His breathing was heavy and uneven. And his thin lips covered hers again. Suddenly, he felt the pain from his lower lip, realized that his lip was bleeding. Leroy removed from her lips because of the pain.
He touched his lower lip, wiped the blood. And the blood was on the corner of his mouth as his finger moved. He was sure that he had everything under his control. And his confident look increased his attraction and glamour.
“You are really a dog with sharp teeth.” Leroy was about to continue, but a knock interrupted him.
Reyna took this opportunity, and disengaged herself from his grip. She pushed him away, and quickly got up from the sofa.
She got clothes neatly on in a fluster. However, Leroy was very calm. And his clothes were still neat as they always were.
“Who?”
“Mr. Leroy, it’s me.”
It was Leroy’s secretary, Jane.
“Come in.” Leroy turned around and sat down in front of his desk. Jane opened the door and walked in.
Just as she was about to say something, she noticed Reyna beside Leroy and was surprised. When she saw a wound on Leroy’s lower lip, a trace of jealousy flashed in her eyes.
However, she quickly concealed it and smiled sweetly, “Mr. Leroy, we have an appointment with Mr. Wayne Nolan to negotiate about the cooperation today. He has been waiting for you downstairs. Can I invite him here?”
“Invite him here.”
“Okay.”
Jane turned around and walked away. However, Reyna had quietly left the office when they were talking.
…
Thinking of Leroy’s threat, Reyna did not dare to contact Bentley in any way. However, according to the recent reports, the PR of the Decker Group did well in this crisis. Only in a week, customers got a satisfactory solution. The perfumes had been recalled and retested.
Leroy seemed in a good mood this week. After work, Leroy took Reyna to the Full Bloom Club for fun again.
To be honest, Reyna did not like the Full Bloom Club. Every time she came here, she would think of Simon, whose fingers were cut off by Leroy because he cheated. And the people here led a life of depravity.
“I’m not feeling well. Can I not go there?” Reyna looked at him in rare beseeching eyes, expecting his answer.
Leroy sat on driver’s seat, tapping on the steering wheel with his hand, and looked at her, “What’s wrong? Did I go too far last night?”
Reyna was lost for words, sat upright and looked straight ahead. “Go!”
Leroy couldn’t help but chuckle. He stopped making fun of her and started the car.
Reyna was still in fear because what happened to Simon. But it seemed that Leroy went there merely for amusement.
Leroy led her to the shooting room on the fourth floor. As the largest entertainment venue in Hill City, the Full Bloom Club offered a wide range of entertainment activities. And shooting was one of them.
The fourth floor was very different from the fifth floor that she came last time with Leroy. Only a few people were shooting in the spacious and silent hall. It was quiet except the occasional shots and the sound of loading.
It gave people a strong and chilling sense of desolation.
In the hall, dozens of small doors were in a line. Twenty meters away from the doors, the same number of round targets was on one-to-one opposite position to the doors. Behind the rows of targets, there were targets of the same version but of much smaller sizes moving back and forth.
Reyna had never shot, so she didn’t know how to do.
However, by looking at others, she got the conclusion that it was the most difficult to aim at the moving target.
The target was not only small and in distance, but moved rapidly. It required good eyesight and responsiveness from the shooter.
Leroy asked Reyna to sit on the sofa beside him. He walked over and put on goggles and gloves.
Leroy stood there. He wore a set of black clothes, had a tall and straight figure. His slender fingers were covered in black gloves. The long leather boots flattered his slim legs.
He was the symbol of nobility and hubris.
He clenched his fists and flicked his wrists again and again to adjust the gloves to the most comfortable state. He then raised his hand, took a gun on the wall, skillfully loaded the gun, and stood in front of the small door with his legs apart. He lifted his arm, held the gun, aimed at the distant target, was calm and composed.
He fired one bullet at the target.
White smoke slowly rose out of the muzzle. That small target was moving back and forth. That shot was a perfect bull’s eye.
After a few seconds of silence, enthusiastic applause burst out.
“Mr. Leroy, you are always wonderful in shooting. Your shot is an exact bull’s eye.” A man beside him seemed to be familiar with Leroy and kept applauding and complimenting him.
Leroy only smiled and kept an aloof look.
He put down his gun, turned around, and waved towards Reyna.
Reyna didn’t move. And she knew clearly Leroy’s intention.
Leroy stood where he was and looked at her at distance, “Come here!”
Reyna looked away to avoid meeting his eyes. She heard someone was rapidly walking towards her. Immediately, that man grasped her arm. Leroy pulled her to the shooting range.
Leroy put his one hand on her waist, holding her tightly in his arms. He lowered his head and got near to her ear, asked, “Can you shoot?”
Reyna shook her head and tried to get away from him to show her resistance, “No. Leroy, let go of me. I don’t want to shoot.”
“You can learn.”
“I don’t want to!”
“You are my woman now! You must learn to shoot. I will teach you.” He put the gun in her hand and looked at the target in the distance. “Look, if you can shoot on the inner ring, you will get a high score. It means you are good.”
As he spoke, he put on goggles and gloves for her, and held up her hand, his hand covering hers. Reyna held a gun, aimed at that target.
“Stand steadily with your legs apart. Keep your hand steady. Aim at that red core and shoot!”
Before Reyna could figure out what happened, Leroy held her hand and fired one bullet. The bullet hit the center of the inner ring.
Reyna blinked. And the sound of shooting echoed in her ears. She was still in shock.
“Can you?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, do it yourself.” Leroy freed her hand.
Leroy walked to a sofa near him. As he sat down, he looked up and saw Reyna threw the gun aside, took off her goggles and gloves, ran towards the door.
Reyna was angry.
She didn’t fall down by the violent impact of shooting. It was because that Leroy held her hand. Reyna believed that without him by her side, she would fall on the ground for she was so thin.
Leroy did not expect Reyna would run way. He quickly stood up and strode over, grabbed Reyna’s collar with one hand and lifted her up like a chicken.
“Where do you want to go?”
“I don’t want to learn to shoot! Let go of me!” Reyna kicked and punched Leroy, screamed, as if Leroy would take her to execution ground.
Leroy held one hand firmly on her waist. And she was struggling to get rid of him. She was lifted above the ground, kicking in the air.
The door was suddenly pushed open. And two voices were heard before the men coming in.
