“Can I do that here? Amelia asked to confirm, there were no coins in the fountain and they weren’t supposed to throw the coins in the fountain as it was against the rules.
Instead of replying to her question, Adrian took a few coins from his pocket to give her since she didn’t carry her purse. Amelia was very much delighted to see him give her coins. With a bright smile on her face, she took them from his hand and then moved to a certain distance away from the fountain. She knew it wasn’t a wishing fountain but it was something she always wanted to do for fun.
Amelia decided to toss the coin on tip of the fountain from where the water was flowing out through a pipe. She took a coin in her right palm to toss it into the fountain, aiming to the peak. The moment she tried to raise her arm, she felt immense pain on the back of her shoulder.
“Ouch!” she exclaimed and tried to suppress the pain by massaging her shoulder which only gave her more pain.
“Are you Alright?” asked Adrian in concern, who came near the fountain; ignoring that the water was being sprinkled on him. He saw her nod but her expression told otherwise.
Amelia felt his palm touch the back of her hand. The tingles in her stomach right now was something she wanted to ignore. With one quick go, the coin fell on the tip of the fountain and there was no pain this time when she tried to toss it because Adrian supported her hand with his. The moment the coin was tossed, Adrian’s attention shifted back to her wrist where the bruise was seen. He traced her wrist with this thumb, “does it pain?” he asked her staring into her eyes, Amelia shook her head slowly in response when he pressed a little, she flinched because of the pain.
“We shall leave now,” he stated when he understood that her hand was in pain, she should apply some medicine to suppress the pain or else it may not reduce. He didn’t expect that they would spend the entire night on the road if only he asked her before in hand, he would’ve taken her to a hospital. Not that they couldn’t go now, to visit the hospital they needed car which was parked on the other end.
“Are you planning to take me to that place again?” Amelia huffed placing her hands across her chest. The car was parked at Jonathan’s place and Amelia had no intention into return to that place.
“Are you planning to stay here all night?” he saw her shook her head and a smirk replaced her pursed lips. Adrian had a gut feeling it was going to be something stupid.
“We will go by bus,” her smirk winded.
“Tell me it is a joke.”
“How could you even take it as a joke when I’m being serious.” There was no way he was going by bus. Amelia and Adrian had a glaring eye contest until Adrian gave up.

“Isn’t this amazing? There are hardly ten members in the bus,” Amelia had a bright smile on her face while on the other hand, Adrian had a sullen look.
“If it was crowded, I would have never agreed to travel.” He scowled.
“I wouldn’t too but I think it’s fun to travel in buses, what do you think, Mr. Schneider?” she looked out of the window enjoying the cold breeze.
‘Only if you don’t travel everyday’ he thought in his mind, looking at the girl who was living in the moment.
“I presume Ms. Santiago doesn’t travel in buses frequently,” Adrian addressed her formally. He understood that the girl was restricted from doing many things. There was no need to ask her after what she had confessed when they were near fountain.
“I did a few times when I was working here. After I resigned, I never had a chance to travel in London.” she narrated, recalling the events that happened in her life a few months ago.
“When was the last time you travelled in bus, Mr. Schneider?” curiously, she looked at him.
His lips curled up in a way that it would be difficult for a person to tell if he was smiling but he did. “You must consider yourself lucky,” Amelia took a second to understand what he mean, he never travelled in a bus. It was quite surprising for her that he never tried to experience life around him and here she thought she was the only one who wasn’t living a normal life.
“How could you not even try for once in your life!” she exclaimed as if he wasted his life.
“I did now, didn’t I?” he raised his eyebrow to see her give a quick reply. “Yes, you did but you agreed half-heartedly,” Amelia giggled. It was true that Adrian had second thoughts before agreeing to her but now that he was in the bus sitting beside her, he didn’t regret one bit.
They sat in silence, Amelia was enjoying the night life of London, a life she never experienced when she was living here. Even though there were time she travelled during night times, this experience was different for various obvious reasons.
“I wish this night never comes to end. I just wish…” Amelia’s words trailed away when she felt a weight on her left shoulder. Her breathing became abnormal when she felt Adrian’s head on her shoulder and his silky hair feathering her cheeck.
“Mr. Schneider?” his name came out in whisper when she called him but the man didn’t move even after calling him thrice. Amelia noticed that his head was rested on her uncomfortably. Now that she was sure he was asleep, she adjusted herself so that he could sleep comfortably. Amelia was not sure if the wish comes true when a coin is tossed into the fountain, neither they were in italy nor it was a Trevi fountain but she only wished this moment to last long.
Adrian who rested on her shoulder, had a smile on his lips which the girl failed to notice.
