Sebastian was playing in the playroom with Mia. He was the only one that was dragged by her to play. He happily sat down on a small chair with a tiara on his head to have some tea with Mia.
Mia grabbed the teapot and pretended to serve some tea on Sebastian’s teacup. She then asked, “would you like some sugar and milk?”
“Yes, please,” Sebastian responded. Mia continued to prepare Sebastian’s pretend tea before she served her own. As she pretended to pour some tea on her teacup, she let out a sigh.
“Uncle Teddy,” Mia called out. Sebastian finished pretending to be drinking tea and placed down the teacup and the saucer. He looked at Mia and uttered, “yes, Mia?”
“Why don’t you come over more often?”
“Do you want me to come over more often?” The little girl pouted, making Sebastian chuckle. He extended out his hand and placed it on top of her head. “Don’t worry, Mia. I will come over more often to have tea with you, all right?”
Mia happily nodded. She stood up from the chair and walked up to Sebastian and hugged him. Sebastian smiled and embraced the little girl in his arms.
As they were in the middle of their hug, Persephone walked inside the playroom with Achilles and Ian. Persephone made eye contact with Sebastian and commented, “what do we have here? Princess Sebastian?”
“Ha, ha. Very funny, Sephie.” Mia then separated from the hug and smiled at Sebastian. She then sprinted out of the playroom, bewildering Persephone and Sebastian. Persephone shifted her gaze back at Sebastian and chuckled as she walked closer to him. “How about I paint your nails and do your makeup, too?” Sebastian looked up and glared at the woman next to him. “Oh, don’t look at me like that, Sebastian.”
Just then, Mia walked inside the playroom whilst dragging Charles along with her. “Have some tea with us,” she spoke. Charles looked at the man sitting at the small table and laughed. “Why are you wearing a crown?” Sebastian gave Charles the same nasty stare he gave Persephone. Then, Mia commanded, “have a seat.”
Charles gave her a perplexed look before reluctantly sitting down next to Sebastian. They stared at each other before Mia placed a tiara over Charles’ head. Persephone looked at him and let out a suppressed laugh, making Charles glare at her.
She stepped closer to him and crouched down next to him while resting her arm over his shoulder. She looked at him dead in the eye and commented, “what is wrong, princess? Not in the mood for tea?” Charles raised his eyebrow, making her laugh.
Persephone stood up and added, “don’t look at me that way, princess. You are supposed to smile and be happy all the time.”
“Yes, uncle Charles. Smile,” Mia followed up. Charles took off the tiara resting on his head and looked at Sebastian. “Could you take the kids outside for a second?” Sebastian nodded and took off his tiara. He stood up as Mia crossed her arms in disagreement. “Come on, Mia,” Sebastian spoke.
Mia pouted and shook her head. Sebastian chuckled and picked her up. “Let’s go play outside.”
“Fine,” Mia spoke, still angry about not being able to play tea time with her uncles. Sebastian walked over to the boy playing with cars and said, “let’s go play outside.” The two boys stood up from the floor and Ian asked, “can we play hide-and-seek?”
“I know a better game,” Sebastian responded.
After they walked out of the playroom and Sebastian closed the door Charles stood up from the chair and began to step closer to Persephone as she stepped back. “What’s wrong, blondie?”
Persephone let out a nervous giggle as she slowly stepped away from him. Without noticing how much she had backed away, she ended up stepping on the boys’ toys and almost fell if it weren’t for Charles.
He tightly held her in his muscular arms when she was about to fall. “Caught you,” he said with a smug smile. Their faces were only centimeters away and their breaths were brushing against each other. Their hearts beating fast with each second that passed. “There is no more running away, blondie.”
Persephone placed her hand behind Charles’ neck as she stood back up straight. She looked into his chestnut eyes and leaned closer to him. “What are you going to do now that we are alone?”
“So, this was all part of your plan?”
“Pissing you off was part of the plan. Being alone with you is just a bonus.” With the hand behind his neck, she pulled his face closer, leaning in for a kiss. Charles continued to passionately kiss her lips as his hands traveled down from her hips to her ***. He cupped her *** with his hands and bit her bottom lip.
Persephone separated from the kiss and let out a deep breath. She looked at Charles and spoke, “we can’t. Not here.”
“You were the one that started it. Now you have to pay the price.”
“You can’t make me.” Charles was about to pull her into another kiss when they heard a loud shout coming from outside of the room. They paused and looked towards the door. They looked at each other again, wondering what was going on.
Roxy was going down the stairs when Caroline called out, “Rox, wait!” Caroline stepped down a few steps of the stair and added, “Roxy, please.”
“I have nothing to say to you,” Roxy responded without looking back. She continued to climb down the spiral staircase until she reached the first floor. She then made her way to the living room, trying to find Sebastian. She looked around the empty room and then she looked out through a glass door and found Sebastian playing out by the pool with the kids.
Roxy walked out to the outdoor lounge, passing by Elizabeth, Mark, and Taekyung. She walked up to Sebastian, who was happily playing with the kids, and angrily spoke, “we’re leaving.”
