Chapter 368
Agnes arved on set in the afternoon. The lounge was buzzing with people getting ready. As she entered, she scanned the room
and spotted Beatrice, who wasn’t scheduled to film any scenes today, yet she was there. Upon seeing Agnes unhurt, Beatrice’s
hand tightened into a fist.
She had believed her plan the previous night was foolproof. How had Agnes escaped her trap? It seemed like sheer luck. By
morning, when no scandal had surfaced, Beatrice realized her plan had failed. Had it succeeded, Agnes would’ve been the talk
of the town, an easy target for anyone.
Beatrice recalled locking in Agnes, who surely would’ve suspected foul play. And the prime suspect? Beatrice herself. But what
remained unclear to Beatrice was whether Agnes had consumed the water she’d tampered with. Did Agnes avoid trouble
altogether or simply manage to sidestep the media?
Beatrice’s uncertainty was interrupted when Agnes approached her, a direct question on her lips. “What did you do last night?”
Beatrice was taken aback by her straightforwardness. 7 was in the VIP room drinking with everyone last night. I got so drunk I
had to be escorted home. Agnes, you’re not trying to pin something on me because of something that happened last night, are
you?”
Agnes sneered, “How did you know something happened to me last night?”
Beatrice was caught off guard and fell into her trap. But she wasn’t scared. She had checked multiple times, there were no
cameras. Even if Agnes suspected her, there was no solid proof. As long as she denied it, Agnes wouldn’t be able to do
anything.
Beatrice retorted, 1 just thought you looked pissed. How was I supposed to know what you were up to? All the actors can vouch
for me. I didn’t go anywhere or do anything last night. Don’t try to frame mer
Agnes scoffed, “Beatrice, you’d better hope I don’t find any evidence. If I do, don’t blame me for not being polite.”
Without any evidence, Agnes didn’t want to suspect Beatrice. She thought Beatrice was bossy and arrogant, but she never
thought Beatrice could do something so malicious
Even though they didn’t get along, they were still family. It was hard for her to accept.
But the result came out quickly. Mamie personally brought the report. “The one trying to frame you is none other than your own
sister. There are only two clear fingerprints on this lock. One belongs to the security guard who unlocked it, the other is
Beatrice’s”
Agnes felt dizzy. It really was Beatrice. Beatrice had bullied her since they were young, never considering her feelings, but Agnes
always harbored a bit of familial affection and didn’t mind many things.
Agnes never thought Beatrice could do something so extreme. Drugging, framing, leaking information to the press, all to ruin her
reputation. She used such despicable means.
Agnes felt a chill in her heart.
