Jungkook sighed looking at the mirror. The bathroom echoes his deep breaths. The thing which is bothering Jungkook is the word pregnant. Because all this time they never talked about having another member playing in their home. They just concentrated on themselves like him and Jimin. Spending time with others, taking care of each other, loving one another. The circle of love was only between them.
The thought of possibilities somehow made Jungkook nervous. Not, because he doesn’t believe Jimin to be a good father. He will be an amazing dad too and there’s no doubt in that. Still, Jungkook is worried about himself being pregnant. How will he handle it?
The thought of retaining a child within him happy. It’s like, the child will be a living symbol of their love. He smiled imagining a cute baby blabbering in their own language as Jimin feeds the child, Jungkook looking at the two precious being in his life with a warm soft smile.
The silence around him reminds him of the incident yet again. He shuts his eyes tightly.
…—flashback—…
“Are you pregnant, dear?”
“N-no, mom.” Jungkook’s cheeks turned redder. He glanced around nervously, not understanding how to handle the situation.
“Oh, I’m sorry, dear. I just thought so I said.” She smiled, “No need to apologize.” Jungkook spoke and shook his head when she said sorry.
“I’m pretty straightforward.” She chuckled as Mr.Park stood next to her. Jungkook nods timidly with an awkward laugh.
Jungkook bowed to Mr.Park, bowed back slightly. “How are you? Did you guys enjoy the stay in Switzerland?” Mr.Park asked and Jimin stood next to Jungkook on right time.
“Yes, it was awesome!” Jungkook replied looking at Jimin. “Let’s go inside. It’s getting cold now.” Mr.Park gestured for them to follow as Mrs.Park follows her husband while smiling at her sons.
Jungkook held Jimin’s hand, interlacing their fingers together. Jimin noticed Jungkook’s mood. “You ok?” Jimin whispered squeezing Jungkook’s hand softly. Jungkook nods his head looking down. Jimin blinks not understanding anything.
“Anything bothering you?” Jimin asked again while stopping his steps. Jungkook bites his lips and shook his head. “Nothing. Everything is fine.”
“Pearl, I’m your hubby.” Jimin pressed a soft kiss on his temple. “You can tell me anything.” Jimin pushed Jungkook’s bangs behind his ears. “I’m always there for you.” Jungkook smiled nodding his head.
The situation after that went on with silent Jungkook talking only when asked. Jimin glanced at him with worried eyes. Jungkook was trying his best not to show his thoughts on his face. However, if someone knows you very well, they can see through your fake smile too.
“Alright, take care.” The older couple smiled as the younger ones bowed their head taking the leave.
…—end of flashback—…
Jungkook walks out wiping his hair. Jimin was reading a book while leaning on the header board, with crossed feet and one hand behind his head, reading the content with furrowed eyebrows. The sound of the door being opened caught Jimin’s attention.
“Pearl?” Jungkook hums as he wipes his wet feet on the mat.
“What happened?” Jimin asked keeping the book aside. He is worried. Jungkook has been very quiet for his liking. The replies are either a word or a hum.
“Nothing,” Jungkook replied drying his hair. Jimin sighed standing from the bed and walking towards the dressing table.
“You can tell me if anything is bothering you. I’ll listen and—”
“Stop it! Can you not understand when I say it’s nothing meaning nothing.” Jungkook threw his comb on the floor.
“Just because I married you, doesn’t mean I sold my personal space to you.” Jungkook grits his teeth without looking up. If only he would have seen.
Jimin looked shocked at the sudden outburst. But, when he heard the last sentence, he felt a sudden clench on his heart after a very long time. His intention was not to make Jungkook feel like that. He never thought of owning Jungkook, at least not the way he is thinking. He quickly turns around not to meet Jungkook’s eyes. His hands hastily, pulling some files from the table as he blinks his eyes taking a deep breath.
“I-I…” Jimin felt his throat clogging as he didn’t dare to turn around and meet the angry, most probably disappointed eyes. He never thought he will face this type of situation where he can not meet Jungkook’s eyes.
