Shopping Paradise was located in the south area of the city of Diamond, that is, the most upscale area. There were few restaurants near it because many had moved into the mall when it opened. Near these establishments, the river passed South that cut the city of Diamond and went towards the Forest of the South, where Monte da Lua was located, in which I had spent seven years learning to fight and place for the rise of my powers.
As Marshall drove towards our destination, I looked out of the car window and remembered a little time that I had been away from the city.
It had been wonderful years, until I decided to have a relationship with Jensen. I regret it today because of that.
My thoughts were interrupted by Marshall saying something that I had not heard.
– Um? – I asked when I realized he was talking.
– What’s your problem ? – he asked me it looked like he was a little confused.
– Nothing. Only unpleasant memories. – I answered.
He took a deep breath and said:
– Let the past be past. Focus on the present.
– I’ll remember that. – I replied with a smile on my face.
– Come on. We’re here. – he said before getting out of the car.
And as usual, I waited for him to open the door so I could go down. He offered me his arm and we walked towards the entrance to the restaurant.
I didn’t notice the name at the entrance to the establishment, because of the decor that had totally caught my eye. The restaurant looked like a typical Japanese house.
I went with Marshall to the front desk to check in on the reservation he had made earlier without my knowledge.
– This way\, sir and miss. – said the receptionist extending his hand so that we could pass and be led to our table.
We sat down and he passed us the menu so that we could choose our meal and gave us privacy to decide.
– What would you like to eat ? – asked Marshall.
– I’ll let you suggest something to me. – I said while looking at him with my arms resting on the table and with a smile on my face.
– So I’m going to order this one for both of us. – he said showing the menu which was the dish.
He had chosen some pieces of sushi and temakis for both of us. And that pleased me. I loved Japanese food and he knew it. When I looked at him, I saw that his face was red and I decided to ask if everything was okay with him.
– Yes\, I’m just a little ashamed to ask you a question. – He answered me.
– What would be your question? – I asked.
– Maybe you don’t like it. I saw how you were in the car. – he said.
– So you shouldn’t be ashamed\, but afraid. – I replied in a more coarse tone. – Do it now. – I spoke after regretting the way I had spoken.
– What happened during the seven years that you were out of town? – he finally asked after a brief moment of searching for courage.
As soon as he finished saying the words, I rolled my eyes, took a deep breath and started telling the whole story.
During the time that I told all the details, our dinner arrived and we kept talking about the same subject while we had dinner.
He paid the bill, we thanked him for the service and left the restaurant towards his car.
– The night is not over. I have a little surprise for you. – he said while closing the car door beside me.
– What will you do ? – I asked as soon as he entered.
– We go to the balcony of my office. – he replied and started driving right away.
I was feeling so good. It felt like having someone to talk to about everything, without having to hide anything, had done me very well and I was happy. Marshall was my salvation for four years now. And that statement had become even more so. strong at that moment.
Due to the fact that the mall is very close to the restaurant, we arrived in less than five minutes at the mall’s parking lot.
Just like the hotel had my elevator aside, the mall had his. We took the elevator and went to his office. I confess I didn’t see the floor number.
– In between. – He said after unlocking the door and making a hand signal for me to pass in front.
When I entered, I saw how much his office looked like mine. White walls with some golden details to highlight. His desk was not as close to the window as mine, but it was because of the glass door that gave access. his balcony. My office didn’t have a balcony.
On his table were two bottles: one bottle of wine and one bottle of champagne.
– Which do you prefer ? – he asked me.
– We already drank champagne today. – I replied smiling.
– Your wish is a miss order. – he said as he took the glasses.
He handed me one of the glasses in my hands and poured the wine. After that, we went to the balcony to enjoy the night view of the city.
– I love seeing the city at night. – I commented.
– I know. That’s why I brought you here. My office is one of the highest places in Diamond. – he replied.
And I didn’t say anything. I just admired the view while receiving the breeze on my face. The night was cold, but it didn’t bother me.
We spent a few hours drinking on the porch and when I realized, it was past twenty-three.
– I need to go back Marshall. – I said.
– Let me tell you something first. – he asked.
– You can talk. – I answered.
– I’ve been by your side all these years. In the beginning\, it was just because your strong personality caught my attention because you were different from other women. But over time\, I ended up discovering that I love you\, Diana. I know you don’t see me that way. But I needed to tell you this. – he said and I was surprised with every word that came out of his mouth.
At that moment, I felt a mixture of feelings and in the end, I ended up not knowing what I was feeling.
– Thank you for your sincerity and your feelings. – was the only thing I managed to say at that time.
Then he started to approach me slowly, stopped in front of me and looked into my eyes. I didn’t try to push him away, I didn’t want to do that. Suddenly he put his wine glass on the porch rail and He put his hands on my waist and kissed me. His kiss was affectionate but at the same time strong and dominating. Suddenly I was no longer able to control my impulses and I wrapped his arms around his body. and I was breathless. Then out of nowhere, I had a brief return to consciousness.
– Not here. – I said whispering in his ear.
– Okay. Let’s go to the hotel. – he said.
And I didn’t reject him. I didn’t know what was happening to me. I just knew that my body was wanting to throw itself into his arms and forget everything.
He took my hand and we left his office to take the elevator. We got out in the parking lot, got in the car and he started driving almost instantly towards the hotel. Halfway I started to get nervous, after all, it would be mine I never considered the violence I suffered as my first time. Because of my nervousness I didn’t realize it when we arrived at the hotel garage.
We took the elevator and went to the floor of the suite he was staying in. During all this time, I had never entered his room.
It was late, so there were no guests in the halls. We entered his room without being seen by anyone. I went in the front and he stayed to lock the door. In the meantime, I took out my cell phone and texted Emily:
“Take the day off tomorrow. See you on Monday.” and then I turned off my cell phone.
Suddenly I felt Marshall’s lips touch the back of my neck and I shivered instantly. I turned to look him in the eye, but he kissed me quite willingly with one hand on my waist and the other on my hair. I was going crazy. I felt his hand on my back unzipping my dress and I started unbuttoning his shirt and then his pants. We lay on his bed and I just managed to say a few words at that moment:
– Be kind\, please.
– Don’t worry. I promise I will be. – He replied looking into my eyes and caressing my face.
Soon after, he kissed me affectionately. And it was at that moment that the hottest night of my life began.
