Gina Caesar.
A maid who had worked under me for years and one of the people I trust. She was the one who took care of me beside Blaire.
However, unlike Blaire who had no ulterior motives, this girl here is too ambitious that she won’t think twice to harm her own master if she wanted to gain something.
I always thought she was a warm-hearted person who will never betray me. But little did I know she was the reason of my family downfall!
It was shocking when I discovered the truth from her mouth. I never knew she was actually a spy sent by the 2nd Prince!
Fine then, since you’re the one who planted her here Rexiald, don’t blame me for getting rid of her.
“Guards, let her in.”
I gestured my hand as a signal to let her in. The guards’ face twisted. They were displeased and it was clearly written on their face.
Gina’s cheeks raised and the corner of her mouth slightly tugged upward, secretly happy over the fact she won the argument.
She walked proudly with her nostrils flared and rushed over to my side, pretending to be sympathy and care about me.
“Milady, I don’t know when you wake up. The time I got here, I heard news about milady’s awakening. Is milady alright?”
Her eyes welled up. She was fighting back with tears.
“It saddened my heart when I know milady got poisoned by someone. If milady is g-gone, I-I…hiks…hiks…”
Her eyes slowly flooded with tears and it ran down to her cheeks.
Wow. I was amazed by her amazing performance. It almost fool me. If it was in the past, I would easily trust her words. But ever since I know her true face, I was so mad that if I can rip her face here, then I’d do it for real.
My jaw tightened. I shut my eyes and bit my lower lip.
Calm down, Luna. I should not lose it here.
“Ugh, this vulgar bitch dare to sweet talk the lady. Now she finally show her face, huh?”
Blaire mumbled not knowing I heard everything clearly, rolling her eyes irritatingly.
“Milady, do you know that when I heard your news, I feel so delight because the lady I serve already wake up. However, it truly pains me when I’m the only one who didn’t get the chance to see you. Do you know how long I’m waiting for you ever since you fell into coma?”
Blaire felt so disgusted. Her forehead creased and her nose wrinkled. Her eyes widen and was about to laugh after hearing Gina’s pretentious words. At this point, she couldn’t hold back anymore.
“Enough, Gina! I couldn’t tolerate you any longer!”
Blaire headed to Gina and talked to her face-to-face. Gina who felt threatened by the sudden boldness coming from Blaire, shrinking back and cowering in fear.
“How could you be such a two-faced and a shameless person! Do you think I don’t know that all this time, you never do your duty on taking care of the lady?”
Gina’s face flushed.
“W-What are you talking about? Blaire, please don’t speak nonsense. You’re making me lose my face in front of the lady.”
Gina stuttered and secretly glanced at me. She was fidgeting.
Blaire’s face twisted and her hands on her waist. Her face hardened.
“Oh, now you want to deny the truth? It’s true that you have never perfectly done your work. Instead, you always lazying around and hand over almost the task to me! Were it not for me, the lady’s room now must be covered by a pile of dusk!”
“Hush, Blaire! That’s not true! Milady, look at this woman, she dare to slander me! How can I do that! Milady will always be my top prioritize!”
“Hah… Really, you are such a shameless woman!”
Blaire shook her head.
“Don’t even get me start about you stealing the lady’s precious jewelries.”
“!”
“Oh let me see, if my memory is correct, you have steal the lady’s nightingale twins earrings, don’t you?”
Blaire smirked.
“Shut up! I didn’t do that kind of thing!”
Gina snarled. She suddenly acted a bit aggressive. She gritted her teeth and her face went white.
“Milady trust me! I have never touch your thing!”
She pointed her finger to Blaire and yelled,
“You shouldn’t spout nonsense when you don’t have any evidence!”
“God, this bitch is really irritating!”
Blaire furiously stomped his feet on the ground. She was about to speak when I suddenly raised my hand.
“Gina, I know. You need not hide it anymore. The things you had done all this time had been reported to me by Blaire.”
Finally, I spoke.
“What? Then she could speak bad to me! Milady, you shouldn’t judge only on someone’s story!”
She denied from the slander. Her ponytail seemed to sway as she shook her head.
“Then, why don’t we search your body?” Cervantes suggested as he watched our argument. There seemed to an impatient tone in his words.
“!”
“That’s a good idea, Cervantes.”
I grinned and ordered Blaire to do a check up on Gina.
“Blaire, please check up on her body.”
“Gladly.”
She snickered.
“N-No… W-Wait!”
Gina shrieked as she struggled from Blaire’s rough checkup. Blaire who felt touching something hard under her sleeves, instantly ripped them off.
“Kyaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
“!”
Her arms were covered in gold! Rare jewelries such as light-green jade bracelets, diamond and gold rings, a pair of white bracelets handcrafted by Alvoria craftsmen, etc. There were also golden coins falling on the ground from her pocket.
“No! I-It’s over…”
Gina suddenly knelt on the ground with her hands both on her head. Her face reddened.
“Milady, please give me the chance to redeem myself! I did those dirty things to feed my family! Milady, you are a noble, so you don’t know the suffering about us commoners.”
Haa… Again with the family. She used this excused too in the past when she was caught stealing.
Oh, Gina, do you take me as a fool?
I know about your situation and as my maid, of course I need to know your background. And the result is that your family had died years ago leaving you alone.
I got this information from Cervantes when the day you work under me.
“I understand, Gina. It’s not your fault for stealing. You’re such a filial child to your family. So I’ll let you go. But don’t do it again.”
“Milady!”
Blaire shouted as she protest about my statement. She was unhappy when I decided to give her another chance.
Gina beamed.
“You must be thinking I’ll said this, right? But honestly Gina, you have already crossed the line which I can no longer tolerate anymore.”
“!”
I approached her slowly until our face was barely an inch and raised her chin up. I whispered these words to her.
“Gina, you fool. Do you take me as an idiot? I too have my own limits. Do you want to know something? That is the fact that I hate liar the most.”
Gina’s smile faded as soon as she heard this. She was trembling and her palm was sweaty.
“I’m a good person enough to forgive you. But that does not mean I’m stupid enough to trust you again!”
I pulled away my face in disgust.
“Haa… This is why I hate two faced-people. It makes it harder for me to decide which side to slap first.”
She lowered her head to avoid meeting my gaze. Her body was terribly shaking in fear.
“Hey, raise your head, so it’ll be easier for me to gouge your eyes.”
The eyes that full of greed who lost its sanity should be gouged so that she will learn her lesson.
There’s no way I will easily let you go in this life.