Is he that bad? Did he make Jungkook uncomfortable? Maybe he truly did cross the line today.
“I’ll be in office.” By saying this Jimin quickly walked out of the room, without looking at Jungkook.
There is pin-drop silence in the room. Jungkook looks at himself with a blank expression in the mirror.
“What have I done! Why did I say that?” Jungkook’s lips wobbled as he stood up from the chair and walked towards the balcony. He threw open the sliding door and stepped out, not caring about cold weather nor his feet touching the freezing floor, not even his thin yellow shirt is helping him in the cold.
“He must be heartbroken.” He lets his tears fall from his eyes as he held the railing and his eyes fall on the ring, the ring made by Jimin, which they wore today. “I’m truly cruel. I hurt such an angel.” He breaths out trying to calm himself.
He wipes his tears, “I should apologize immediately.” He mumbles clearing the traces of tears from his eyes.
He inhales deeply looking at the sky in a trance for a few minutes. Until he felt a shawl over his shoulders. Jungkook glanced over his shoulder watching Jimin wrapping him carefully with the stole.
“I-I just came to take my phone.” Jimin quickly explained as Jungkook pressed his lips. “I saw you…so,” Jimin took a step back. “I’m going.” Jimin turns around to leave the said male with his personal space.
“Hubby…” The soft voice restraint Jimin to move further. “Hubby,” The vulnerable voice calling again made Jimin inhale and shut his eyes tightly. “My dear hubby.” Finally, he felt arms wrapped tightly over his waist and head resting on his shoulder.
“I’m…I’m,” Jungkook bites his lips. “I’m so sorry.” He clutches Jimin’s shirt as the said male didn’t say anything. “I’m very sorry.” Jungkook’s tears glide over his nose bridge, soaking on Jimin’s Tee. “I ne-never wished to say anything like that.” Jungkook hugs Jimin tightly as the shawl hangs around his elbows.
“I’m sorry, hubby. Please forgive me. I’ll never repeat it.” Jimin sighed softly holding Jungkook’s left wrist and swiftly turns Jungkook to face him, bringing him back in his embrace.
“It’s ok,” Jimin whispered caressing his hair. “You said, what you felt.” He continued to run his hand on the spine. However, Jungkook quickly shook his head, looking at Jimin with wide eyes.
“I’ll be careful next time,” Jimin spoke pressing a soft kiss on the tear. “I won’t cross my limits.” Jimin gave an understanding smile as he caressed Jungkook’s cheek.
“Don’t think like that. My bad mouth spoke without thinking.” Jungkook denied shaking his head. “I have hurt you and also,” Jungkook looks at Jimin’s eyes then back to Jimin’s chest. “This beautiful heart which always loves me abundantly.” Jungkook kissed the region caressing the left chest.
“I was not thinking properly. Everything was messing with my head. I couldn’t understand what is right and wrong. In turn, I threw my temper on you.” Jungkook explained biting his lips feeling ashamed to look back in Jimin’s eyes.
“It’s alright. You don’t show anger on strangers. You show anger on the person you trust. You know they’ll understand and forgive you.” Jimin said holding his chin to meet his eyes.
“How can you be so positive a person, seeing brighter side in everything?” Jungkook asked in disbelief. He knows Jimin is a positive person. Jimin just smiled shrugging his shoulders.
“I will be honest, If I was in your place, I would have thrown few words back. But…” Jungkook spoke honesty knowing that he would have surely thrown a few words back.
“But, you didn’t say anything rather walked away to give me the so-called space my mouth spouted.” Jungkook hugs Jimin tightly again as he whispered his thoughts carefully.
“These few minutes when you were away. I felt so lonely and as if I lost the meaning of life, love.” Jungkook snuggled closer feeling Jimin’s warmth making him giddy from inside.
