As the newlyweds made their way to the limousine, Caroline looked around the crowd and found her dad and her uncle standing amongst the crowd along with her half-brother. Caroline looked at Mason, trying to keep her emotions in check for the sake of her best friend and brother, who had just gotten married.
Once the ceremony ended, Caroline and Persephone left together with the kids. They made their way to their limousine, which took them back to the hotel. They left the kids in the hotel suites with the nannies before making their way back to the limousine.
After the beautiful ceremony under the beautiful sunset, the guests made their way to the venue in the limousine. Inside the venue, guests made their way to their table, waiting for the newlyweds to arrive.
Caroline and Persephone walked inside the venue while holding hands. They made their way to their table, where Charles, Sebastian, and Liam were sitting. Caroline sat in her seat, next to Liam and Persephone sat next to her. “Where are the twins?” Liam asked. Caroline raised her eyebrow as she looked at him. Then she responded, “I left them at the hotel.”
The newlywed couple walked inside the venue and everyone greeted them with a round of applause. They smiled as they walked around the venue, greeting guests before making their way to the stage.
Once they stood in front of the crowd, a staff member handed Mark a microphone and he spoke, “we would like to thank you all for joining us on this very special day.” The guests clapped and Mark and Taekyung walked down the stage. They made their way to their table, where their parents were sitting. A waiter walked over to their table and served some champagne before continuing to other tables.
At Caroline’s table, Roxy had just gotten back from the bathroom and took a seat next to Sebastian. Caroline looked at the man next to her from the corner of her eye and smirked. She placed her hand on his thigh and leaned closer to his ear. “Where is your plaything?” He then placed his lips over her ear and whispered back, “I didn’t see a reason to bring her along with me.”
Caroline leaned back and removed her hand from Liam’s thigh. She placed her hand on the table as she tried to jump into the conversation they were having. As Liam noticed she was trying to ignore him, he grabbed her hand and stood up from the chair. “Come with me,” he said.
The perplexed Caroline stood up from her chair as Liam dragged her to the dance floor. He pulled her closer to him as he wrapped his arms around her. “What are you doing?” She asked. “Dance with me.”
He placed his hand over her waist and grabbed her hand as she placed her hand over his shoulder. “You can dance with anyone here. Why are you bother me?”
“I’m not bothering you,” he responded. He placed his lips over her ear and added, “you are the only one I want to dance with.” He smirked at her before making her do a spin. He then pulled her into his arms. She looked into his eyes as they stood close together.
“Are you really going to marry her?” Caroline’s question wiped the smile off his face. “Yes, I am.” Caroline’s expression changed completely. She pushed him, freeing herself from his grasp before walking away. Despite standing in the middle of couples dancing, he was alone.
Caroline walked over to a server and grabbed a glass of champagne from the tray before she continued making her way up the stairs. She walked around the second floor of the building, eventually looking down to the railing to see what was happening on the floor below.
She walked through some doors and stood on a balcony, looking at the full moon above her. The beautiful moon illuminated the bright night. She sipped on her champagne, finishing the glass in one sip. She rested one hand on the railing as her other hand held the empty champagne glass.
She let out a sigh as a man stepped behind her. He placed his hands over her shoulder and she instantly turned around. She placed the empty champagne glass on top of the railing as she stepped closer to him.
Caroline pinned Liam against the wall as she placed her hands over his cheeks. She leaned in and brushed her lips against his. She leaned back and smirked before going in for a kiss. As she separated from the kiss, she bit his bottom lip.
She smirked one last time before trying to walk away. She was about to leave when Liam grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to him. He pinned her against the wall and pampered kisses on her neck.
He placed his hand on the other side of her neck and began to trail his hand down her body. He gently grazed his fingers over her bare thigh. He slipped his hand through the slit on her dress and pressed his fingers against her panties.
His fingers moved her panties to the side and pressed his fingers against her core. He passionately kissed her soft lips as he slipped a finger inside her. She let out a moan onto the kiss as he added another finger.
After teasing her close to climax, he slipped his fingers out of her. He let go of her wrists and separated from the kiss. “What are you doing? Why’d you stop?” She asked. He smirked and leaned close to her ear. “You have to learn now how to pay for the consequences after your actions, princess.”
He looked at her again with a cocky smile before walking away. Caroline watched him away as she cursed him in her mind out of frustration. She let out a sigh before going back to the party.
After Caroline made her way down to the first floor of the building and walked back to her table, she sat on her chair and minutes later, Liam sat next to her. She ignored his presence and continued her conversation with Sebastian and Persephone.
Right before dinner was served, it was time to make a toast. Caroline stood up from her chair with a fork and a glass of champagne in her hand. She softly clicked the fork with the champagne glass, getting the attention of the guests.
“Good evening, everyone… As the sister and best friend of the grooms, I am entitled to give a little speech.” Caroline looked over at the grooms sitting at their table and smiled. “Don’t worry, I am not planning on saying anything embarrassing.” With the same smile, Caroline looked around the venue before proceeding.
“Mark, little bro. I never thought I’d see you sitting in front of me, at your own wedding, with your husband by your side. I always saw you as my annoying little brother, but tonight, tonight you are not only my annoying little brother but my best friend’s annoying husband.”
