Reyna shook off Martin’s hand. Martin realized that he was a little rude, so he withdrew his hand quickly. He said, “Ms. Reyna, I don’t deny the bad thing I have done before. I am trying to fix them. Can I have another chance?”
“It has nothing to me whether you are fixing them or not.” Reyna strode forward and walked out of the hospital.
“But I really want to be your friend. I am your client, so we will meet each other many times. If you took me as your enemy, our cooperation will be much harder,” Martin said.
“But I don’t want to…” Reyna stopped to answer him.
“Be careful!!” Martin pulled Reyna over.
Reyna was pulled away before she finished her words. Martin put his arm on her shoulders and pulled her over.
They fell to the ground and saw a racing car. But the car was stopped by a policeman at once.
“Reyna, are you alright?” Martin stood up and then held Reyna up. His arm was dislocated.
Reyna stood up slowly. She was shocked and said, “I am fine.”
But she noticed that Martin was holding his arm. She asked, “What’s wrong with your arm?”
“It seems to be dislocated,” Martin said.
Reyna wanted to say something, but the policeman ran over to check them. The policeman said, “Are you two alright? The driver got drunk. If you two got hit by the car, things would be very hard now.”
Reyna looked in the distance and saw the driver, who had gotten out of the car. He was leaning against his car and answering the policemen’s questions.
Reyna pointed at Martin’s arm and said, “His arm is dislocated. We have to go to the hospital now.”
The policeman offered to drive Martin to the hospital but Martin declined him. He had a car but he couldn’t drive now. So, Reyna had to drive him to the hospital.
Although she didn’t like Martin, he indeed saved her life just now. It was her duty now to drive him to the hospital.
Reyna took him to the hospital. After they came to the orthopedics department, Martin was in agony and he couldn’t help sweating. His face was pale.
“Are you alright?” Reyna asked.
A minute ago, Martin looked normal, so she thought that his situation was not serious. But until Reyna saw his pale face, she realized that he was in pain.
When Martin was having his bone reset, he kept groaning. His teeth were also trembling. Reyna was nervous.
She heard the sound of a click then.
The doctor slowly put down his hand and said, “It is fine now.”
The doctor ended Martin’s agony. Martin was leaning against the chair, looking weak and desperate.
“Doctor, has he recovered?” Reyna asked.
“Yes, I have reset his bone. He would get better if he insisted on rubbing medicine on his arm,” the doctor said.
The doctor prescribed some medicine. Reyna went to take the medicine for Martin, who was still sitting on the chair. A nurse was robbing medicine on his arm and then she put a cast on his arm.
Martin had got his arm in a cast and Reyna came back soon with medicine. His right arm was hanging on his neck. He had to be like this for days before he recovered.
Reyna handed the medicine to Martin and said, “Here you are. You have to use them according to the prescription. Then you will recover in a week.”
Martin took over the medicine and said playfully, “Reyna, shouldn’t you thank me after I saved you?”
“Thank you,” Reyna said.
Martin was stunned. He didn’t expect that Reyna would say it so quickly.
“I saved your life. Are we friends now?” Martin asked.
Reyna looked up at him and said coldly, “Thank you for saving my life. But we shouldn’t see each other again.”
“I have to leave now.” Reyna picked up her bag and walked away.
Martin shouted in agony.
Reyna turned around in shock. She said worriedly, “What’s wrong?”
“It hurts. Reyna, although we are not friends now, you should send me home. After all, my arm hurts. I became this because of saving you. I can’t drive now. You will not leave me alone here, right?” Martin said tentatively.
Hearing it, Reyna thought that she was indeed responsible for sending Martin home now.
After all, he indeed broke his arm because of her.
“Let’s go. I’ll send you back,” Reyna said.
Martin reached out his left hand, suggesting Reyna hold him. He said, “Can you lend me a hand? I can’t walk by myself now.”
Reyna rolled her eyes at him and said, “Your arm is broken. But you still have your legs.”
Martin laughed and said, “Reyna, why are you so mean to me?”
“I am a mean woman,” Reyna retorted.
Martin choked on his words.
In the end, Martin walked on his own. He just had his bone reset and his legs were limp now.
He stopped joking with Reyna because he was afraid that she would be pissed off and leave him alone in the hospital.
Reyna drove him back.
Martin invited Reyna to have a cup of tea in his house, but Reyna declined him.
She said, “We are not friends. I don’t drink tea in a stranger’s house.”
Martin was speechless.
But he found Reyna so different from those women he dated before.
He didn’t force her. He stood with her until she got in a taxi.
It was 1 pm after Reyna went back to the hospital.
She had called Lance and told him what happened just now. She didn’t want Lance to worry about her.
Lance was playing piano when Reyna walked into the room. He stopped when Reyna walked over and said, “Reyna, are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” Reyna said.
“Then how is Martin’s arm?” Lance was also worried about Martin.
“He is fine, too. Don’t worry,” Reyna said.
Lance didn’t know what happened between Reyna and Martin, so he believed what Martin told him.
But one thing Martin said was true. He was indeed Reyna’s client but he was not her friend.
Reyna knew that men like Martin must have some other purposes to approach her.
She was not interested in Martin and she didn’t want to see him again.
The doctor told Reyna that a young man died in a car crash. The man’s family was willing to donate his heart. Leroy had contacted this family but the doctor didn’t know how things were going.
Reyna was excited after the doctor told her about it. She rushed back to the Imperial Garden because she wanted to talk to Leroy.
She found Leroy in the study. He was standing in front of the window, talking on the phone.
“Leroy!” Reyna called him in a low voice.
