Chapter 1026 Completion Ahead of Schedule
“Really?” Lena’s gaze fell on Gideon’s drafting table, and she suddenly burst
into laughter. “It seems like we can fulfill our agreement ahead of time.”
They had agreed on three days, but both of them had finished their drafts
within a day, indeed making it possible to discuss things ahead of schedule.
Lena straightforwardly walked up to Gideon’s desk and spread out her
drawings for him to see. “Here’s my idea. Take a look.”
After speaking, she took Gideon’s drawings from his desk and started to
examine them closely. A flash of surprise crossed Gideon’s eyes. He hadn’t
expected Lena to be so straightforward.
Actually, after their previous arguments, they had gained some understanding
of each other’s thoughts, but they couldn’t fully grasp what the other was

thinking. There were bound to be some criticisms.
However, complete thoughts were laid out in front of them, they realized that
their previous concerns were superfluous.
“I think your idea is great,” Lena complimented after looking at Gideon’s
design.
Perhaps it was because Lena had rejected him so many times before, but
hearing her praise now, Gideon felt an unexpected surge of happiness.
He hadn’t felt this way since the first time he won the architecture award.
“Your design is also perfect, better than I imagined,” Gideon sincerely
complimented in return.
The two fell silent for a moment, recalling their previous disputes, and couldn’t
help but exchange smiles.
Unbeknownst to them, a pair of eyes filled with hostility watched this scene
from outside the window.
“Gideon...” Willington clenched his fists tightly, as if he wanted to kill Gideon
with his gaze.
Just then, Gideon looked out the window.
“What’s wrong?” Lena asked, puzzled. Gideon shook his head thoughtfully.
“It’s nothing, just my imagination. I felt like someone was watching us from
outside.”
Lena looked in the direction he was pointing, but there was no one outside.
She fell silent for a moment before asking, “Did you stay up late working on
the drawings?”
Understanding her implication, Gideon couldn’t help but laugh. “You think I’m
hallucinating?”
“It’s not suspicion, but certainty.” Lena nodded confidently. “I was standing
right beside you just now and saw nothing.”
Her certainty made Gideon ponder for a moment. “Maybe I really did see it
wrong.”
“How about we each take the other’s draft back to study and discuss it
tomorrow?” Lena suggested.
Gideon agreed, and they left the drafting room together.
Standing at the door, Gideon confirmed once again. “Are you sure you don’t
need me to take you back?”
Lena shook her head. “There’s no need. What could be unsafe at the
school?”
Seeing her insistence, Gideon didn’t press further. He nodded slightly at Lena
and then turned to leave.
It was already evening and the weekend, so there were not many pedestrians
on the road. Gideon’s mind was still on Lena’s design when he suddenly
sensed something was amiss.
He stopped and looked back.
There were small groups of pedestrians on the road behind him, nothing
unusual.
But he had just clearly felt a strong sense of being watched...
