The moment he jumped, his mind went blank. He’s done it pretty much unconsciously. He wanted to at least try to think about something, but he couldn’t, he had no time.
In the meantime, back in the Dojo, another three or four kids woke up to the noise, as the anti-sound spell wasn’t covering the building entirely, which was also the reason Ichiro woke up. Everyone who woke up tried to look outside through the window, but they were all in the back of the building, the opposite side from the one which Ichiro and the others were, so they couldn’t see a thing.
While he was flying to the enemies, Ichiro came with an idea mid-air. In hopes nobody saw him, he used a small spell which created a wind wall in front of him, which he used to boost himself back into the bushes. Luckily, nobody actually saw him, though two of them started to look around.
Ichiro’s plan wasn’t that heroic, he was actually planning to rely on others this time. The problem was that his plan had a lot of holes and his time was very limited, but that was the best thing he could come up with.
He closed his eyes and concentrated. After a few seconds, he could perfectly visualize the anti-sound spell. Ichiro used a sub-spell Sensei told him about, Aura Vision. It basically does what it’s name says. You close your eyes, concentrate your Energy flow towards your eyes, then you open them and you can see all the big spells around you. It doesn’t work for small ones though.
While he used his Vision, he started getting another spell ready. It was a weird one, one he had since he was about four years old. He had a spell-canceling spell. It’s a weird name for a spell, but it’s one of the only spells he was actually very confident in. He used it daily even without coming to the Dojo, so he was confident he had both the time and power to cancel the anti-sound.
About two minutes ready, and his spell was ready to launch. Rapidly, but yet assuring himself nobody was watching, he launched the spell towards the Dojo. The thin, black, sound-blocking barrier vanished in a matter of seconds. While Ichiro was already set to run off, none of the enemies noticed the spell missing. The boy decided to wait in the bushes for the time being, as there were thin chances that no one would wake up.
About five minutes or even less passed, when a girl stepped out of the building. Before anything, he could sense one big emotion that the girl was emitting, pure fury. In a few moments, he almost laughed at what his enemies were about to experience. The girl who exited the Dojo was the perfect fit for solving the problem quickly and efficiently, Hikari. Another five or six kids walked out, but they got the idea quickly and stood back.
Hikari was walking at the foes, as they were readying their spells. ‘As if I’m letting you have all the fun’. Ichiro concentrated a small anti-spell and launched it to the enemy. Their spells were canceled as they started looking around and cussing.
…’Not a very good idea coming here so unprepared, though you probably had some kind of spell activated. Otherwise, I can’t explain how you caused so much destruction without anyone waking up…. or… at least you thought no one would’, Hikari said….
Ichiro knew her look, and almost pitied the poor kids for their unlucky encounter. Hikari’s right hand burst with flames, as her left one concentrated a very dense and powerful lighting spell. What happened next is hard to describe, but Ichiro thought hard about how it was possible that someone would defeat Hikari, she seemed invincible to him.
After she finished her job and everyone went back in, Ichiro was still waiting, just in case some hid or decided to come back for some more, but so did Hikari. A few minutes later, Hikari looked straight at his bush.
…’I dunno who you are, but you’ve been hiding there for a while. Either you’re getting out, or I’m getting you out’, she said….
As much as his gut feeling told him to cut off his ‘experiments’, Ichiro remained hidden. It took one blink for him to see Hikari a few inches from him. He instantly used the anti-spell and dodged her, though she managed to scar his shoulder a tiny bit.
…’Dude, you think you’re funny in any way? You’re lucky you can use that spell-canceling thing, otherwise you’d be at least unconscious. And…I still did some damage. Why were you hiding here? I noticed your Aura since I first got outside’, she asked….
…’Well, my area wasn’t covered by their anti-sound, so I heard everything from the start and came here. I canceled their anti-sound and, well, after you finished them up, I wanted to stay here to see if more of them were to come’…
…’Okay, I get that. But that’s not what I mean. I warned you to show yourself, you know? We could’ve avoided this’…
She looked almost sad, which didn’t make Ichiro feel any better.
…’Look, I’m sorry, okay? I just knew that there was no way you could hurt yourself, so I decided to test my reaction a bit, to see if I can dodge you’, he explained….
…’*sigh* It’s not the right time for practice, and not in a situation where I wanted to immobilize you. Get back in, you still need sleep’…
…’So do you’, he mumbled….
…’Oh shut it’…
They both walked in, and, to their surprise, it was quiet inside, almost no one was awake. It relieved Ichiro, but it worried him as well.
