Gina was at loss for words. She opened her mouth, trying to say one or two words but no sound came out. It seemed her brain was not functioning properly.
However, her instinct told her that it was dangerous and she seemed to be in an unfortunate situation. She chose to trust her instinct instead.
“P-Peter… Don’t joke around like this… It’s not g-good… People will mistake you for committing a murder if they heard you… ” Gina took a step back and shrunk to the wall.
Even in this moment, she tried to make a joke to ease her worries and the fear she felt.
But Peter said nothing. He stared at her for a long time, the joke appeared seemed not to affect him.
“For my little Gina to guard against me, I had thought that you already understood my intention. It is alright if you are unwilling to follow me despite my painstaking effort. But seeing your current state, I would not be bothered by it. “
Peter said it very calmly, coupled with his emotionless face, it made Gina feel kind of scared.
Gina seemed to have realised something and suddenly shook her head frantically.
Gina felt like the colour on her face drained. Slowly, she exhaled and shrieked, “AAH! HEL—“
Unfortunately, before she could even finish her shout, Peter clutched her throat. There was not even a trace of hesitation and compassion, as if he was looking at a passerby.
Gina was compelled to stare wide eyed at the person in front but Peter lightly smiled and said, “You must not blame me for being merciless. Now that you have brought on such a big disaster, it would normally implicate us if we are not being careful. Could it be that because of you, we have to lose our lives? Gina, you must not be too selfish in life. “
Gina spared no effort in struggling as she was after all a female and even so she was in her weak state.
Not to mention she was tormented to her last gasp, how would she be able to have the strength to go up against a man at the prime of his life?
More so, fighting a growned, healthy man who used to ‘silence’ people in his life? That already scared the wits out of her.
She could only struggle and kicked futilely to do as much harm she could do to the man.
“Since you are already a threat to us once you let the secret out, then why couldn’t we get rid of the roots? There are many other people out there who are willing to offer themselves to work with us. Well, you are truly a pain in the pass in the beginning, though. “
Gina’s body slowly grew limp and her eyes began to gradually lose their spirits as if it was a dead fish that washed up ashore and dried up.
“Yeah, just how long are we going to let you get away with that? You failed, and that will be the end of you. You have to hammer the nail that sticks out, you know!”
Peter released his hands and the body underneath his hands fell into the ground with an eerie sound.
It only took a short time for the lively to become lifeless. This life of Gina had ended in prison.
“Oh Gina, you must not resent us and haunt us back, you know? That would be scary … “
Peter looked indifferently at Gina’s dead body and after a moment, he used a needle to pierce Gina’s fingertip and grabbed her hand to write a string of blooded words on the prison’s stone wall.
Immediately following that, he took out a long scarf and tied it into a knot on the railings and put her head through it.
After making sure everything was complete and getting rid of the evidence, he stood up and walked away, turning his head from the slightly moving silhouette hanging from the railing.
Turning back, Peter said, “Hmm, His Highness was indeed right. The trash he planted here could not be used anymore. Sooner or later, the secret will come out, so it was naturally right for us to do this.”
He sighed. “What a generous man His Highness is to feed her favourite delicious food one more time before her death. Well, I call it the last supper. “

“Is the food to your liking, milady? “
I put down the fork and sipped the green tea.
“It’s indeed mouth-watering, Cervantes. You have done a good job these past few days, ” I replied.
Cervantes was pleased. “Do you want me to ask the chefs to make you another gourmet meal?”
“Ah, no, ” I waved my hands. “I don’t think they want it, though. They would think it was rather cruel of me if I ordered them.”
“WHAT?” Cervantes barked.
“That’s absolutely outrageous, milady! Absolutely indecent of them to say that! They should be happy that they had the chance to serve the lady instead! Make you happy, and the bonus will be given to them! ” Cervantes yelled, trembling in fury.
I glanced at the chefs who were cowering in fear at the side wall. They were being disdainful and ridiculing me just now.
Cervantes glared at them. He pointed his finger and roared, “You! What are you doing now? Prepare another gourmet meal for the lady or I will be the one who dismisses and fires you all! “
I grinned, taking another sip of the tea.
“Lately, it had been so peaceful. I wonder if anything is going to happen anytime if I was careless?” I murmured. It was true. Everything was indeed peaceful and quiet as it this was like the storm before the tsunami.
I sighed. I could not be like this! I need to do something before that ‘event’ happens!
Suddenly, I had an idea.
‘For now, wouldn’t it be cool if I play with my little doll? She must be so happy to meet me, yes, I’m sure she must be happy!’ I clapped my hands and cheered excitedly.
Ah, I could hardly wait for the sun to set and change to night.
I will meet her later tonight.
Pang!
The door bursted open.
I flinched and bumped to my feet. Cervantes was taken aback, he frowned. “Where does this indecency come from, I ask you, Blaire?”
A maid who was called Blaire did not reply. She panted heavily and gasped, trying to catch her breath as if she had run for several laps on the duchy’s ground.
Shaking, she tried to speak a word but immediately closed her mouth when she noticed my look.
Cervantes noticed her strange behaviour and walked to her side. “What’s wrong, Blaire? “
“I-I … No, the lady herself should know about this… ” Blaire let out a kind of muffled scream.
All of a sudden, her face changed. It was furious. I had never seen Blaire lose control like this before. There were angry blotches of colour in her cheeks, her hands were balled into fists. She was trembling with fury.
“…na. “
“Pardon? I could not hear you, speak clearly,” demanded Cervantes who began to feel irritated by her behaviour.
Blaire mustered up her courage and cried, “Milady… Sir! G-Gina … I-is … DEAD!!”
