Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father by Pixie

S31 31. Fainted

With heavy steps, Sophia went to Abigail's chair. Her face was

gloomy. However, seeing a piece of sandwich on Diana's plate, her eyes
widened.

“Grandma? Why do you eat so little? Here, have it more.”

Sophia confidently took a piece of sandwich, but unexpectedly, Diana
straightened up her palms. “Can you just take care of yourself?”

Sophia flinched. After blinking, she put the bread back onto the plate.” Sorry,
Grandma. I was just worried-

“Where was our conversation earlier? Oh, I forgot because I was

interrupted.”

Sophia gaped in astonishment. Diana had totally changed.

“I've failed to seduce Frank. I can't lose Diana Johnson either. She still has to be
my weapon in the forefront,” she stated in her mind.

After breakfast, Sophia approached Diana. With a bright smile she greeted, “Hi,
Grandma. Would you like to go to the stable?”

While putting on her jacket, Diana glanced. “Yes.”

“Then, come on, let me accompany you. There's something I want to show you.
You will definitely like it.”

Without waiting for approval, Sophia took Diana's hand, inviting her to walk
together.

“Tada! Look, Grandma. These are all the latest releases. I've chosen the best of
the best. The children will definitely be happy. Isn't this good?”

Sophia took a riding vest and stretched it in front of her torso.

However, Diana just nodded.

“Hmm, good.”

Her expression was flat, not happy. Before Sophia asked again, she turned
towards the exit. Sophia's eyebrows immediately knitted together.

“Just good? You're not happy?”

Diana looked back for a moment. “I'm grateful that you want to donate such
expensive equipment to the children. Thank you.”

After that, Diana continued walking. Sophia could only sigh in disbelief. “This is
simply not true,” she grumbled.

“If your intentions were right, you wouldn't think her response was not right.”
Sophia spontaneously turned around. Seeing Jeremy, her breath hitched. “What
are you doing here?”

Jeremy blinked before glancing at the corner. “I examined the crime scene last
night. I had to make sure that I didn’t leave any evidence that could be brought to
court. That way, you can't sue me for your mistake. You didn't film that scene,
right?”

Sophia grimaced. Her cheeks were red with embarrassment and anger. Without
another word, she stepped away from Jeremy. Seeing that, Philip and Barbara
came out of a nearby stall.

“I think Sophia has a worthy enemy now.”

Jeremy snorted slightly. “Is that so?”

Philip glanced at the corner near the racks. “So, how was last night?”

Jeremy shook his head as he walked away. “It's not important to remember. Don’t
try to bring it up in front of the woman I approach later.”

“Oh, so you're planning on getting married too? I thought you were planning on
being single forever.”

While the couple kept teasing Jeremy, Diana went to the orphanage.

She needed a place to calm down. While riding the tractor, her

thoughts drifted.

“Why was I so fool? I made her walk in winter, but I let that cunning snake use
another tractor.”

The greater Diana's regret was, the heavier the burden in her heart was. When
she saw the children playing happily in the hall, her chest felt like it was being
torn apart.

“Why would I ask her to clean such a large field? She must be having a hard
time, especially since she’s pregnant.”

Frowning, Diana clutched her painful chest. “I shouldn't have let jealousy and
hatred control me. I shouldn't have tortured Kara like

that.”

As Diana pondered, two children came over to her.

“Grandma, where is the Beautiful Lady? Didn't she come with you?”

Diana turned and shook her head slightly. “No, Darling. Sophia is busy.

“Not Sophia, Grandma, but the lady who gave me this hat.” The little girl pulled
her beanie hat down until it touched her cheek.

“And this scarf.” Another girl showed the scarf around her neck.

Diana was stunned. Her blinking slowed down, activating the

memory. The two things belonged to Kara.

“When did she give it to you, Dear?"

“When we greeted her at the entrance of the orphanage. She said we

were good children, so she gave us these gifts.”

Diana sighed in disbelief. Her chest grew tighter. Her tears thickened.

“No wonder she has a fever. She got cold while shoveling the snow.

Oh, what have I done?”

Forgetting about her pride and shame, Diana hurried back to the inn. She wanted
to find Kara, hug her tightly and apologize. She also wanted to hug Frank and the
twins. She had also made them suffer.

“I've made a big mistake.”

As soon as she parked the tractor, Diana's gaze fell on Philip. The man had just
come down from the tree, looking for a signal. Without thinking, she approached
and embraced him.

“Oh, My Grandson.”

Philip was stunned. His eyes darted around looking for clues. “What's wrong,
Grandma?”

Diana cupped his cheek, looking at him closely. “I'm sorry I was angry with you. I
didn’t mean to throw you out at all. I was actually happy you came back.”

Philip fell silent for a moment. His eyebrows were furrowed, his mouth slightly
open. When he caught the sincerity in Diana's eyes, th corners of his lips began
to turn up.

“Grandma, have you changed your mind?”

Diana nodded. However, as she was about to explain further, the

twins ran up to them.

“Philip! Philip!”

“Daddy asks you to prepare the car immediately!”

The man’s eyebrows arched up. “What for?”

Bending over with his hands on his knees, Louis gasped for breath.” Mommy is
sick. We have to take her to the hospital.”

“Your mother is sick? How come?”

Emily, who had just arrived, shook her head. “I don’t know, Grandma. Mommy is
quieter than usual today Earlier, she was just sitting on a stack of hay.”

“Then suddenly, Mommy fainted! Therefore, quickly prepare the car, Philip!”
Philip nodded. “Okay.”

While Philip hurried, the twins ran back towards the stable. Diana

didn’t want to stay still. With all her might, she moved her old legs

fast.

“Has Mommy awaken?” Louis dropped his knees then imitated Frank massaging
Kara's hands.

“Not yet. Try calling her. Slowly.”

Emily took a position near Kara's head. “Mommy, Emily is here. Come on, open
your eyes, Mommy.” She patted her mother’s cheek gently.

At that moment, Diana arrived. “Why are you all crowding Kara lik that? Move
away. Give her room to breathe.”

The twins step aside. Diana immediately checked on Kara.

“Jeez. Her face is so pale. Did she hit her head when she fell?”

Frank shook his head. “I caught her.”

Diana looked around. A second later, she pointed at a small bale of

hay.

“Bring that here. Prop her legs with it.”

After a while, Sophia appeared with a worried face. “What happened?” However,
no one paid attention to her.

Behind Sophia, Jeremy and Barbara appeared with bags.

“Brother, Kara's luggage is ready.”

“First aid too.”

“Philip?”

“He's ready.” Jeremy pointed at the car driving towards them.

Without wasting any time, Frank picked Kara up. The twins and Barbara got into
the car first, followed by Frank and Kara in the

middle seat.

“I also want to go,” Diana said as Jeremy closed the door for Frank, Sophia, who
stood calmly, spontaneously widened her eyes.
