“No!” Estelle approached Bernard with a hushed tone, “We discovered something
abnormal implanted in Bernard's body. At first, we thought it was an internal
bomb, but it wasn’t. Now I finally know what it is!” “What is it?” Amiee asked.
Several guards charged at Estelle, only to be mowed down by a burst of machine
gun fire from Josiah’s hovering helicopter. Dust and debris flew as half a dozen
men were flung aside. Estelle had reached Bernard by now, snatching the laptop
from his arms and locating the mouse. She spoke to Bernard with an icy voice,
“The data is on your left hand, isn't it?” The data chip had been embedded in
Bernard's left index finger, and the mouse was more than a mere alert device; it
also had a chip sensor. The laptop would only boot up and display the data when
Bernard's chipped index finger touched the mouse’s sensor. Bernard stared at
Estelle, his eyes wide with shock. Estelle grabbed his left hand and pressed it
against the mouse. The laptop booted up swiftly. Soon, Amiee’s voice rang out
with exhilaration, “Estelle, you were right, we've got the data!” Bernard looked at
Estelle in despair, no longer resisting. Amiee quickly started copying the data. At
that moment, another helicopter approached the rooftop, looking for a spot to
land, while attacking Josiah's helicopter. Josiah dodged and weaved in mid-air,
providing Amiee with a stable environment. Seconds later, Amiee exhaled deeply,
“Estelle, it's done!” Estelle acted swiftly, chopping down Bernard's finger to
destroy the chip, then casually tossed his laptop off the rooftop. Bernard rolled on
the ground, his face ashen, attempting to kneel and beg for mercy, hoping Estelle
would spare his life. “Your mission is over!” Estelle’s voice was detached as she
raised her gun and aimed at Bernard, pulling the trigger—a clean shot to the
head. “Estelle!” Josiah moved to the rooftop to provide support. A missile
screamed towards them, and Josiah's expression changed. He had to maneuver
the helicopter out of the way, distancing himself. As he dodged, three more
aircraft arrived, blocking all routes to the rooftop
for Josiah. The helicopter that had been attacking Josiah hovered above the
rooftop, and a man jumped down, standing behind Estelle with a raspy voice,
“Stella, you leaving? Leaving your team behind again?” Estelle’s mind buzzed,
and she spun around to face the newcomer. Raiden’s gaze was deep and
intense as he looked at her. “Stella, is your mission truly complete?” Visit
