Big Novel

Isabella was surprised by Seth’s severe allergic reaction. Just a whiff of the scent was enough to make him uncomfortable.
Feeling unsure, Isabella turned to Simon for help since Seth showed no intention of leaving.
Simon was hesitant to get involved in a dispute between women, but he couldn’t just stand by and watch Seth’s condition
worsen. He got up to switch on the ventilation fan and had the empty plates removed, finally dispersing the lingering mango
scent in the air.
Isabella kept a close eye on Seth’s expression, fearing that he might faint at any moment. Fortunately, Keira received a call
informing her that the client had arrived.
Isabella breathed a sigh of relief, greeted everyone, and left with Mandy and the others.
As she passed Seth, she subconsciously observed his expression. His face was pale, his lips slightly discolored, and his brows
furrowed. His countenance appeared fierce, not showing weakness but definitely lacking vitality. Their paths crossed, and his
face disappeared from her sight.
When she pushed the door to leave, the temperature difference between the inside and outside was quite significant, causing
her to shiver due to the central air conditioning.
The person Keira had arranged to meet was downstairs. Isabella felt annoyed, but she had to compose herself for now.
“We’re meeting up with Mr. Bolton’s assistant, who plans to resign after the bidding is over,” Keira whispered before they entered.
Isabella hesitated for a moment, knowing that those who resigned after the bidding were likely involved in some shady dealings.
Upon opening the door to the private room, they found a modestly dressed bald man in his thirties sitting inside. He didn’t give off
any sleazy vibes.
“Hello, Miss Symons, my name is Perseus Lindon.”
Isabella nodded politely, and then all of them took their seats. Keira and Perseus were acquainted, having had previous real
estate transactions. Isabella and Mandy listened attentively on the side, gaining a rough understanding of the other party’s
intentions.
The few companies interested in participating in the bidding had all secretly acquired the base price, but there was some
corruption involved. Perseus also had access to the base price, but he was a peripheral figure and couldn’t obtain the final base
price.

“If you trust me, Miss Symons, I can provide you with the base price I know.”
Buying and selling the base price was illegal. Isabella took a sip of tea and replied, “I’ll contact you once I’ve considered it.”
Perseus understood what she was saying and bid them farewell before leaving.
Isabella found him unreliable, but she didn’t voice her concerns to Keira. Bidding was a sensitive event, especially when this was
a national-level event. They had already violated the rules by meeting with personnel privately. If someone were to take a photo,
the consequences would be unimaginable.
About twenty minutes after Perseus left, they exited the private room. As they passed the elevator, they suddenly witnessed
several doctors rushing upstairs with a stretcher.
Isabella was startled and immediately thought of Seth.
Whispers could be heard from the surrounding crowd. “It seems to be a man. I’m not sure if it’s an allergy or a heart condition,
but he fainted.”
“He’s quite handsome...”
Isabella widened her eyes. Her mind hadn’t fully processed the situation, but her feet were already in motion. She pushed
through the people in front of her and hurried up the escalator to the rooftop. Mandy and Keira shouted at her from below, but
she paid no attention to them.
Only one thought occupied her mind. Seth had been triggered by the mango scent she had encountered earlier, and he was
having an allergic reaction!
The area in front of her was crowded with people, especially when she reached the rooftop, where she could barely squeeze
through.
“Make way! We need to save someone!!” the doctor shouted anxiously, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. Isabella’s heart
sank.
She hesitated for only a moment before her determination took over, and she forcefully pushed her way through the crowd.
