Chapter 755 You Call This Art
Why don’t you ask him directly if you can make heads or tails of what he’s scribbled down there? Honestly, even if I were
schlepping a pig around on my shoulders, I reckon I’d still manage to pull off something similar.
You really think we’re that gullible, huh? Trying to pull a fast one on us?
The crowd gathered around started feeling like they were the butt of some kind of joke, as if someone was making monkeys out
of them.
this mess supposed to be the work of the esteemed Mr. Emerentius? This is absurd!
What an utter waste of our time!
“Just a moment, folks, please don’t rush off...”
Realizing his attempt to sway the crowd was failing miserably, the man with the crew cut felt his cheeks burn with
embarrassment. Desperately, he raised his voice, trying to keep the audience from dispersing.
To his relief,
f, the crowd paused, their steps halting.
They glanced around, bewildered, wondering what the alleged master would attempt.
next.
Bending down once more, the crew–cut man addressed the unkempt man with a touch of deference, “Mr. Emerentius, it appears
the audience hasn’t quite warmed up to your previous display. Would you honor us with another demonstration, perhaps?”
“Hah! A bunch of ignorant ninnies, they just can’t grasp the finer points of true art!” The unkept man’s retort was like a cold slap
to the face, instantly igniting widespread.
resentment.
“Come on, now, how can you say such things? Who are you calling ignorant? Take a good look at what you’ve drawn. Does that
even qualify as art? It’s no better than a toddler’s scribbling!”
“Really, the nerve of you to claim we can’t appreciate art, while you’re out here pretending
to be Mr. Emerentius?”
“Sir, do us all a favor, would you? Go home, have a shower, and change out of those musty
clothes.”

At this point, the crowd was simmering with ange
Quick to defuse the situation, the crew–cut man stepped in. “Let’s all stay calm, please. Mr. Emerentius is deeply passionate
about art, and I assure you, he didn’t mean to offend anyone.”
“Oh, posing as Mr. Emerentius now, are we? Shameless, absolutely shameless!”
It was clear that no one was buying the act; they were all convinced that the disheveled man standing before them couldn’t
possibly be the renowned Emerentius.
Witnessing the unfolding drama, Yelena couldn’t help but feel her spirits lift. She turned to Emrys with a mischievous smile, “Hey,
Rys, what do you think this ‘Mr. Emerentius should do now to save face?”
“Let’s stick around for a bit longer and see!” Emrys responded with eager anticipation.
“Pili! Ridiculous! To think I mistook this gathering for an audience capable of recognizing true art. This is an insult to the very
concept of artistry!”
Overcome with indignation, the unkempt man stood up abruptly, filled with a fury that seemed to command the room, as if he
was about to leave in a storm of
rage.
This only served to fuel the crowd’s anger even more.
“What’s the problem? Did we hit a nerve by calling out your charade, and now you’re throwing a tantrum out of sheer
embarrassment, looking for an excuse to make a hasty retreat?”
“Ha! What else could it be? Just listen to him, calling us clowns!”
“So, first we’re the fools, and now you’re the one making a spectacle of yourself...”
The verbal onslaught continued unabated.
Stepping forward, the crew–cut man grabbed the unkempt man’s arm, attempting to calm. him, “Mr. Emerentius, please, don’t
take offense. If they can’t see your genius, then prove it to them with your talent!”
“Sorry, they’re simply not worthy of witnessing it,” the unkempt man snapped back, his patience clearly wearing thin.
“Mr. Emerentius, I get where you’re coming from, and I respect your principles. But surely, you wouldn’t want this
misunderstanding to tarnish your esteemed reputation?”

the crew–cut man implored earnestly.
After a brief moment of contemplation, the unkept man suddenly turned back, his demeanor charged with a newfound resolve.
“Fine, if that’s how it is, then let this master enlighten you. Prepare yourselves for a real lesson in art!”
Hmph
Everyone sighed.
Despite their reservations, the crowd couldn’t help but feel a mix of skepticism and curiosity about what the unkept man had up
his sleeve this time.
Emrys, taken by surprise by the man’s unexpected return, couldn’t shake off a sense of
intrigue.
After all, walking away earlier had seemed like the perfect exit strategy for someone whose bluff had been called. Yet, here he
was, making a comeback.
Isn’t he just making things harder for himself by coming back? Or maybe, he’s got an ace up his sleeve I don’t know about?
Emrys watched with a mix of intrigue and skepticism, his eyes darting around to gauge the crowd’s reaction.
It was as if they were spectators at a theatre, eagerly awaiting the next act in a drama.
At that point, the unkempt man swept his gaze over the crowd, icy and deliberate, before commanding in a tone that brooked no
argument, “Spread out the drawing paper.”
“Come on, come on, let’s get the drawing paper rolled out. The master’s about to reveal his true genius,” the crew–cut man
eagerly chided his mates, as they hurried to unveil a fresh, white drawing paper.
With a gesture of deep reverence, he then presented the brush to the unkept man.