Everyone at the venue laughed and Caroline continued, “Taekyung, 가장 친한 친구, I never thought I’d see you married to my annoying little brother, yet here you are, sitting next to him. I am happy that you two have found each other and have decided to spend the rest of your lives together because you have always been family. I still remember that cold winter you two met. And now, you have sworn to love each other and be with each other for the rest of your lives, in this beautiful spring… I wish you both the best in this new journey you have chosen to take together.”
Caroline raised her champagne glass for a toast. “To the grooms.”
“To the grooms.” Caroline took a sip of her champagne before taking a seat. She looked over at Taekyung, who was sitting at the other table, mouthing the words, “thank you for the speech.” Caroline smiled, showing her pearly white teeth. “You’re welcome,” she mouthed.
After many guests had finished enjoying the food distributed by the waiters and waitresses, Mark and Taekyung stood up from their seats and walked over to the four-floor wedding cake. The photographer took pictures of them as they cut a piece of the cake.
As Mark held a plate with a piece of cake, Taekyung grabbed a fork and took a small piece of the cake. He fed the cake to Mark and he leaned in, stealing a kiss from him. After stealing the kiss at the same time, Taekyung removed some of the icing that was on Mark’s lips. He smiled before taking another piece of the slice of cake. “It’s good,” he said with a smile. Blushed, Mark smiled shily.
At the table, Persephone and Caroline were conversing when Charles spoke, “you two have not stopped talking. They are about to serve dessert and you are still not done with your food.”
“And? What are you whining about?” Persephone responded. “You are not fitting enough food in your mouth. I know from experience you can fit more than that in your mouth.” Persephone tried to hold back her laugh while letting out a suppressed chuckle.
After being in shock by what he had just said, Caroline uttered, “I can’t believe you just said that.” Liam added, “We were all having a nice evening.” Caroline repeated, “were.”
The party continued on from there. The clock was nearing four in the morning when Mark and Taekyung decided to leave for their honeymoon. The guests gathered at the entrance to see them off. They got in the back of a white limousine and left, without looking back.
Despite wanting a small intimate wedding in a beautiful venue in Italy, Mark still wanted to invite some of the friends he made on set.
After the grooms left, the guests started to make their way back to the hotel. Caroline’s family and friends had already left. Aside from the waiters and waitresses, Caroline was the only one left in the venue. She had just finished another glass of champagne when a hand gripped her wrist.
She slowly looked to the side and found Liam pouring some champagne on her empty glass. He smiled at her after serving her glass and placing the empty champagne bottle back in the ice bucket. “What are you doing here? I thought everyone left.”
Liam sat next to her as he responded, “I couldn’t possibly leave you alone in the state that you are in.” Caroline chuckled and then said, “so, you’ve come to take advantage of me, given the state that I am in?”
Liam grabbed the champagne glass from her hand after she took a sip. “Not exactly, but if that is what you want, I’ll be more than happy to comply.” Caroline smirked before standing up from the chair. “Dance with me,” she said as she made her way to the dance floor.
Liam stood up from the chair and walked over to the dance floor. He placed his hand over her waist while grabbing her hand as she placed her other hand on his shoulder. The band began to play a slow song.
Liam pulled her closer to his body and uttered, “why are you doing this?”
“Doing what?”
“Why don’t you just stop being stubborn and come back to me?” Caroline chuckled before responding, “what makes you think I am being stubborn?”
“I know you, Caroline-.”
“No, Liam. You don’t know me. You think you know me, but you only know what I want you to know.”
“Then stop playing games and show me the real you.” Caroline giggled. “Why would I do that, when playing with you is so much fun?”
“Caroline-.”
“Liam, thank you for the dance.” Caroline let go of Liam’s hand and shoulder and slowly walked away. Without turning back to look at Liam she added, “send my regards to your plaything. I am sure she would be joyous to know you were here with me.” Caroline smirked as she walked out of the venue, knowing she had gotten back at him after what he did.
When Caroline arrived at the hotel, she went to her suite. She looked at the bed and wondered where the twins were, before realizing they were in another suite. She then made her way to the bathroom and took a shower before going to bed.
It was five in the morning; the sun was going up when Caroline was finally able to get some sleep. She spent the rest of the morning and half of the afternoon sleeping. She was in the middle of a dream when Persephone walked inside the suite with the kids.
She let the children get on the bed to wake Caroline up as she opened the curtains. Mia, who was sitting next to her sleeping mother softly pat Caroline’s shoulder as she said, “Mommy, wake up.”
The maddening light coming from the window combined with the children calling her, woke her up from her slumber. Caroline slowly sat up and wrapped the children in her arms. “What are you three little trouble makers doing here?”
The children laughed as Caroline tightened her grip. “Mommy, you are hugging too hard!” Mia exclaimed. Caroline laughed and said, “this is for waking me up.” She then let go of the children before looking at Persephone.
The children jumped off the bed and sprinted towards Persephone. The kids hid behind her as Caroline continued to laugh. “Mommy, Aunt Caroline is mean,” Achilles spoke before pouting.
Persephone looked at the toddler next to her before looking back at Caroline. “Yes, she is.” Caroline laughed before grabbing her cellphone from the nightstand next to her. She stared at the time portrayed on the lock screen before getting up from the bed.
“We’re leaving in an hour. Are you all ready?”
“Actually,” Persephone spoke, “I was wondering if you could look after Achilles for a few days.” Caroline looked at her and raised her eyebrow. Without asking any questions, Caroline responded, “sure.”
