’t
underestimate Caroline’s best friend.
“Sure. We met through a matchmaker.”
Gwen asked, “But an outstanding man like you doesn’t need to go on blind dates, do you?”
Adrian said in return, “Matchmaking has nothing to do with how excellent you are. It just allows people to find the person who
best suits them in the shortest possible time.”
Gwen disagreed. “That’s not necessarily true. Some matchmakers just want to make a quick buck.
They would pair anyone as long as they’re living human beings.”
Adrian smiled. “I’ve never encountered that before.”
He turned his head and asked Caroline, “Have you encountered a situation like this, Carrie?”
Caroline looked up at Adrian blankly, as if she had been called out. “Huh?”
“What are you so lost in thought about?” Adrian asked with a bright smile.
Caroline shook her head. She wasn’t thinking of anything. She felt like her heart was anticipating something, but she didn’t know
what exactly she was hoping for.
It wasn’t until she got on the plane and instinctively looked at the security gate that she realized what she was waiting for.
She was expecting Kirk to show up at the gate to see her, like those romantic scenes in a TV show.
Caroline wanted to laugh at herself. She felt like she had been poisoned with a very, very potent drug.
It was clear Kirk had deceived her, so why was she still thinking about him? Maybe she wouldn’t think about him anymore after
she left Easton.

With her mind in a trance, Caroline gradually fell asleep.
When she woke up, she was shocked to find Kirk beside her. She almost jumped to her feet in shock, but Kirk grabbed her wrist.
“Darling ...” Kirk looked at her affectionately.
He said, “I didn’t marry another woman abroad. The evidence you saw was fake.”
