Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father by Pixie

S31 54. The Old House
Frank frowned. His eyes flickered to his wife, looking for inspiration.” Can we
move her mother to Jeremy's house?”
“I think it's a good idea. If Jeremy is willing, I can contact Wela directly.” Kara
turned to her brother-in-law. 1
Jeremy raised his eyebrows along with his shoulders. “Even if you want to
change the house into a hospital, that's fine. Grandpa Rowan will definitely be
happy if his old residence becomes more useful.”
Hearing Jeremy's chatter, the curve of Diana's lips faded. It had been a long time
since she remembered that house. She thought she had totally forgotten, but
now, every corner was clearly depicted in her
memory.
“If Ava’s mother is moved to Uncle's house, why don’t we just have a New Year's
party there?” Emily suggested, increasing the vibrations in
Diana's heart.
“That's a great idea. Ava will be happy if she knows she can join t party with her
mother. Mommy, can you call Wela now, please?”
Kara held out her hand. The servant who was on standby quickly brought her
phone. Diana remained silent waiting for the results.
“Wela said yes.”
Diana's heartbeat became increasingly erratic. “W-why didn’t the nurse just move
here? Is it because there is no more room available?”
Frank shook his head. “My mother is at Jeremy's house, Grandma. If Mrs.
Connor is here, Ava will still have to go back and forth.”
“Then just move Melanie here.” Diana raised an eyebrow, trying to cover her
tension with a smile.

Unfortunately, Frank shook his head, Barbara was even more
disapproving.
“Even though Mommy claims to be sane and her condition is starting to stabilize,
1 think it would be wiser if we kept her at Jeremy's house longer, at least until her
mental health is completely recovered. I don’t want her to attack anyone again.”
Frank nodded. “That's right. We have to minimize the risk. Besides, she has a lot
of bad memories in this house. I'm afraid it will affect her recovery.”
Diana swallowed hard. Her hands turned cold, while her back tensed.
“What's wrong, Grandma?” Frank noticed the change in Diana's expression.
“Why do you look unhappy if they are looked after at Jeremy's house?”
Diana started rubbing her neck. Her breathing seemed heavy.
“Nothing,” she said a little hoarsely. “I have nothing to worry about. Now let's
continue eating. Kids, finish your pudding.”
“My pudding is finished, Grandma.” Louis tilted his empty plate. want more!”
“I'm only half finished with my pudding, but I also want more. It tast delicious,”
Emily smiled sweetly, clenching her hands next to her
cheeks.
“Good. Then, add more. Jeremy,” Diana shifted her gaze, “do you want
pudding?”
Before Jeremy had time to refuse, Diana had ordered the servant to bring him a
plate of pudding.
Frank and Kara glanced at each other. They knew that Diana was hiding
something. Therefore, as soon as they finished breakfast and

resolved the issue of Mrs. Connor’s transfer, Frank looked for Diana.
“Grandma, what are you doing here?
Diana gasped and turned her head. Seeing Frank standing at the side. of her
chair, she blinked, gathering her senses.
“Nothing. I'm just relaxing. It's my day off, you know?” Diana took the cup on the
table then sipped the slightly cold tea.
Seeing the clumsy play, Frank smiled wryly. “May I accompany you?”
Diana's eyebrows pressed against her forehead again. “Of course. I actually
enjoy relaxing with my grandson.”
Nodding, Frank took a seat to the side. “As I notice, you like drinking tea, don't
you?”
Diana suddenly froze. After a blink, the cup moved away from her lips. “Yes, this
is my way to relax my body and mind. I like the smell that comes from tea, and
also the warmth that spreads when I drink it. Don't you like tea?”
Frank shook his head. “I prefer coffee. Grandpa Rowan likes tea.”
Hearing that name, Diana's expression tensed. Her neck twitched holding back
the tightness gripping her chest.
“Aren’t you mistaken?” Diana replied, half whispering. “As far as I remember,
your grandfather never drank tea. He always asked for coffee.”
Frank let the silence hang for a moment. While Diana caught her breath, he
looked at the twins who looked cheerful in the greenhouse.
“I'm not sure either. I actually don’t know him that well. All I know are his habits
and his outward appearance. His tough temper.”
Frank took a deep breath then let out a quick sigh. He felt a strange feeling of
longing weighing down his lungs.

“But after thinking about it, it seems like I don’t really know his habits. either.”
Frank looked at Diana with gentle eyes. “It turns out, what I've been watching is
he trying to fill his days with your habits. I only realized that when I observed your
daily life on the farm.”
Diana's eyes trembled even more violently. Her chin twitched by the turmoil that
was stirring in her heart.
“You've only stayed at my place for a few days. There's no way you already
understand my habits.”
“Then, Grandma, try to correct my observations. You like peace. Because of that,
you built a home and a farm far from the city.”
Diana fell silent. Frank smiled at that.
“Grandpa once mentioned that he liked peace. He said that was the reason he
isolated his residence. But in my opinion, that didn’t suit his
temperament.”
