on Caroline.” Sean looked at Caroline, who had finished her phone call. After getting into the car, Caroline said to them, “Kirk will
pick me up in a moment. Which one of you can help me drive the car back?” Sean and Gwen looked at each other, then quickly
looked away again. “I’ll do it. I was the one who caused all this,” Gwen said. “I can’t believe you still want to drive after drinking
so much.” Caroline quipped, “Maybe you should go to the hospital to check on your brain.” Gwen was speechless at her words.
“Then, I’m the only one who can do it,” Sean said. Caroline glanced at Gwen. “What about you, Gwen? How are you going
home? Why don’t we give you a ride?” “No thanks. I don’t want to be a third wheel for you two.” Gwen laid on the back of the

Kirk’s car, Gwen put down her hand and asked, “Is Carol trying to set the both of us up?” Sean grabbed the keys. He chuckled.
“Probably.” Gwen laughed as well. “Will she be upset if she finds out we won’t do as she wishes?” Sean said, “Probably?” Gwen
laughed again. She was smiling, but there were tears in her eyes. Fortunately, Sean had already started the car in the front seat,
so he didn’t notice her crying. Gwen rested her head on the front seat and let the tears flow down the back of her hands. In fact,
she didn’t really know why she was crying. Sean said they could be friends, which was what she obviously wanted. However,
she wasn’t as happy as she had imagined. Instead, she felt as if she had lost something important to her. She felt a piece of her
