I felt that I lost some of my balance and Tobias hurriedly got up to hold me.
– Come\, sit here. – he said while holding my arm and helping me sit.
– I am fine. – I told him.
– I’ll get you a glass of water. – he said going towards the kitchen.
I wondered how I would complete my revenge if my uncle died. Everything I had done up to that point would have been in vain if such a thing had happened.
– Here\, drink. – Tobias said as he passed me the glass of water.
– How’s he doing? – I asked with a worried tone to him.
– He is being seen by the doctor in his room. The doctor said that he will be fine\, but he took several medicines at once. Maybe leave some sequel. – Tobias said as he sat next to me.
I didn’t want my uncle to die. At least not now. I wanted to make him suffer a lot before I killed him myself. But if he died now, for me, it would be an advantage. Tobias could stay alive, without knowing who was the person who was killing his family little by little. I could have him in my life forever.
As I lost myself in my thoughts, Tobias interrupted all my reasoning by saying:
– He even wrote a letter.
– What did he say to her? – I asked curiously.
– Read it yourself. – he said as he passed the letter to me.
He already gave it to me open, so I started reading immediately.
“Tobias, my son, I’m sorry to leave you alone in this world, but I can’t stand to live anymore. I can’t stand to lose the people I love anymore and I don’t know what would become of me if I saw you die too. I prefer to go first. You may find me selfish, but I don’t want to suffer anymore. I know that the person who killed your brother and Victoria is behind me. I did many bad things in my life besides the one I told you a few days ago. I hope you will forgive me one day. I love you. “
It wasn’t quite a letter, it looked more like a note. The paper had tear marks. I felt quite happy to know that my uncle was really suffering. But I never imagined that he would try against his life.
– Tobias\, he can’t die at all. – I said giving him the letter back.
I didn’t want my uncle to survive, but I wanted Tobias not to be suspicious of my actions or the feelings of revenge I had for my uncle. Saying what he would like to hear was a great way to outwit any suspicion.
– I know. He won’t. The midfielder is doing everything in his power. – he said coming to sit closer to me.
When he approached, he wrapped one of his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him. I felt my heart speed up and my face heat up. “I’m turning red again” I thought as I looked at him.
Upon realizing that I was embarrassed, he smiled and laid his head on my shoulder. He wanted to be comforted, it was obvious. So I started stroking and playing with his hair.
After a few minutes we heard the doctor come down the stairs. Tobias jumped up from the sofa and went towards the doctor and I went with him.
– How is he doctor? – asked Tobias in a tone of distress.
– He is fine. He just needs to peel. The remedies had direct contact with his bloodstream\, causing the blood pressure to rise. But don’t worry\, he no longer has any medicine in his body. But he needs to breathe with the help. of an appliance. – replied the doctor.
– How can he be well if he is breathing with a device? – asked Tobias\, a little nervous.
– Mr. King also ingested some acid\, which corroded his respiratory system a little. He will not leave any sequelae\, but he will need a few years to recover one hundred percent. – said the doctor.
How did he get acid and not die? My uncle is so bad that it is difficult even to die.
– Can we go see him? – I asked.
– Yes ma’am. – replied the doctor.
– Remember not to tell anyone about what happened. – said Tobias to the doctor.
– Don’t worry sir. – replied the doctor.
Tobias went ahead and I went after him. He was going too fast, after all, he was his father after all. I wasn’t going because I cared, but I wanted to see the state of the bastard’s health. If he died of causes “natural”, there would only be advantages for me.
When we reached the door of his room, Tobias opened the door slowly and then went to his father’s side. He stood on the right side of the bed and I on the left side. I watched my uncle lying in that state, breathing with the help of a sound. The sound of oxygen coming and going into his nostrils was annoying. Once in a while, I would give Tobias a glance. He hasn’t looked at me since we entered his father’s room.
I spent a few minutes thinking about what to do so I could kill my uncle right there, without Tobias realizing it. So I had a wonderful idea. Like Tobias, I took one of my uncle’s hands. At that moment he looked at me with a sad look in your eyes and I gave you the same look.
– He’ll be fine\, don’t worry. – I said quietly.
He just nodded and went back to watching my uncle.
As I still had my hands in my uncle’s hand and nothing had happened yet, Tobias wouldn’t doubt me. But I was a little afraid of a detail: If I use my powers now, my hands will they be blue?
But I didn’t have time. The worst that could happen is having to kill them both at that moment. But I didn’t want to kill Tobias, so I gave up on the idea.
– Please stay here with him\, I’ll be right back. – Tobias said getting up and hurrying out of the room.
If that’s not luck, I don’t know what it was. Everyone left the room of their own free will and I had the free way to proceed with my plan.
I took my uncle’s hand back and started transferring a low temperature to his body, but without leaving traces of ice on his skin. I realized that my hands had not turned blue. I had been worried for a moment. your heart rate would slow down on the monitor that was on the left side of your bed.
Suddenly I started to hear a noise coming from the corridor. I let go of his hand and got up to open the door and look
to try to find out where that noise was coming from. As I looked outside the room, I saw Tobias near the stairs crying as if he had lost someone.
So I gave up on killing my uncle at that moment. I closed his bedroom door and walked towards Tobias without making a sound. I hugged him from behind and realized he was drying his tears so I wouldn’t see him crying. turned to me, hugged me very tight and buried his face in my shoulder.
– Can I stay for a while like this? – he asked me.
– Take your time. – I replied affectionately while stroking his head.
