Jack was professional and difficult to approach. Many female employees in the
company liked him very much, but none of them could win his heart.
This was the first time a woman came to him.
The receptionist looked Mandy up and down curiously and inexplicably felt that it
would be understandable if Mandy was Jack’s girlfriend.
After regaining composure, the receptionist smiled politely at Mandy. “Please wait
a moment. I will ask Jack to come downstairs.”
Mandy nodded and looked around to find four escape exits out of habit.
she realized this and smiled wryly.
Although it had only been a few years, Mandy had already had some habits that
were difficult to change throughout her life.
After making the call, the receptionist brought Mandy a cup of coffee and asked
her to wait there.
Mandy nodded and sat on the sofa not far away with a coffee cup in hand.
She didn’t know that the Smith Group’s internal gossip group had gone crazy
because of the receptionist’s words. Everyone wanted to know the relationship
between Mandy and Jack.

Jack didn’t know about this. He was scolding the new secretary with a sullen
face.
The secretary made a mistake in making a document and annoyed Joe, so she
was scolded and cried. Moreover, all the secretaries in the Secretariat Office
were punished and complained.
Jack once told the chief secretary to ask the secretaries in the Secretariat Office
to be careful, but unexpectedly, the new secretary annoyed Joe.
Jack rubbed his brows and looked helplessly at the newcomer Vicky Bailey,
whose eyes were wet. “You should know that the Smith Group’s salary is far
higher than that of all other companies in Atlany, so the requirements are quite
high.”
He knew that Joe had been in a bad mood recently because of Charlotte, and
Joe would still be upset in the following days.
If Vicky didn’t change, Jack couldn’t help her.
“I understand. Thank you for helping me out today.” Vicky looked pitifully at Jack
with red eyes. “I will change my ways...”
“Jack, the receptionist said someone wanted to see you.”
Just when Vicky was about to continue saying something, Rosa Wilkins from the
Secretariat Office came over, glanced at Vicky with a disdainful look, and said to
Jack.

“Oh?” Jack looked at Rosa suspiciously. He didn’t remember that he had made
an appointment with anyone today. “I’ll go downstairs. You guys... be careful
here.”
Jack passed Vicky and walked straight to the elevator.
After he left, Rosa taunted Vicky angrily, “You got us into trouble, but now you try
to seduce Jack.”
Vicky turned around and looked at Rosa coldly. “What nonsense are you talking
about?”
“I can tell what you want from the look in your eyes. I’m not talking nonsense,”
Rosa sneered, “Don’t think that we don’t know what you want.”
Vicky was angry and wanted to refute Rosa, but Rosa was right, so she turned
around and walked into the office.
