Kristen felt a faint pain in her abdomen. It was as if something was moving. She covered her stomach and entered the bathroom. When she saw the blood on her pants, she was stunned.
Kristen wondered if it was her period. Kristen’s period was not accurate. She had not had one for a long time. No wonder it was so painful this time.
Kristen put on her pad and filled the hot water bag with electricity. She placed it near her stomach, but it still couldn’t reduce the pain. She ate two strong painkillers before finally suppressing the pain.
She curled up on the bed, feeling weak all over and unable to concentrate.
Jade went upstairs and asked with concern, “Ms. Lawrence, are you alright? Should I call a doctor over?”
Kristen covered the blanket and said in a hoarse voice, “No need. I’m having my period. I will be fine after these two days.”
Jade nodded. Seeing that she was fine, Jade turned and left the room, gently closing the door.
Not long after, footsteps came from outside. The door was pushed open. Kristen thought it was Jade, so she did not look back.
Only when a shadow pressed down on her did she realize that something was wrong. She turned her eyes to look at Marco’s face.
“Why are you here?”
Marco looked at Kristen’s pale face and asked, “Are you feeling better now?”
“I feel terrible.”
Marco heard her words and immediately took out his phone to call the doctor.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m calling the doctor.” He knew that Kristen did not like to go to the hospital, so half a month ago, he had hired a family doctor for her.
Unfortunately, Kristen did not accept his kindness, “I don’t want to see the doctor.” She had stomach cancer and was afraid that the doctor would find out.
“If you don’t want to see the doctor, you won’t have the chance to do so when you want to.”
“I know my body. You don’t need to worry about it.” Kristen was frustrated and impatient. At that moment, her mood was like a bomb next to a fire, about to explode.
She couldn’t control her emotions when in the period, and Marco was still like a fly in front of her, annoying.
Marco smiled, “Do you think I want to care about you?”
Kristen also sneered, “If you don’t want to care about me, then go out. I’m annoyed by your presence.”
“Kristen, restrain your stubborn temper. Don’t make me feel uncomfortable.” His anger was instantly triggered.
Kristen pursed her lips. She found a comfortable position with the hot water bag in her arms and closed her eyes. Out of sight, out of mind.
Marco did not want to disturb her when he saw that she was sick, but he could not help but say, “Don’t go out these days. It’s only been a few days and you’re sick.”
Kristen put down the water bag and covered her ears. She thought that her sickness was because of Marco.
If he hadn’t done something secretly, she wouldn’t have run all over the place to find a job and wouldn’t have gotten sick.
Marco, the initiator of evil, had no idea and even came to teach her a lesson.
Marco wanted to use this method to force her to submit. He wanted her to obediently stay at home as a robot that did not make a fuss but only knew how to cook, and a sex doll that slept with him.
Marco learned from Jade that Kristen’s period had arrived.
“Why would she feel so painful in her period?”
Jade explained, “This depends on the physical condition of a person. Some people will not feel pain during their period, some will feel pain for a day or two, and some will feel pain until the end. Ms. Lawrence’s pain should be caused by the heavy cold. She just needs some herbal medicine.”
“Then how is she going to solve the problem if she doesn’t see the doctor now?”
“I will make some ginger tea later. She should be better after drinking it.”
“After the ginger tea is done, take it upstairs. Tomorrow, go to the clinic to prescribe some medicine for her.”
Jade nodded.
Marco went upstairs to wait for a while, and Jade brought the ginger tea up.
“Give it to me.” Marco took the soup and walked to Kristen’s bed, “Get up and drink the ginger tea.”
Kristen opened her misty eyes. Using the strength of Marco’s arm, she propped herself up and looked at the yellow and orange ginger tea in the mug. She turned her face to one side, “I won’t drink it.”
“Your stomach won’t hurt so much after drinking it.”
“I took painkillers and it doesn’t hurt anymore.” The taste of the ginger tea was pungent, and she was afraid that she would vomit again. Besides, she had stomach cancer and could not eat ginger.
“It’s useless to take painkillers.”
“It is not up to you. As long as it doesn’t hurt, it works for me.” Kristen gritted her teeth.
Marco frowned. He was starting to get impatient. He wrapped his arms around Kristen and forcefully squeezed her lower jaw. He forced her to open her mouth and poured the ginger tea in.
Marco did not have much experience in taking care of people. The ginger tea was hot and he did not know he should cool it down first. Kristen was scalded and became tearful. She struggled hard. In Marco’s eyes, she was going against him and his force was getting stronger and stronger.
