We had so much fun at the mall, we ended up losing track of time and when we decided to go home, it was past dinner time.
I was really happy that my day was so wonderful. We went to the parking lot and got in the car. As I left the mall, Tobias decided to ask me a question that I knew that sooner or later I would have to answer:
– Diana\, why did you run away when your parents were killed? Why didn’t you come to us? We could have taken care of you.
These questions made me a little nervous and I didn’t want to answer them. I took a deep breath and looking at the car window I replied:
– I was very horrified by the fact that I saw my father being killed in front of me. I didn’t know how far that stranger would follow me to end his service. So I decided that the best thing was to run away. you\, maybe put you at risk too. And then yes\, I would be completely alone in the world.
When I finished speaking, I gave him a deep look of sadness and then I continued looking at the window. The last thing I wanted to do was talk about what happened to my parents. It still hurt me a lot. I was going to the house of the person who had them killed, it made me irritable. And because of that, I felt a cold rising up my back. “I can’t do anything strange now. Otherwise, I will be lost.” I thought while breathing bottom.
– I’m sorry. I didn’t want you to cry. I promise I won’t touch on that anymore. – said Tobias.
I don’t know where he got me crying from, but I was grateful that he didn’t notice anything different about me.
When we arrived at his house, we saw his father sitting on the sofa, with the lights off. The only one that was on was a lamp that was on top of him. that became another photo in the album.
– Father\, it is not good to watch this. You need to rest\, – said Tobias.
– Leave me alone. I want to be alone.- said my uncle almost shouting at him.
Tobias shrugged and went up the stairs and I followed him until we stopped in front of a door.
– This is your room. I hope you like it. – he told me.
– Just because I have a bed\, I like it. – I said and we burst out laughing. – He just needs time. Don’t be upset with him. – I said trying to comfort him.
– Okay. I won’t be. I just think this is all very strange. He wasn’t so sad when my mother died. That’s why I’m a little hurt. But I’ll be fine. – He told me.
– I’m going to take a shower and go down to dinner. – I said to him smiling.
The smile worked. He smiled back, nodded and went into his room.
I opened the door and went in. The room was beautiful. The walls were white, there was a beautiful chandelier in the center of the ceiling, on the wall there was a huge mirror that could see the whole body of three more people beside me and a huge bed. On the wall in front of the bed, there was a door. It was a closet, and at the bottom there was another door, it was the bathroom. In the bathroom there was a very large bathtub and the sink was made of quartz. I quickly arranged my clothes in the closet and went take a shower. I preferred to use the shower.
While taking my shower, I was thinking about why I was so moved by Tobias’ gesture of taking me for a walk and the gift he gave me.
Even though I knew he was trying to seduce me, I knew he was not to blame for what was going on.
As I heard a good part of the conversation, I knew that he did not approve of anything his father had done and was trying to do. And I heard my uncle saying that Tobias liked me.
Suddenly I started to cry. I was practically in despair. I couldn’t have opened my heart so quickly. This could be my ruin or his. I couldn’t leave him alive so I could get revenge on my uncle. On the other hand, I didn’t want to lose anyone else that I liked.
Tobias was always like an older brother to me. He always took care of me and protected me whenever he had the chance. And I always liked him.
– What am I going to do from now on? – I whispered under the shower while I kept crying.
After finishing the shower, I put on a champagne-colored dress and looked at myself in the mirror several times to see if my eyes were still swollen from my crying shower.
That’s when I heard Tobias knocking on the door and calling me. I opened the door and he gave me a smile.
– It’s amazing how well any outfit suits you. – he said to me\, offering me his arm.
– And it’s amazing how you keep fawning over me\, even after I grow up. – she said to him laughing and accepting his arm.
We went down the stairs and realized that my uncle was still there. In the same place, crying for Victoria. I didn’t want to be watching that scene. I didn’t care about him at all.
– He just needs some time. Remember that. – I said to Tobias while he looked at his father in that state.
– I’ll give him time. Don’t worry. – He answered me.
We went to the dining room and there was the maid who was just hired waiting for us.
– Can I serve dinner? – she asked softly.
– Yes. – said Tobias.
– What’s her name ? – I asked.
– It’s Rose. She’s still trying to get used to all the chores. Don’t be hard on her. – He asked me.
– Just myself to be tough on someone. – I said smiling at him.
Rose came back with dinner and we ate quietly. Everything was very calm until Tobias decided to break the silence.
– Book your whole day tomorrow. I want to surprise you.
– Another one? – I asked raising my eyebrows.
– Yes. And I bet you’ll love it. – he said excitedly.
– Okay. I really have nothing to do. – I replied smiling.
– Great. Then I’ll be going to sleep.Good night.- he said and then kissed my forehead.
– Good night.- I replied to him and I watched him go up the stairs.
Even his gait was graceful. It looked like he was dancing instead of walking.
Then I went into the living room to say good night to my uncle. But it was in vain. He wasn’t paying attention to what was happening around him.
I went up the stairs, went into my room, brushed my teeth and went to try to get a good night’s sleep even though I was in the last place in the world that I wanted to be.
