Ryan Collins POV
I ran around the hotel, looking for Carina who had mysteriously disappeared while I was facing off with mother.
“Did you see Carina?” I asked Nico, who was holding his daughter in his arms.
“Did you see Sara?” He scratched his head.
“Lets look… ” My voice was cut off by a shrill scream from one of the rooms ahead. I briskly walked forward, twisting the doorknob, but paused.
“You called Mrs Collins didn’t you? Haven’t you done enough already? You’ve already married Nico! What more do you need?” Carina’s calm, but annoyed voice came.
“Don’t look at me like that, bitch! You have everything! And I … have nothing. You always get the better things. I hate you!” Sara Whites bitter voice shouted back.
Nico stood stock still infront of me, listening to his wife.
“Sara, I forgave you for sleeping with Nico. I forgave you for the accident you caused me and Ryan. And now you’re going to ruin my marriage. You should be ashamed.”
My brows rose in surprise.Sara White had organised the car crash?
“Well I’m not. I will never stop hating you. Never!” Her voice had risen maniacally, and Nico apparently couldn’t stand it anymore.
He flung open the door and glared at the two women, one pale, scared and with a defiant look in her eyes, and the other confident and arrogant, a cold, expressionless face.
“Carina.” I held out my arm for her.
“Of course you heard everything.” She spat, but her eyes softened, and she took my hand.
“I handled my mother. She won’t be a problem anymore.” I hugged Carina. She returned the hug, a little down.
“As long as I can be with you, everything is alright.” She whispered, kissing my lips softly.
I turned to Nico and Sara, the couple having an intense argument.
“You almost killed Carina. My Carina. She protected me from the impact of the accident. She protected you in the hopes that you would reform. I’m not that nice. You.. you’re going to prison.” I shouted, my voice weak.
Carina gripped my hand hard.
“No. Let her be. I don’t want her to go to prison. I will always consider her as my best friend.”
I swallowed my anger down, fondly looking down at Carina.
“I hope I never see you again, Sara White, or I will…”
“Okay we’re going!” Carina pulled me out of the room, tugging me to the other one.
She mashed her lips to mine, pushing the suit from my shoulders, unbuttoning my vest and shirt.I was taken aback at her sudden moves.
“Is something wrong?” I asked, stroking her hair.
“Yes.” She removed my shirt.
“You are not n*ked yet.Thats what’s wrong.”
I laughed and watched her pull her dress over her head and kick off her heels.
“Ryan Collins, I love you.”
I smiled at her fondly.
“And I, you.”