Sebastian paused and looked at her with a bewildered expression. “Why? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. Let’s just go.”
“Why don’t we stay a little longer? Let’s play with the kids a bit more.”
“You are not the babysitter. Let’s go.” Sebastian looked at the children next to him and then he turned to look at Roxy once again. “What is going on? Why do you want to leave all of the sudden? What happened?”
“Nothing. Nothing happened. Can we just go?” Just then, Mia stepped closer to Sebastian and tugged on his shirt. Sebastian looked down at the little girl putting and she spoke, “don’t leave, uncle Teddy. Let’s play a little longer.”
Sebastian gave her a smile before looking back at Roxy once again. “Roxy, let’s stay a little longer-.”
“No! We’re leaving.” Right when Roxy exclaimed, the three children flinched and everyone turned to look at her. Caroline stood by the door spectating the whole thing. Mia tugged on Sebastian’s shirt again. “Please uncle Teddy.”
Roxy glared at the little girl as she tried to get Sebastian’s attention and then she exclaimed, “no!” Mia instantly gave her a nasty stare and stuck out her tongue. Sebastian angrily looked at Roxy for yelling at Mia and then he crouched down.
Sebastian looked at the children and spoke, “don’t worry. I will come back tomorrow.” He ruffled Ian and Achilles’ hair before softly stroking Mia’s silky hair. He sweetly smiled before standing up.
He changed his expression when looking at Roxy again and coldly spoke, “let’s go.” Roxy crossed her arms and began to walk behind Sebastian. He said goodbye to Elizabeth, Mark, and Taekyung, who were watching the whole thing while sitting on the outdoor couches.
Sebastian then walked to the door to go inside the mansion and said goodbye to Caroline. After Sebastian walked inside the mansion, Roxy was walking inside, completely ignoring Caroline.
Caroline grasped Roxy’s arm and tightened her grip over her slim arm. “You might be mad at me, but you have no right talking to my child like that… Don’t you ever talk to my child like that, are we clear?”
Roxy gave her a death stare and Caroline let go of her arm. Then, Roxy continued walking towards the door. She walked out of the mansion along with Sebastian as Caroline saw them leave.
Caroline then turned around and began to walk towards the outdoor lounge when she found Charles and Persephone standing in the middle of the hallway. “What happened?” Persephone asked.
“Nothing,” Caroline responded, “don’t worry about it.” She then walked out of the mansion and stepped into the outdoor lounge. She walked over to the children who had resumed the game they were playing with Sebastian.
As they noticed Caroline was close to them, they paused the game and walked closer to her. “What are you three playing?”
“We were playing a tag with uncle Teddy, but the game is not fun without him,” Mia responded. Caroline crouched down to be at eye level with the children and spoke, “why don’t we go watch a movie? Let’s just forget what happened, okay?” The children nodded but their faces were still looking glum.
“I will ask uncle Teddy to come over more often to play, but you have to promise me you will turn those frowns into smiles.” The children’s eyes instantly lit up. “But don’t let aunt Roxy come over,” Ian quietly spoke.
Caroline chuckled and spoke, “okay. Aunt Roxy won’t come over anymore.” Caroline stood up and added, “now, the first one to get to the theater wins a prize.” The three kids looked at each other before racing towards the theater.
Caroline smiled as she watched them run off. She then walked towards the door to go to the kitchen but was soon stopped by her mother. “What happened with Roxy?” Caroline looked at the woman sitting down on the couch and responded, “I might have told her the harsh truth she didn’t want to acknowledge.”
“Caroline, don’t be so harsh to your cousin, please.”
“Mom, continue sipping your mojito and talking to Mark and Taekyung. I know what I said and I am not taking it back. Especially after she yelled at Mia like that. And I would like you to stop telling everyone that I am moving out so that they can convince me to stay here because it is not happening.”
Caroline then walked to the kitchen, looking for the butler. She asked him to prepare some snacks for the children and a dry martini for her before going to the theater. She walked into the dark spacious room in the mansion and found Charles and Persephone sitting inside the room with the children.
Caroline looked at them giving them a ‘what are you doing here?’ look. Persephone instantly responded, “we were outside when they saw us and asked if we wanted to see a movie.” She hugged the little child that was sitting in her lap tightly as she added, “of course, we couldn’t refuse.”
Achilles laughed with Persephone’s tight embrace before slipping out of her grasp. He walked to the chair in the row in front and took a seat next to Mia. Caroline smiled and sat next to Charles.
“What happened with you and Rox?” Charles whispered. “That’s none of your business,” Caroline whispered back. “What are you getting mad at me for? I didn’t do anything,” Charles murmured. “Can we just drop the subject? I’m not in a good mood today.”
Charles then leaned closer to Persephone and spoke, “what is up with her today?” Persephone shrugged. “She has been having a hard time these days.”
Just then, the butler and a maid walked inside the theater. They delivered the snacks and Caroline’s martini and then left the theater, closing the door of the theater. Caroline grabbed the iPad and changed the lighting of the theater. “What movie are we watching?” Caroline asked as she browsed through the wide selection of movies.
