“Luna, do you see her expression just now?” asked Yunifer gleefully, pressing her stomach to calm down her laughter.
“It’s … priceless, ” I replied blankly.
“For real? Everyone should have witnessed this incident! I’m going to talk about this to the other ladies. How fun!” Yunifer took a deep breath and crooked her face.
“How dare you speak to me like that! Do you know who I am? I am the great Lady Faihannah of Remarque!” said Yunifer, imitating Faihannah. All the workers around us bursted into laughter.
“… Be careful. The great Lady of Remarque will sue you in court if she hears you,” I warned, wearing my serious expression. Yunifer bursted into laughter and the fun was interrupted by a cough.
“Ahem!”
Surprised, I turned around and Neelam’s face appeared before my eyes. Grinning, she said dignifiedly, “Lady Lisianthus, please take a look at these …”
The workers slowly pushed and brought clothes rails in front of us.
The view left me speechless along with Yunifer. She choked in astonishment as her jaw dropped. She hurriedly covered her mouth when I threw her a look.
I blinked. Thinking back, I had plenty of dresses, but they were all either colourful or childish. The colourful dresses with huge ribbons looked more like a doll’s clothes than proper dresses. I started to have cold sweat as I confronted my past preferences.
Honestly, why on earth did they make such dresses?
If the nobles did not ask to make them, then the designers had not sold them, then I would not be enchanted to buy those insignificant dresses. They were so childish that I was so ashamed of my past self.
But those unsightly things could not be compared to Neelam’s handiworks. They were so dazzling and mesmerizing that it was enough to blind people’s eyes and they might think they were for fairies.
“Milady, why don’t you try one of these?” asked Blaire brightly.
“I can’t wait to see Luna wearing this!”
“It’d do great on you, lady!” Neelam cheered.
At their words, I picked up a violet dress gown randomly and went to the dressing room. After a few minutes of struggling to wear the dress with the help of Blaire, (it was rather difficult since I needed to wear a corset and there were many layers that I got stuck into) I finally exited and walked over to the people.
“Oh my goodness … “ Neelam’s jaw dropped, her eyes widened.
“Luna, you look so stunningly beautiful!” Yunifer cheered with a broad grin on her face.
The waist part was not too tight compared to my expectation so it allowed me to breathe. While the dark coloured violet appeared to make my fair looks stand out. Overall, it was such an eye-catching dress which I was really satisfied with.
The other workers looked at me in amazement and awe, some of them threw me an envious look when I walked past them.
“Is this what your father, Duke Lisianthus had prepared? How beautiful !” Yunifer gasped and cried out in surprise. She touched the fabric carefully as though it would tear down at any moment. “Just look at this silk, it’s smooth and soft… this is the best from the Mandevilla Empire!”
“That’s right! That thing is very rare,” replied one of the workers.
“I have never even once worn any clothes made of Mandevilla’s silk!” Yunifer confessed heartilly.
“Indeed, it is. The duke personally asked me to make the dresses for his beloved daughter.” Neelam winked. “It took me years to make these, but I’m glad that the lady personally praised my works.”
I blushed, and turned my head away quickly from the smirking face of Neelam and Yunifer. My cheeks were burning as though they were on fire.
“… Yeah, my father really loves me. Why? Are you jealous?” I said sarcastically.
“Oho … looks like someone is blushing!”
“I’m not!” I denied.
Yunifer cupped her cheeks with her hands and said dreamily, “Oh, I’m so jealous … Me too … I also want a father’s love!”
“If you also desire this, you can ask your brother to make one for you. No need to compare me and yourself. Your family has more than enough to afford these kinds of dresses!”
Yunifer heaved a sigh and sulked. “You know my brother is not the same as my father, and besides he had already passed away …”
The atmosphere changed into gloomy and depressing in an instant.
Seeing this, I quickly apologized, “…I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.”
“Oh, don’t worry.” Yunifer repeatedly waved her hands and said, “I’m just joking! No need to be serious!”
Neelam said, “Even so, Lady Lunaria must be grateful to have a loving and caring father like the duke!”
I gritted my lips irritatingly and walked away. “Ugh! Whatever!”
Both Yunifer and Neelam cackled like a mad person.
