- Chapter 277 - Return Lance To Me
Leroy called out to her for a long time. With a slight frown, he finally slowly opened her eyes.
Her eyes were red and swollen with tears as she stared at him.
She seemed to think of something and suddenly sat up. She grabbed Leroy’s clothes and asked him, “Leroy… Where is Lance? Where did you take him? Take me to see him! I want to see him! Please, let me see him!”
“Lance has been… buried.”
“What?” Reyna was stunned. A few seconds later, he burst into tears again. “No… Impossible… Lance was fine just now. He can’t be buried. Leroy, take me to see him… Why don’t you let me see him? Why?”
Reyna crazily beat his body. Her voice was hoarse from crying. Her pale face was even paler, and she was breathing quickly as if she was going to die in the next second.
Leroy hugged her tightly. “Sorry.”
Reyna fell on his body with her head leaning against his shoulder. She continued to say, “Let me see him, I want to see him…”
Reyna suddenly laughed, crying and laughing, like a madman who suffered a breakdown. “Leroy, you killed Lance. Why did you kill Lance… He died… My brother died…”
As she spoke, she cried again. The extreme pain made her originally weak body weaker, but she continued to hit him, biting him with all her might, “Return my brother to me… Leroy, return Lance to me! You killed him, you killed him!”
Reyna cried sadly and pitifully. Her entire head hurt because she was too sad. The pain in her heart was like countless knives cutting her body.
As if she was mangled covered by the blood.
Like Lance, who lay in a pool of blood without breathing, was unable to hear her call. She was so painful that there was no other perception.
Leroy hugged her tightly, letting her vent her anger and sadness by hitting him, “Okay, I’ll take you to see him tomorrow.”
“I want to see him now. I must see him immediately!”
It was already dark, and it was drizzly outside the window.
He glanced out the window and finally agreed, “Alright.”
Leroy drove her to the cemetery. She sat quietly on the deputy seat, leaning her head against the back of the chair, and her sights were dead as she looked out of the window at the scenery that was retreating.
It was summer, but she was already wearing a winter coat.
Her whole body was cold. Because she just recovered from a high fever, her body was still sometimes cold and sometimes hot, and her breathing became weaker.
Leroy originally wanted to wait for her to calm down and at least wait for her body to recover before bringing her over to see Lance.
However, if she was not allowed to come over and take a look, she would not give up and would continue crying, never stopping.
Leroy originally thought, after bringing her to the cemetery to see Lance, at least her mood would be a little better, but she still cried. Her whole body was lying on Lance’s grave. Her hands were frantically beating the cement cemetery. She kept smashing the cemetery with stones, trying to break the cemetery and dig out Lance.
In the entire empty cemetery, only her mournful and desperate cries could be heard. The drizzle grew heavier and heavier. Her clothes were already soaked through by the rain, and her hair was draped over her shoulders, making her look small and thin.
The rain, like her tears, continued to fall. It became darker.
Reyna cried helplessly as if she had been abandoned by the world. No one could repair the pain of losing her closest kin in her heart.
However, no matter how much she smashed it, even if her hand was swollen, the cemetery still had no way.
Leroy swiftly walked over with one hand holding the umbrella, and then he held with the other hand, “Reyna let’s go. Don’t cry anymore. I’ll take you back.”
Reyna was so weak that it seemed as if she would fall in the next second, but she burst with the strength to push Leroy away. She said angrily, “It’s all because of you! Leroy, you are a murderer! It was you who killed Lance, you killed Lance! You killed my Lance!”
Reyna fell to the ground, her hands covering her face as she cried.
Why did he kill Lance, her brother…
Her only kin.
What do you want me to do…
What to do…
Leroy had thought that Reyna would blame him for killing Lance after she woke up.
He had anticipated it, but when he heard her accuse him in despair, he couldn’t help but panic.
“Your brother… I didn’t hit him. I didn’t think of hitting him.”
Leroy, controlled all the economic lifeline of the black market, like a wolf in the black market who could do whatever he wanted.
He was the man that everyone followed.
However, when facing her, he felt guilty and helpless.
Reyna didn’t expect Leroy to still quibble. She was so angry, that she fainted again.
“Reyna!” Leroy quickly ran over to hold her. Only then did he feel that her body was cold, like a corpse without any signs of life.
Without any hesitation, he carried her in his arms and brought her home.
…
She just recovered from the fever, but because of this rain, she got fever again. Layton rushed over and took her temperature with his hand, and he was almost scared to death.
“Leroy, what are you doing? Her illness has not recovered yet, how can you let her get wet.”
After blaming Leroy, Layton immediately began his rescue.
After Layton’s rescue, Reyna’s fever slowly brought down.
After everything was settled, Layton stood up and went downstairs.
As soon as he reached the stairs, he saw a man sitting alone on the sofa. He was lonely, like a child no one wanted.
Layton walked down the stairs.
Hearing the voice, Leroy looked up at him, “Is she alright?”
“She was on a drip, and her fever has started to bring down, but you can’t let her get wet again. Otherwise, no matter how good her body is, it won’t be enough.”
Leroy answered lightly and looked exhausted. He was not as high-spirited as he used to be.
Layton sat beside him and hesitated for a long time before saying, “You really… hit her brother to death?”
Layton understood Leroy very well. Since Leroy loved Reyna so much, he couldn’t hurt her closest kin.
If he wanted to hurt Lance, he wouldn’t have asked around for the heart that could be donated to Lance.
Although Leroy didn’t find the appropriate heat, Layton knew what Leroy did for Reyna.
Layton had thought Leroy loved Reyna deeply and stubbornly, but now it seemed that it was not just like this.
Apart from that, Leroy loved Reyna humbly.
Leroy was destined to stand higher than anyone else from the moment he was born. He was dissipated, unrestrained, and treated women like clothes that could be changed frequently.
Layton never thought that he would love her.
And he loved her so humbly.
Leroy sat on the sofa, his legs separated, his hands supporting his knees, his head deeply buried in the middle of his legs, his messy hair hanging down, covering his face, no one could see his current expression.
But Layton could feel that Leroy was regretful, panicked, and couldn’t do anything to make up.
