- Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 - The Return Of My Dearest Childhood Friend
Landon kept a firm grip around my waist while I hugged and puffed. “Stop spouting nonsense. Why are you back?” He smiled and ruffled my hair. “You don’t remember. Your emergency contact is me. The hospital called and said that you got burnt.” Oh right… he replaced my parents as an emergency contact.
“I missed you a lot, Landon!” He smiled and gave me a hug, to Zack’s fury. “Oh right, Landon, meet Michael Jones, my boyfriend.” Immediately, Landon’s smile twitched a little. “Oh… I see. It’s a pleasure.”
Putting put his hand, Zack proceeded to tightly squeeze it while they shook hands. I smiled. “Landon was the only person who understands me!” He then ruffled my hair and cradled me a little. “And you are the cutest little thing ever! Now, Landon is going to get rid of this nasty boyfriend of yours, okay?”
“Wait, no! I don’t want you to joke around like that!” He then whimpered. “B-But… I thought that you wanted to marry me when you were older! You used to say it all of the time when we were kids.”
“But as a joke. Who cares about those promises anyway?” Zack then took hold of my hand and pulled me into bed with him. And then, he planted a huge passionate kiss onto my lips.
His tongue dove down my throat, making me unable to move. “Mmm…” I tried to speak but it was muffled out by the noises we made while kissing. Releasing me finally, Zack circled me with his arms and grinned.
“Well, thanks for your concern, but as you can see, she’s completely fine.” Immediately, I sensed a chill in the air. Both of them glared at each other like two beta males wanting the role of the alpha.
Then, Landon’s phone rang and he saw who it was. He smiled at me and said “Let’s have coffee sometime.” I smiled sweetly. “Okay! Have a good day.” He reluctantly left and once he did, Zack frowned and nipped at my earlobe.
“Marry? You said that you were going to marry him when you were older?” He made my chest burn while he nibbled at my sensitive ear. “Ahhh… it was just when I was little… it meant nothing.” He grinned. “It sure means something to me. That means he took away your first love. And that, I can’t abide.”
Hold on… “Are you jealous?” He immediately blushed and turned away. “I just can’t abide my property being second-hand is all.” I then slapped him across the face and got up, getting dressed again.
“W-Wait, Alice, I meant it as a joke!” I then turned around, tears nearly slipping down my cheeks. “I gave you my first time, my first kiss, and you still want more? There’s nothing I can do about that, Zack. I need to go on a walk.”
I then left the room, leaving him stranded there, confused. He meant it as a joke… so why did I take it so personally?
