Savanna sat at the end of the bed, looking at Lorena, who was breathing evenly. Lorena looked thin, and her hair was gray.
Savanna felt a wisp of bitterness.
Lorena had no kid. She once had a husband, but it was the same as being single. What a bleak life!
Savanna lowered her head to check her phone. Suddenly, a hot trending topic popped up, saying, “The cruel woman from the
Young family is seriously ill. Her grandson is not her biological grandson. And her granddaughter-in-law didn’t care about her
when she peed on the bed. Moreover, her granddaughter-in-law even drove away nice visitors. What an evil woman!”
The news did not specify the names. But there were not many Young families in Philadelphia, and the Young Group had once
been in the business world. Everyone knew that the cold blooded and ruthless woman from this family was Lorena.
Savanna looked up at Lorena. When she was about to read the trending topic again, it was gone and became blank. She
blinked, but she found it still blank. She almost suspected that her eyes were blurred just now. Now the trending topic was a
female celebrity scandal. Savanna knew that the trending topic she saw just now had been canceled. Who had such an ability to
do this? And this was
related to the Young family. Obviously, it must be Brandon.
Many comments emerged when the female celebrities’ scandals were known to the public. But in less than half an hour, the
trending topic was replaced by news about the Young Group. Soon the Young Group’s news was replaced by that again. This

Brandon came back. He pulled up the tie around his neck, rolled up his sleeves, and revealed an elbow. He looked elegant and
noble. He looked at Lorena who was sleeping on the bed and then at Savanna. He sat at the head of the bed and did not say a
word for a long time.

Savanna also had something in mind, but she did not say anything. In the room, the atmosphere was tense. After a while,
Lorena woke up. She opened her eyes and saw that the person in front of her was Brandon. Lorena blinked, and tears fell from
the corners of her eyes. Lorena had been a strong woman all her life and had never shown weakness to anyone.
Brandon felt heartbroken when seeing the tear that had fallen from the corner of her eyes.
Brandon got up and walked to the bathroom.
Then, he locked himself inside.
Brandon only came out after a few minutes. His expression was bad, and there was smoke in the bathroom. Savanna looked up
and saw the extinguished cigarette butts on the ashtray on the basin. The ashtray was full of butts.
Seth brought the food over. Brandon tried to get Lorena to eat something. However, Lorena didn’t even have the appetite for the
soup. She sighed, shaking her head.
Brandon couldn’t bear this and left Seth in the hospital. He and Savanna returned to the Moon Villas.
Brandon drove while Savanna sat in the passenger seat. Inside the car was a cold atmosphere, and neither of them spoke.
As Brandon reached the destination, he turned off the engine and stepped directly into the villa.
Savanna followed
The two of them went upstairs one after the other. When Savanna entered, she glanced at the tie and coat on the bed. She
stood outside the bathroom, listening to the sound of water from inside. Looking at the tall figure trending topic today, Savanna
felt
quite upset.
After looking at it for a long time, Savanna went to the chair by the window and rock the chair lightly. She lit a cigarette for
herself. The cigarette could numb her so that she could calm down for a moment.
Clang.
The bathroom door opened, and in the mist, Brandon came out with a towel wrapped around his waist. His arms, chest, and
waist were dripping with water. He looked strong and sexy.

Savanna turned around and only took a glance, her throat somewhat dry.
Brandon wiped his hair and walked over to her. While drying his hair, he asked, “Why aren’t you speaking?”
Savanna said gently, “I didn’t want to disturb you.”
Brandon dried his hair, washed the towel, and hung it up. He returned to the windowsill, and Savanna had already fallen asleep
on the chair.
Brandon took a coat and put it on her body. His movements were very gentle, but Savanna was woken up.
Savanna glanced at Brandon. Seeing that his complexion was better, she reached out and rubbed
her aching eyebrows.
Brandon dried his body, took off the towel on his waist, and put on clean clothes in front of Savanna. He then made himself a cup
of tea. He tilted his head and lit a cigarette. “You can ask now. What do you want to know?”
Brandon looked as if he would tell her about everything he knew.
Savanna asked, “What said on the hot trending topic was not true. I didn’t know that grandma would pee on the bed. She asked
me to find Ashley. I said that it was pointless because we didn’t have any evidence to say that Ashley was the arsonist who
wanted to kill you back then. We didn’t have any evidence. So she was angry and smashed me with a glass. I stood outside the
door for a while, and she wet the bed. Brandon, I really didn’t mean it.”
As she spoke, Savanna’s voice was somewhat choked.
Brandon could tell that she was so careful when serving Lorena.
Brandon looked out of the window at the dark starry sky. His eyes were focused on the few scattered rays of light there. He
lowered his head and smoked deeply. His cheeks sank deeply, looking so sexy and charming.
Seeing that he didn’t speak, Savanna added, “I didn’t ask Ashley to come. She said that she came to visit Grandma. I was afraid
that Grandma would wake up and fight with her, so I drove Ashley away.
Then the reporters came. Brandon, please believe me.”

Brandon took off the cigarette and puffed out a mouthful of smoke. He retracted his gaze and met Savanna’s bright eyes. His
Adam’s apple rolled. “I didn’t say that I don’t believe in you.
“That’s not what I’m sad about. Grandma doesn’t have many days left, and I ... can’t do anything for her. From her, I can see the
sadness and helplessness of being a human. What’s the point of being strong for a lifetime? We will all end up in
graves.”
Savanna leaned over, grabbed Brandon’s hand, and gently placed it on his knee. The warmth spread through his fingers.
Savanna sat next to Brandon, her face touching Brandon’s shoulder and feeling his warm skin.
Brandon finished smoking and threw the cigarette butt away. He held Savanna’s face, lowered his gaze, and put Savanna’s fair
and tender face in his hands. He said, “I never believed in the news. I just felt too distressed, whether it was about you or
Lorena.”
Savanna felt a lump in her throat, and tears were
about to come out. She tried her best to widen her eyes, forcing the mist in her eyes away.
“Did you ask the public relations department to deal with the news?”
Brandon didn’t say anything. He turned his face away. His jawline looked very cold. Savanna now realized that the trending topic
thing in the afternoon was fierce and terrifying war.
Whoever started the war was the enemy of the Young family.
It could only be Ashley. Her purpose was to force them to withdraw the lawsuit. But this strengthened Savanna’s determination to
put Rafael in jail.
