The three-day holiday ended. Mandy would officially join the Horizon Group
today.

Jack offered to send her to work.
“But I remember that there is a long distance between the Smith Group and the
Horizon Group.” Mandy frowned. She did not think that she needed Jack to drive
her to work.
Jack shook his head. “This is to add a little spice to life. If I guess correctly, this
should be your first time working, right?”
Mandy was speechless. Jack was right.
“Parents send their children to school on the first day of school. Why can’t I send
you to work on the first day of your work?” Jack said with a faint smile.
Mandy glanced at Jack. “Don’t try to take advantage of me.”
Despite what she said, she agreed to Jack’s request.
Jack drove all the way to the parking lot of the Horizon Group, which he was
quite familiar with.
“I’ll try to pick you up when I get off work. If I can’t, I’ll tell you in advance,” Jack
said to Mandy through the car window.
Mandy nodded. “Don’t worry. I can take care of myself.”

Jack was noncommittal. He knew Mandy could do everything on her own, but he
was still worried about her.
Mandy watched Jack’s car leave, turned around, and was about to walk into the
elevator when there was a punch strike from behind.
Fortunately, although Mandy had returned to Ancisum, she still kept vigilance
subconsciously, so she could dodge the attack immediately.
“Did you betray us because of that man?” a man said angrily.
Mandy frowned.
She stopped and looked at the man.
The man had deep and stern features. His evil aura was enough to prove that he
was not to be trifled with.
“Why are you here?” Mandy frowned, took out her phone, and sent a message to
Charlotte.
She was in trouble and might have to go to work late.
Seeing that Mandy didn’t concentrate on talking to him, Bruce became angrier.
He tried to snatch Mandy’s phone, but Mandy easily dodged.
Mandy stuffed her phone into her pocket and kicked Bruce’s wrist hard, causing
Bruce to groan in pain.
“Are you serious?” Bruce looked at Mandy in disbelief but saw disgust in her
eyes.

“I told you not to appear in front of me again,” Mandy said coldly.
Bruce was shocked. “We were teammates. Why did you...”
“Why?” Mandy said sharply. “Don’t forget why Emma died. If it weren’t for your
arrogance, she would still be alive! What qualifications do you have to say we
were teammates?”
Bruce’s eyes were red as he stared at Mandy. “It’s been so many years. Are you
still unwilling to forgive me? I didn’t know that Emma would suddenly rush out. If
she...”
“Enough!” Mandy slapped Bruce hard on the face. “She rushed out to protect
you! If it weren’t for her, you would die!”
She stared at Bruce, watching his face turn pale little by little.
“I didn’t kill you because I promised Emma. Mind your own business. Don’t
appear in front of me again or try to interfere in my life.”
Mandy saw the cruelty in Bruce’s eyes. They used to be close teammates, so
she knew what he was planning.
“If something goes wrong with him, I will not let you go,” Mandy said coldly. Then
she turned around and walked into the elevator.
