…’What was that?’…
Ichiro was breathing heavily while covering his right eye. Blood was flowing from his eye instead of tears. He looked at the cage in which the girl was in and rushed to her. She was breathing, but unconscious.
Hikari helped him heal a bit and then, they just left. Ichiro was carrying the girl while Hikari was providing both of them with Energy. They didn’t have the stamina to talk about whatever happened with Ichiro’s eye, but it was pressuring both of them.
Once they arrived back to the Dojo, they explained the situation to Wu and locked the girl up until she regained consciousness.
Ichiro and Hikari went to their room and sat on their beds. Hikari looked at him, trying to explain to her own self what happened.
…’Hey, uh, I’ve been meaning to ask. What’s your relationship with Kei?’, asked Hikari….
…Ichiro hesitated. ‘I’m very positive that she’s my little sister. 12 years ago, we both were abandoned in different places. Her name and her looks are matching the info perfectly.’…
…’Okay, I understand. We’ll talk to the docs so they extract some blood from you two and see if the samples match’…
A few minutes of talks about Kei later, they fell asleep.
Ichiro woke up first, and he found out about some concerning news right the moment he went to the main hall. Kei escaped. She destroyed the cage she was in and ran away. He was told that she was outside, by the lake. The problem was that she wouldn’t listen to anyone. Ichiro walked out of the building and it was exactly like they said. She was there, by the lake. He tried approaching her, but a wave of fire was blocking the way.
…’Don’t come any closer. I’m not letting y’all control me for whatever reason’, she said….
Ichiro didn’t say anything. He took a step forward, right in the fire. Then, he continued walking.
…Kei turned to him and stood up. ‘ARE YOU CRAZY?! WHO A-‘…
She stopped talking. Kei looked at him, without taking her eyes off him. She canceled the spell, as well.
…’You… you… you are…’. She was trembling and her eyes were watery….
Ichiro approached her and hugged her. He felt her shaking in his arms. ‘What happened to her?’, he thought.
After they both calmed down a tiny bit, they started a more serious talk.
…’Look, I have some info. Those guys were keeping me sealed because of my power, they think it’s still unstable, though I learned to control it. Now, what I NEED to tell you and I want you to tell the others is that they plan on starting a war. And well, they are starting with your Dojo, but I don’t know what they’re going to use, because they aren’t going to do it personally. Now, they have an ace up their sleeve and that is Darkness Aura. Most of them can use it. I could barely defeat one of them and well I can use four whole Auras. It’s not going to be easy to fight them, though, from what I saw, that Hikari is really capable, maybe even stronger than me. But anyway, this is not gonna go well, especially if you don’t get more people who can use at least three Auras.’…
Ichiro was shocked. It was way too much to take in. And also, his sister could use FOUR Elements?! And she was comparing herself to Hikari so comfortably.
…’Anyway, you all need a bit of training, including me. This is war, we’re not playing around’, said Kei….
At night, after they finished some talks with Wu, everyone’s training plan was updated to something more consistent and efficient. Kei was placed in the guest room, as well.
Ichiro was feeling a bit down. He saw how strong both Hikari and Kei were and the fact that the enemy could use Darkness? It was ridiculous to him.
…Hikari noticed him and sat on the bed next to him. ‘What happened? You don’t look okay at all.’…
…Ichiro sighed and lifted up his head. ‘Well, I guess I’m just pitying my own weakness at this point. I am literally a weakling, whatever you all say. Kei is ten times stronger than me, at least. You as well. And considering what we’re facing in this war, I’m just going to be another worthless sacrifice’…
…Hikari looked at him, almost angry. ‘Hm, you’re so wrong about that. First, we worked hard to get this strong. Yes, we had some genes and luck but, mostly, it’s work. And second, you have a lot of powers to your disposal. Especially your eye. I don’t know what you did, but that thing is going to change our whole fate if you master it. And finally, I am going to train you. I know pretty much all about your abilities from the past practices, so, as usual, I’ll be waiting for you downstairs. You got five minutes’…
