When I fell asleep, I had a nightmare. I dreamed that Tobias had discovered the whole truth about his family’s deaths. He came at me with all his strength and was trying to hang me with his own hands. I couldn’t let go of him and I also couldn’t use my powers.
I woke up panting, sweating a lot. I got up from the chair where I had fallen asleep and went to the bathroom to wash my face. When I returned to the office, I saw that on my cell phone I had a message from Tobias:
“- Victoria’s burial will be tomorrow at eight in the morning. Be here before that.”
– Oh damn! In addition to finishing looking carefully at all these documents\, preparing a suitcase to go to my uncle’s house\, I still have to get ready for a funeral. How wonderful! – I said to myself in a tone of irony.
Luckily for me, I was pretty much ahead in those documents. The ones I had seen so far, really had nothing wrong. So I found one that showed all the capital of the Kingdom group.
– Impossible. – I said surprised.
The document showed that the group had so much money that they would be able to afford the hotel expenses my uncle had opened during the time I was away. I did the math several times to see if what was in the document was a value that really he could support all the hotels. And the accounts always gave the result that was more than enough. How could he possibly have bankrupted the group?
Then I remembered.
– Mansion\, luxury cars\, expensive brand clothes and everything he had of riches that he lavishes inside his mansion. – I whispered.
He was able to take all the investment capital that the group had, just to satisfy his lust. Worst of all, I had no way of proving all this and how to face it to demand that he return everything.
As the daughter of the eldest son of the founder of the Kingdom group, I am the first heir. Everything should be mine.
– I don’t do it out of ambition. I do it for justice. For revenge. – I said to myself dying of anger.
My uncle took all the money from the family group. But he was not stupid to leave that money in an account with his name at the city bank. He must have created accounts with his family members, but that only he had access to. to them.
I spent the rest of the night studying all the documents. After that nightmare, I didn’t have any more sleep. After finishing looking at all the missing documents, I realized that it was already dawn. But I still had two hours until the I went to have breakfast. I prepared some toast with a little butter and a little hot milk. It was what I most liked to eat for breakfast as a child. When I finished, I went straight to look for my mother’s black dress. that fit me so I could go to the cemetery and found it. It was exactly what I was looking for. A black dress, without sleeves, without a neckline that went to my knee. I took a black heel and a small black bag that had been mine. mother too.Now who would use all the things that were hers, it would be me.
– I’m glad I sent everything to the laundry. – I said to myself laughing.
I took a very relaxing bath. But as I took it, I remembered the nightmare I had with Tobias.
When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw that my eyes were still blue and my hair was white. Apart from that, there were no traces of my powers. So I had a thought about what I wanted to happen and I was amazed to see once again the extent of the my powers that seemed to have no limits.
My right arm had become an ice sheet.
– It’s beautiful. – I said surprised and delighted.
I put the thought in my mind that I wanted him in his normal form and instantly he came back.
I spent a few seconds staring at my own arm until I remembered what I had to do.
– The funeral. – I said while rolling my eyes.
I got ready quickly and left the house to go to my uncle’s house. It was still early, there were almost no people on the streets.
When I got there, I went in without telling anyone. I climbed the stairs and realized that my uncle was having a very serious conversation with Tobias. I took advantage of the fact that the door was not fully closed and I heard all the conversation in the corridor that gave access to the office. to your office.
My uncle was up to something.
