Seeing life leaving his eyes, made me feel a sense of pleasure that I had never felt before in my life. Finally I could start a real life without any connection with the past. It was already resolved, or almost.
I looked at the window I had frozen in my uncle’s office and by the sound of the water, it was still raining outside. I looked at myself and realized I was all bloody and decided to prepare my things to leave once and for all from that house.
But when I turned around to start walking towards the door, I felt a strong headache. Maybe it was due to the knock on the curb or the effort made right after that event. Suddenly I fell on my knees on the floor. , everything started to get dark around me and I passed out.
I don’t know how much time I spent unconscious. I opened my eyes and everything was the same as before I went out. I looked around a little bewildered and got up very slowly. I walked towards my room and took a shower so I could take all my uncle’s blood that had already dried from my body. I changed my clothes and started organizing all my belongings in my bags and suitcases. As soon as I finished, I took out my cell phone and called Marshall.
– Hello dear. – he said in a very cheerful tone of voice.
– Hi. Could you come and pick me up at my uncle’s house? I will not live here anymore. – I said.
– What happened ? – he asked me.
– What should have happened a long time ago. I’ll tell you personally. – I answered.
– I’ll be there soon. – he said and hung up afterwards.
I grabbed my bags and went to my uncle’s office again to get what was in the safe. But first, I searched his computer for the videos of the surveillance cameras inside the house. I deleted all the videos from the security circuit and then I went to try to open the safe. I didn’t know the password, but I gave it my way. I froze the door to the safe and right after that, I punched my frozen hand and the door turned into pieces of ice. inside the safe and I knew it all existed because he sold all the luxury ornaments and decorations, and stole the group’s capital. My uncle really was very demented for certain things. He got everything he wanted by stealing and killing , but kept all the money at home.
But from then on, everything would return to its proper place. I didn’t take all the money back. I just recovered the old capital he had stolen, a total of thirty million dollars, put it in some of my bags and started walking towards the corridor. As I walked and passed the cameras, I froze all the lenses. I went down the stairs and suddenly I heard the sound of someone trying to open the front door of the house at all costs.
I didn’t unlock the door. I waited to know who it was and after about five minutes of kicking, the door opened. It was Tobias.
– Where do you think you’re going? – he said when he saw my bags packed beside me.
– I have nothing else to do here. – I answered.
– I haven’t finished talking to you yet. – he said coming towards me.
– Tobias\, if you try something against me\, this time I will not spare you. – I said as I walked towards him.
Out of nowhere he started running and hugged me and I pushed him away.
– I won’t fall for it again. – I said while turning my right arm into the same blade that had taken my uncle’s life.
– Calm down\, I just want to talk to you. – he said raising his hands and taking a step back.
He was all bloody from the car accident and whenever he took a step, he limped. I took a deep breath, sat on the couch, crossed my legs and said:
– Speak.
– I acted impulsively\, without thinking. I was very angry to know that it was you who was doing this to my family and didn’t want to hear and understand your reasons. I always distrusted you\, but I kept that thought out of the way. for thinking that if it were true\, I wouldn’t know what to do. And at the time I really didn’t know and the decision I made was the worst reaction I could have at the moment. – at that moment he knelt on the floor and continued looking into my eyes. – Diana\, I really love you and I don’t care who you are or who you killed. Please marry me. – he said.
At that moment I got up and helped him to his feet and said looking into his eyes
– Your father is dead up there.
– My marriage proposal was my third secret. – he said\, still looking into my eyes and I saw the hate wanting to overflow.
– I would never marry a person who stabbed me while hugging me\, making me think I had really been forgiven. – I replied without emotion.
– I understand your reasons. And I beg your pardon now\, please. – he asked.
– The love I have for you keeps you alive. But I don’t want to have anything more with you\, Tobias. – I said.
– Diana ? – I heard Marshall call me.
– I’m going. – I replied looking at the door and saw him standing there.
– Please\, Diana. – Tobias said holding my hand.
– Goodbye\, Tobias. – I said while making him release my hand.
I walked over to the couch, grabbed my bags and started walking towards the door where Marshall was waiting for me. I passed by Tobias without looking in his face and I felt an air of sadness around him, but I didn’t stop. arriving at the Marshall door helped me with my bags without saying a word if you want until we get in the car.
– What did you do exactly? – he asked me while starting the car.
– Tobias knows about me and I killed my uncle. – I replied looking at the window. It had already stopped raining.
– And are you going to keep him alive even though you know everything? And if he goes around spreading the truth. – he asked me.
– It will be my word against his. There is no evidence against me. And I’m pretty sure he won’t do that. – I answered.
– You crazy. – he said smiling and I laughed with him. – where do you intend to go? – he asked me.
– For the hotel. I will be staying in one of the rooms. – I answered.
– Why don’t you live with me? – he asked as he shared his attention with me and the clue.
– First\, because we are just friends. And second\, pay attention to the track. Then you look at me. – I said laughing and he laughed too.
– Okay. But if you want\, my room will always have doors open for you. – he said.
– I know. Thanks for everything. – I answered.
– No need to thank me\, dear. – he said with a smile on his face.
And we kept going smoothly towards the hotel I had reopened in the center of Diamond.
