Everyone wondered why he reacted so enthusiastically. They could not shake the feeling that something
strange was happening.
"Grandpa!" Aimee tugged at the older man's sleeves and asked, "Why are you so friendly to her? I thought you promised me that you'd teach her a lesson."
Edward's brows furrowed as he lectured her, "Aimee, that's rude of you. Bonnie traveled so far to wish me a happy birthday. Not only did you not thank her for coming, but you even asked me to teach her a lesson. Is that how your parents have been raising you?"
Aimee knew her grandfather was genuinely frustrated with her. At that moment, a burning fury overtook her. "What's wrong with you, Grandpa? You should be lecturing her, but you're yelling at me instead. I can't believe you're getting mad at me for this nobody."
