I didn’t know what was the timing, I had not eaten anything from last night,
I woke up to my mobile ringtone. I hit the answer button without looking at the screen. I put the mobile at my ear, “hello kavya, what going on?”
“Grandma” I was feeling thirsty.
“Yeah kavya, what happened?”
“I want to come home.” My tears were rolling on my cheeks.
“Are you okay? Where is Karan?” She asked with concern.
“I am okay. Please I want to come home.” I managed to control myself.
“Okay, don’t worry. I will let the book your return ticket.”
“Thanks, grandma. See you later.” I cut the mobile. And put the mobile beside me. I was the glaring ceiling. I laid there for some minute. I managed to stand up and come near the bed. I lay on the bed and closed my eyes. I slept within some minutes.
I woke up that time with sounding the door. I took a deep breath and sat up. Now, I was feeling relaxed. I stretched my body. I heard again door-knocking voice. I got up and opened the door. It was Shifali.
I looked at her. She was looking tense.
“What Happened?” I asked.
She looked at my head to toe, “may I come?”
I gave her space to come inside. I closed the door behind me. She checked my room. Medicine and kinds of stuff were on the floor. I sat immediately and tried to clear everything.
“What happened kavya?” She asked with concern.
“Nothing.” I asked her, “why are you here?”
“I will tell you later. But first, tell me what is going here? When you come into the room in the morning, I have doubt something was wrong with you. And now, your room is as it as some storm came here. You are in your last night’s cloth. You slept the whole day and you are saying you are tired. So tell me first.”
I chewed my lips, “actually, it’s nothing what are you thinking. I am not in the mood to give you an answer. So tell me why are you here or you can leave my room.” I know it’s sounds bitchy. But she was not my friend that I told her everything about.
She looked at me for some minutes. After that, she took a deep breath, “did both of you do fight?”
“A sort of,” I told her.
“Really a sort of?” She asked with raising her eyebrows.
“Actually, I said him to tell you to stop taking interest in my love life and he blackmailed me to tell my brother about my friend and I blackmailed him to tell Grandma about both of you.”
“Do you know how much he is sensitive to his grandmother? You should not have said it.” She told me raising her voice.
“I am also sensitive for my friends,” I told her with crossing my hands in front of my chest.
“By the way, he has no intention to tell your brother anything. So please don’t tell his grandmother anything.” I nodded because I also had no intention.
“What did you tell his grandmother? Because she wants us to go back.” As she said those words. I recalled a phone call which I attended before some hours.
I rubbed my forehead with my fingers. “I am sorry. I only say to her that I want to go back.”
“Hmm, Karan is worried because he got the call from his grandmother. We are going tomorrow that’s why to pack your things.”
I nodded. She asked, “may I ask something personal?”
I nodded and she continued, “did you have a panic attack?” I looked at her with horror at how she knew about it.
“No actually…”
“Kavya, I am a psychiatrist that’s why I know everything.”
“No, why did I have?” I fakely laughed. “Actually, I have allergies to flowers. When I was coming into the room, a staff member bumped with me who has flowers that’s why it reacted. Now I am fine.”
“Ok, whenever you need me, I am here. Don’t take it personally. But professionally, maybe I can help you.” She told me formally.
“Ok, I remind it.”
She left and I took a relaxed breath. I closed my door and lay on my bed
