The next two days passed in the blink of an eye. One of those days we chose to bathe in the sea and the other we decided to spend the whole day in the pool. I was completely exhausted on our fourth day of travel. We woke up early because of what we had. arranged the night before. On the porch of the beach house, we placed two hammocks next to each other so that the two of us could talk while we rested after two completely restless days.
Before we went to the balcony Tobias decided to cook something that didn’t take long to get ready and as I didn’t know how to do anything that went on the fire, I decided to help by making juice and separating water and soft drinks so that we didn’t have to get up for anything after we went to the outside.
– Which juice do you prefer? – I asked Tobias already knowing his answer.
– Orange\, of course. – he replied with a huge smile on his lips.
I smiled back as I picked up some oranges to start making the juice. Meanwhile, Tobias had gone outside to take some stools and a table to place next to the nets.
Suddenly I felt that feeling of being seen coming back and I looked outside through the back door that was open. Upon looking in detail, I saw a figure of someone running to hide in the trees. I felt a chill go up the my spine and I locked the door quickly. When Tobias returned, he saw that I was scared.
– What happened ? – he asked me while holding my hands.
– I saw someone running through the trees. – I answered.
– Don’t worry\, I won’t let anyone do you any harm. – he said hugging me.
After he released me, he went back to help him in the kitchen. As we were exhausted, we decided that that day, we would just eat junk food, both sweet and savory. This would be our lazy day.
We took everything to the veranda when we finished preparing everything and threw ourselves into their hammock. The breeze coming from the direction of the sea, made that environment perfect for what we wanted to do, which was absolutely nothing.
We spent hours talking and taking several pictures while listening to music. After a while, I realized that Tobias had fallen asleep and stretched out on my hammock to watch him. He looked very cute while sleeping. His eyelashes seemed to be longer because of your closed eyes.
All of my attention that I was giving to Tobias was completely stolen after I heard a noise like someone tripped over something or hit something. I jumped out of the hammock and went to the side of the porch to see the it was and I saw a man running towards the trees. I looked back to make sure Tobias was still asleep and jumped up to go after that man to try to know what he wanted to keep an eye on me.
I couldn’t see very well the stranger’s characteristics, he was already far away when I decided to start following him, the only thing I could be sure of was what I saw of him, that he was wearing a suit and was bald. Who wears a suit on the beach?
When I entered the small forest around our beach house, I started looking around to see if I could find any clues about the guy who was watching me. I wasn’t afraid, but I would love to know who sent him here. .
I think I spent about five minutes looking at the trees, so I decided to go back to the balcony. If Tobias had woken up, he would probably be worried about my disappearance. I turned my back on the forest and started walking towards the exit. I hadn’t entered much. Suddenly I heard a cracking crack when I stepped on it and I instantly turned to see and saw the man running out of sight again.
I wanted to use my powers to capture him, but I couldn’t put my identity at risk. If Tobias found out about it now, without me having any plans to keep him alive, I would have to kill him at that moment. So I just kept running after the stranger.
At that moment I realized that the years at the martial arts school paid off for me. I had received physical training for a race in a field like this. But I will not lie, my powers helped me.
I had a constant speed, but I didn’t get tired. I followed that man for about ten minutes until he collapsed with fatigue. Then I slowed down to get closer to him and pretended to be tired just like him.
– Who are you ? – I asked the man.
– What makes you think that I will speak so easily. ? – he said.
I knew it wasn’t going to be easy so I punched him pretty hard in the chin making him pass out.
– I think it was too strong. – I said while waving my hand.
I wanted to tie him up so he wouldn’t run away, but there were no ropes in the middle of the forest, of course. his arms tied back.
I tried to drag it to place it as close to the entrance to the forest as possible, but it was too heavy.
I suddenly heard something.
– Diana\, where are you? – was Tobias’s voice. He had awakened.
– How am I going to explain this situation to him? – I whispered softly to myself trying to guess which direction his voice was coming from and how far away he was.
