El General Todopoderoso de Dragón

As Jasmine entered the room, Desmond’s face brightened with a modest smile. “Ah, Miss Moore, we meet again.”
Graciously, she replied, “Thank you for making time to see me despite your busy schedule.”
Jasmine gestured towards the comfortable sofa area and positioned herself across from him.
Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she asked, “I’m intrigued, Mr. Evans. What brings you here today?”
With sincerity in his voice, Desmond confessed, “I must admit, I acted hastily and disregarded the rules of the Rejuvenation Pill
Auction. Since that incident, I have carried a heavy burden of remorse. Summoning my courage, I have come here today to offer
my humble apologies to both you and the esteemed proprietor of the Rejuvenation Pill you represent. Please accept my
sincerest apologies and forgive any trouble I may have caused.”
Jasmine maintained her unwavering smile as she responded, “Mr. Evans, there is no need for you to go out of your way to
apologize. The auction itself has already passed judgment on your actions. You have paid the price for your past behavior, so
there is no need to burden yourself with further apologies.”
Unknown to Desmond, Jasmine’s words caught him off guard. He had expected her to accept his apology with humility, to offer
his contrition. However, she denied him that opportunity.
Deep within, Jasmine held a genuine respect for Desmond. This respect had nothing to do with his status as Evan’s eldest son; it
originated from the fact that he was Jagoan’s uncle.
Jasmine had always felt an immeasurable debt towards Jagoan, which naturally extended to a sense of respect for his elders.
However, as Jagoan had yet to acknowledge the Evan’s family, Jasmine dared
not display excessive politeness towards Desmond. She knew that if she behaved too deferentially, he would become
suspicious.
In this crucial moment, Desmond suppressed his anger and frustration, concealing them behind a forced smile as he cautiously
addressed Miss Moore. “To be completely honest, I have always held the owner of the Rejuvenation Pill in high regard. During
the gathering, my father fell gravely ill and desperately needed a powerful remedy for his recovery. My impatience got the better
of me, resulting in my brusque behavior. I implore Miss Moore to intercede on my behalf and seek his forgiveness.”
Jasmine’s lips formed a warm smile as she responded, “Mr. Evans, you’re overthinking it. Your actions at the auction have no
bearing on Mr. Evans Sr. It’s akin to a traffic accident where you accidentally collide with another car. There’s no need to report it

to the traffic control department. Simply apologize and do not burden yourself with seeking forgiveness from him.”
Desmond felt like a football being repeatedly kicked back to the same spot, but he gathered his courage and pressed on. “Miss
Moore, I need to be direct. I have something to discuss with the owner of the Rejuvenation Pill personally. Regardless of the
outcome, I implore you to introduce me. The Evans Family will forever hold your kindness in our hearts.”
Jasmine’s expression turned serious as she pursed her lips and replied, “Mr. Evans, it’s not that I don’t wish to assist you. The
person you seek has left Aurous Hill since the last auction.”
“Left Aurous Hill?” Desmond hurriedly inquired, “May I ask, Miss Moore, if you know the name of this individual?”
Jasmine shook her head, revealing her uncertainty. “I’m afraid I don’t know.”
Desmond’s suspicions deepened as he questioned, “Miss Moore, this individual is in collaboration with your Moore Group. You
auctioned their Rejuvenation Pill on their behalf, collecting a substantial sum of
money in the process. With such close cooperation, how can you be unaware of their true identity? If you could provide me with
any insights, the Evans Family would be eternally grateful and willing to repay the favor.”
Jasmine responded calmly, her voice carrying a hint of enigma. “Mr. Evans, a dragon hides its tail, and my Moore family has
been fortunate to be chosen to organize the auction on his behalf. As for the proceeds you mentioned, trust me when I say that
the funds remain untouched in the auction’s account by the gentleman. Can you place your trust in my words?”
Desmond fell into a contemplative silence, his mind consumed by uncertainty and doubt. He realized that it was ultimately his
decision whether or not to believe such a claim, and he had no means to prove its veracity.