I walked over to Blaire who was grinning and said, “Blaire, pack up all the clothes and let’s go to another store. I want to shop for accessories right now.”
“Yes, milady.”

“Say, Luna, what do you talk about with Neelam by the way?” Yunifer questioned curiously as she brought the opal bracelet closer to her golden eyes, examining it with one eye closed.
“I’m planning to screw over Faihannah and humiliate her in front of the ladies.” I sat down, crossing my legs as I looked at the catalog. Within it, there were various sketches of exquisite accessories designs.
Yunifer looked dumbfounded and gave me a concerned gaze. She confessed seriously, “You know what Faihannah is like, right? If she knows, she will totally kill you.”
I straightened my posture and stretched, speaking indifferently and shrugged. “Like I care.”
“No wonder I have a strange feeling that you have something else in your sleeves, so that’s why you are willingly giving away the dresses.” Yunifer pulled away the opal bracelet from her eyes and gently put it back in the red box.
I grinned. “She will know the dresses don’t belong to her though, maybe after a few days.”
“Just who are the ladies that ordered them?”
“Neelam told me it was Lady Priscilla, Lady Alvita, Marchioness Nevrakis and a few noble ladies, but I don’t remember their names.” I took a sip of my tea which had been prepared earlier by one of the workers.
Yunifer’s golden eyes grew wider in shock. “… What? Even the marchioness?”
I shrugged and replied, “Yeah.”
“She’s totally screwed. I repeat, she is totally screwed !” Yunifer cried, looking totally horrified by my statement.
Marchioness Nevrakis is the wife to the Imperial Knights’ Commander who served the imperial family for a long time. The marchioness was known for her cold and strict temperament that not many people dared to take her lightly. She is also skilled in swordsmanship and is the only woman in the empire to hold a sword gifted by the emperor himself.
Despite her cold temperament, she has a good reputation and is favoured by the current emperor since she had saved his life from danger before.
Not only that, she also is the emperor’s childhood friend and there were rumours she would be chosen as the empress after the current emperor ascended to the throne. The marchioness had done several incredible deeds before.
Thus, the emperor bestows her a ‘dame’ title for her past achievements. The title was given to any inspiring woman in the empire who had done great achievements in their field.
I scoffed. Shaking my head, I lightly said, “That’s what she gets if she’s too arrogant and greedy. We all know her personality, she won’t be satisfied if the things she can’t get are not in her palms.”
“She should know some things aren’t meant to be owned, just like the dresses.” Yunifer took a set of ornament accessories and put it aside, allowing her maids to place it on one side, as a mark to buy it later.
Faihannah had always been rash and impulsive when making important decisions. Since she was being heavily doted on and spoiled, she did not know how the world was supposed to work.
She was so arrogant and self-centred that she thought the world was beneath her and she was the queen, doing whatever she wanted without paying attention to the consequences.
As a result, this gave a chance to the preys on the outside to make use of her ignorant and naive mind to control her completely.
“Why don’t you tell me?”
I bit back my answer with a smile.
Yunifer had her arms folded and a satisfied expression on her face. “You should have told me earlier. I can lend you a hand and screw that woman in a friendly and gentle way.”
“I will tell you for sure next time, don’t worry.” I winked playfully. “For now, let’s just wait for the ladies to act on our behalf. This incident can be used against them and break their trustful friendships … a bit.”
“If that happens, they will no longer trust her and even try to stay away from her. It’s easy to apologize but it’s not easy to forget,” Yunifer nodded her head thoughtfully.
“Hopefully … ” I continued sipping my tea and gestured my hands when my cup was empty. Blaire, who was beside me, poured down another cup of tea.
“Hey, Luna! Look at these earrings, aren’t they cute?” Yunifer’s eyes glistened in excitement as she held a pair of elegant blue butterfly earrings close to my face. I pulled away my face to see clearly and reached them out.
“…Pretty,” I said in a daze, amazed by them.
“The worker said they will shine brightly in the dark!” She beamed.
I let out a chuckle at her adorableness. “I will buy them too … Pack this away, Blaire.”
Blaire took another box of the butterfly earrings and gave it to the owner, who took it to the counter.
“It would be cool if we wear this together!” Yunifer squealed.
I nodded and a smile crept on my face as we both laughed together.
