Chapter 118
“Jason, last time you came to me and told me about your sister. Later, you got wasted. That was when I got the baby.” The
woman said while weeping, not caring about the people coming and going on the street. All she wanted was to keep the man in
front of her. “Sarah...” “Jason, shut up. You were drunk and didn’t remember anything. She said she was pregnant with your child
and you are buying it?” Suddenly, a lady in luxurious clothes walked over from afar. Judith looked over, and her pupils contracted
violently. The lady in front of her, who was wearing a peach-red suit and luxurious jewelry, happened to be Marilyn. “Mom, why
are you here?” When Jason saw his mother, his face darkened. He looked at his mother in shock. Jason couldn’t believe that
Marilyn was stalking him. Ever since Marilyn found out that Sarah was Jason’s girlfriend, Marilyn had been tracking Jason’s
whereabouts every day.
Sarah’s family was not well off. Her family opened a barbecue stall there to make a living. Jason knew that his mother would
know about his relationship with Sarah sooner or later. He was afraid that his mother would harm Sarah, so he came over tonight
to break up with Sarah. “Of course, I am here. If I weren’t here, you would be fooled by this woman.” Marilyn glared at her son
with a stern expression “No, Mrs. Chaney, I wasn’t fooling Jason. I AM pregnant with Jason’s child.” Sarah looked at Marilyn with
her watery eyes full of determination. Marilyn looked at Sarah with contempt. Marilyn’s eyes were very cold. She looked down on
Sarah and sneered sarcastically, “My son was drunk, so you tried to blackmail him? Let me tell you something. The Chaney
family is out of your league. A Farrell girl doesn’t deserve my son. Here is a check, 150,000 dollars. Whether your baby is
Jason’s or not, the money is for its nourishment.” After saying that, Marilyn threw the check at Sarah’s feet with a disdainful look.
Sarah listened to Marilyn’s words and was instantly stiffened. Sarah looked at Marilyn in a daze. Tears flowed down silently from
Sarah’s face. She looked hopeless. “Mom, you can’t do this. Sarah is already pregnant with my child. I want to marry Sarah.”
This was the first time Jason had ever fought against his mother. “Shut up!” Marilyn glared fiercely at her son, her face full of
disappointment, “Sarah.” Suddenly, a plump woman rushed out of the barbecue stall. The woman seemed to have just come out
of the kitchen. She was still wearing an apron and there were some oil stains on it. She was the mother of Sarah, Flora Carrison.
“Sarah, are you crazy? Why are you being so stupid? You are making a fool of yourself in public.” Flora held Sarah in her arms
and looked down at the check at Sarah’s feet. Flora bent down and picked it up. Then, she threw it at Marilyn, who was standing
at the side. Flora’s face was chubby yet delicate. She looked at Marilyn angrily. “Take your stinky money and get lost. Who wants
your money? No matter how poor my family is, we can afford to raise a grandson. We don’t need you to pity us.” “Since you don’t
want the money, then take good care of your daughter in the future. If you continue to pester my son, you will lose your stall.”
Marilyn threatened Flora coldly. Flora froze a bit and a trace of fear appeared in her eyes. The barbecue stall was the only way to
support the Farrell family. Flora also had a son who was in university and she supported him with the money earned from the
barbecue stall. “Mom, that’s too much!” Jason looked at his mother and roared.