“Same here, Pearl. When I was in the cabin and as my eyes fell on your portrait, I felt my heart tightening as if it was being squeezed tightly and I’m not able to free it.” Jimin squeezed Jungkook’s hand lightly which was resting on his chest.
“The feeling was suffocating knowing you are upset with me and I didn’t know any better way to calm you. I was truly worried about you, Pearl.” Jimin joins their foreheads together. “I have noticed you being so quiet which you were not when we were in the car going to our parent’s house. I just wanted to know what’s going on.”
“I was just tensed about the meeting and my mind was thinking about it. I don’t want to have a bad impression on mom and dad.” Jungkook replied with a pout hugging Jimin with closed eyes.
Jimin sighed, with a hum.
>>You thought I’ll buy it. I know it’s a lie. But, I will not force you.
“Ok, that’s understandable. Because even I was nervous during our wedding time.” Jimin jokes wrapping the shawl again.
“Remember, I choked on sweets,” Jimin asked as Jungkook laughs recalling the event. “My God! It was so embarrassing.” Jimin shakes his head with a chuckle.
“Because I said yes for the date, right?” Jungkook asked as he continues to giggle as Jimin nods his head. “I swear I had written what I would reply on what type of questions.” Jimin held Jungkook’s waist pulling him up as Jungkook wraps his left leg on Jimin’s torso, hugging his shoulders.
“However, I forgot everything.” Jimin sighed as he recalls, although smiled hearing the heartfelt laugh of his pearl.
“Good thing you forgot,” Jungkook replied as Jimin furrowed his eyebrows as he walked inside. “Otherwise, anyone would understand that you might have memorized everything.” Jungkook continued explaining.
“Maybe my parents would have not agreed to our marriage?” Jungkook thought about it.
What would have happened if they didn’t get married?
“I would have done everything to convince them, to hand this hubby his Pearl,” Jimin replied placing Jungkook on the bed as he walked around the room, shutting the sliding door, closing the curtains, dimming the lights.
“Really?” Jungkook asked watching Jimin doing everything. “Yeah, or else I would have to live in a daze. Because you stole my heart at first sight.”
“You too, on our first meeting with your gentleman manners.” Jimin smiled walking back to the bed.
“I’m grateful to mom and dad because they taught you such great manners.” Jungkook nods his head as Jimin slides next to Jungkook, draping the duvet over them.
“Also, how are you this romantic? Did you watch movies?” Jungkook asked with narrowed eyes as Jimin pushed him to lie down.
“And, can we watch a movie this weekend?” Jungkook asked again feeling Jimin wrapping his arms around him.
“Ok, ok, as you say,” Jimin replied pulling the male closer.
“Also, lots of snacks, like chocolate, popcorn, chips, milkshakes.” Jungkook started counting.
“And, humpph—” Jimin shuts the talkative lips.
…💮🌸💮…
Taehyung yawns stretching his limbs. He looks around while chewing nothing. He started fixing the bed and his eyes fall on the man sleeping on the davenport. He was sleeping on his stomach as his hand dangled in the air and the duvet is on the floor.
“Uh…I will be in the other room.” Hoseok spoke awkwardly scratching his neck.
It was their first night after the wedding and the awkwardness was in the air. None of them know what to say or how to understand. One was feeling shy to even whisper another one was turning red with embarrassment.
Hoseok took the silence as yes and turns his heels to walk away. “I can’t sleep alone…” Taehyung whispered.
It’s not like he never slept alone, it’s because of the new environment and new place and it’s kinda making him feel as if a foreigner.
“Oh…uh…” Hoseok looks around awkwardly. “I’ll sleep on the couch then?” Taehyung didn’t say anything.
“I’ll get the blanket and pillow.” Hoseok smiled walking towards the cabinet.
Taehyung smiled softly walking with delicate steps towards the bathroom, knowing that the male sleeping right now has sensitive sleep.
However, stops his feet and walks back to Hoseok, lifts the duvet from the floor, and gently drapes the man tucking all the sides so no coolness could reach inside.
