Amelia’s hands remained on his chest, her fingers shivered a little above his masculine body. The pumping of the blood in her heart had now increased ten fold times in his warmth. He clasped her waist firmly yet gently. It was as if a magnetic pull that was making him drawn towards her. He thought he would wait and wouldn’t rush but it was difficult for him when she was inches away from him. He was being patient with her all this time to pick the hints he was leaving for her to piece them together but she was being oblivious to any of his acts. If he let her take her time, it would take an eternity and he was not that patient. Being a kind man as he was, he wanted to help her to understand things she was not able to grasp but it only made him yearn to touch her more.
“This is what you do to this narcissist,” his velvet voice was magical and his words went right through her chest. She shut her eyes in embarrassment when he repeated the word she had used for the last letter in his name.
She fitted in his arm so beautifully and he didn’t want to leave her, not now or ever. Every little thing about her was exquisite. Creating a little space between them, he gripped her chin to make her look at him. The way she batted her eye lids and the small sigh that eluded from her lips when he pulled her close to him. The pattern of her breathe against his chest ignited fire deep within the recesses of his soul. Unable to resist anymore, he inched his face closer to her to press his lips on her but the very next moment, they were interrupted by a call.
A frustrated sigh escaped from his lips and reluctantly, he left her from his grip to reach his phone. “What is it, Trevor?” asked Adrian, annoyed. “Alright! I understood.” He ended the call before Trevor could speak something to him.
Why did his good for nothing cousin had to call him only now!
“Stop staring at me,” she mumbled, looking away from him after feeling his burning gaze upon her. It was too difficult to process something when he was looking at her this way.
She heard a soft chuckle that came from him and the next moment she gasped when his knuckles traced her cheeks. “As much I wish to spend more time with you I cannot right now but next time, I promise to continue where we have stopped.” His voice was playfully seductive making her breathe hitch in her throat.

“What is it that is making you smile?” she heard a voice.
Amelia lifted her head to see Skylar who sat opposite to her on the dinning table. It was around thirty past ten, the two young girls were having their dinner. Skylar was talking something to Amelia who was not only lost in her own world but was also smiling.
“Um…nothing. I just recalled a funny incident,” Amelia lied as she took a spoonful of her food into her mouth.
“Did you listen to what I said?” asked Skylar in nonchalance and when Amelia looked at her with a blank expression, she repeated. “I.. I am going to a party tomorrow.”
“Party? What party!” said Amelia and focused on what Skylar had said.
“A business party, I suppose?” Skylar was not sure because Trevor didn’t inform her anything in detail.
“I wonder how do you even manage to attend parties with Trevor. The business parties are so boring,” Amelia hated parties, especially business parties where people would only come to show off their status.
“Mr. Wolfrick hates those parties too, he asked me to come with him so that he wouldn’t be bored,” Skylar replied with a chuckle.
“Looks Like your boss loves your company,” Amelia commented to see Skylar pause for a moment. “I don’t think so.” Skylar mumbled before drinking a glass of water.

The next day, Amelia went to the mansion and came to know that Adrian had to attend a meeting. After completing her work by noon, she had lunch with Josephine before going to the construction site. She was supposed to make a visit two days ago but because of the things that had happened in the past two days, she had to delay her visit.
The time she reached the site was when the last sun rays of the day light touched the land. When Amelia visited with Adrian many days ago, the floor was not polished in the way it was now. The rough surface was now smooth and she could walk comfortably with her heels. Few workers who had seen her walking into the resort, paused whatever they were doing to look at the young girl who looked beautiful. Then there was a man named Leonard Griffin who wanted to take Amelia for a lunch. After receiving the death glares from Adrian on the day when she came to take her car keys, the man never dared of calling her again.
“How have been, Ms. Santiago,” greeted the man named Leonard Griffin with a warm smile. If Adrian was around her, the man wouldn’t have dared to greet her, it was good that his Adrian was not around, thought Leonard.
“I am good. How have you been?” she asked politely as he guided the way. The conversation was mostly about the construction because Amelia didn’t let Leonard bring out any topic which was not relate to work. If it wasn’t for Cain who wanted her to visit the resort today, she wouldn’t have come alone. The stares she was receiving from the men who were working, was uncomfortable and it would be better if she left as soon as possible.
“Where are the documents?” asked Amelia to which Leonard asked her to wait until he brings the file.
Instead of waiting for the man, Amelia made her way into the building. When she reached the top floor, Amelia caught the sight of the glass bridge which was still under construction but it would look beautiful once it was completed, she thought to herself. It is important for a business man to have a foresight of planning a profitable strategy and Adrian was very good at it. His business foresight was extraordinary. The resort would become one of the famous resorts in the near future.
It was a beautiful sight to see where it looked as if the mountains touched the sky. She didn’t know for how long she had been standing there, lost in time and the beautiful scenery.
When Amelia heard the sound of foot steps, she turned to see the person who stood behind her.
“What are you doing here?” she asked in shock.
