Carina Russo POV
Our stay at the hospital was long and boring. Ryan didn’t let me work on my projects or make my portfolio. I took my classes online, and Ryan stayed up with me until the nurse scolded us.
“Weren’t you just so excited to get out of here? Why are you daydreaming now?” Ryan’s irritated voice broke me out of my thought.
“Coming.” I said, signing some papers and running out after him.
He picked me up bridal style, placing me in the blue car.
“I can walk, dumbass.” I grumbled, smoothening the skirt I was wearing.
“You should be happy I’m so romantic.” Ryan replied, starting the car.
“Sure.” I looked at my phone which had congratulatory messages.
“You know I love you right?” Ryan suddenly said, while I was replying to Marco’s text.
“So what?” I asked, not looking up from my phone.
“So plenty. You belong to me. You shouldn’t talk to other guys!” He said, glaring at my text.
“People can’t belong to other people, Ryan. Andrew is my brother, and I’m not a fan of ******.”
Ryan frowned.
“Carina. I swear, you will not talk to anyone with a di*k.” I looked at him, confused. Why was he suddenly so bothered?
“I can do whatever I want.” I curtly replied, looking out of the window. We drove back to our penthouse in silence. As soon as the car stopped, I grabbed my things and got the hell out of the weird atmosphere inside.
“Wait for me!” Ryan jammed his hand between the door and ran in. I sighed, not looking at him, afraid he would say weird things again.
He stayed silent till I unlocked the door of the penthouse.
“Why are you being so stubborn? Its a simple request!” He said, pinning me against the wall
“I’m being stubborn!? You’re being unreasonable! I have a lot of male friends, you think I’m going to jump every one of them and f*ck them?”
He grimaced, his eyes saying he did.
“Wow.” I scoffed. “You don’t trust me to be faithful. You expect me to cheat on you. Well, if you keep being an insecure son of a bitch, I might do that!”
Ryan gulped, his Adams apple bobbing.
“If you could just… ” My lips curled up in disappointment.
“You’re kidding right? You have two seconds to take back your words.”
“If you would fucking agree with me, and not always fight back, this wouldn’t be happening.”
“Are you blaming me !? Sorry, no.” I felt my eyes moisten, but I didn’t reach up to wipe them.
“Don’t start with the waterworks now, DeLuca.” He said, and I noted the change in the surname.
“I won’t cry. You don’t deserve my tears.” I said, making sure my voice didn’t crack.
I saw my pathetic reflection in Ryan’s eyes.
“Get out of my house.” I said, hoping he would just apologize.
“Fine.” He took his car keys, and went out slamming the door.
I picked up the heavy books and threw them against the door.
