I realized that my body was lying on a bed and suddenly I started to hear Marshall’s voice close to me. I also felt two hands holding my left hand and a very tender kiss on my forehead. Then I did a little strength to squeeze that person’s hand to let them know I was listening. I opened my eyes to see who it was, but my eyesight was very blurry. I think it was because of the time I was unconscious. my vision was clear so that I could see perfectly.
As soon as my vision returned to normal, I saw that it was Marshall who was beside me holding my hand and with a wide smile on his lips. I confess that the fact that he was the first person I saw when I opened my eyes, made i feel very happy.
– Marshall. – I said in a low\, weak voice and was surprised by that.
– Shiiiii. Don’t say anything. You need to rest. – he said placing one of his fingers on my lips.
I nodded and gave him a slight smile. And he returned it.
– Wait a minute. – He said going on the other side of the bed.
I couldn’t move because it was connected to several devices that helped my breathing. Because of that, I didn’t move to see what Marshall had been doing. I just heard some whispers and saw a person standing up almost with a jump.
When I saw that this person was Tobias, I felt anger spill over my face.
– Diana.Good that you woke up. – Tobias said taking one of my hands.
I couldn’t get him to let go of my hand, so I turned my face away so he couldn’t see my face and I didn’t say anything.
– Diana\, we need to talk. – he said.
– I don’t think she wants to talk to you. – said Marshall.
– But she needs to hear me. – Tobias said insisting.
– Do the following\, wait for her to recover and she will talk to you. I promise that I will talk to her myself so she will look for you. – said Marshall.
– I’m not even going to look for Tobias in my dreams. – I said in my thoughts.
– Then\, I will trust you. – said Tobias.
– See you later. – said Marshall.
Tobias did not answer. And the sound of the door opening and closing soon afterwards let me know that he was gone. Then I turned my face back to the place.
– I know you are very hurt by him\, but you need to talk and solve everything at once. – said Marshall.
I really needed to settle with Tobias, but I wasn’t ready to do that at the moment.
Suddenly the door opened and a tall man with clear eyes came in. He was wearing a white coat, so it could only be the doctor who was looking after me.
– Mr. King warned me that you had woken up. Are you feeling well? – he asked me.
– Yes. – I answered in a firmer tone now.
– Great. I’ll turn off these devices and you can sit down. – he said while removing the oxygen tube that was in my face.
I was relieved to see all that equipment being removed from me. I positioned myself to sit very slowly, Marshall helped me. I leaned my back against the bed mirror and I could watch the entire room.
– How long have I been unconscious? – I asked the doctor while he checked my temperature and measured my pressure.
– Exactly eighteen hours. – he replied.
To me it felt like it had been minutes. Everything went black suddenly and I couldn’t hear anything else. The memory of Marshall’s voice fading as I fell deeper into the darkness was still in my mind. And out of nowhere, I wake up and am in one hospital and my room is super clear.
– You are perfectly fine. You will be under observation for twenty-four hours. If everything is fine at the same time tomorrow\, you can go home. – said the doctor.
– Thank you doctor. – I said smiling.
– Don’t smile like that. He’s a fan of yours. He might have a heart attack if you make him very happy. – said Marshall.
– I wish I had the opportunity to tell her this myself. Your spoils pleasure. – Said the doctor pouting.
– I just did you a favor\, Josh. You should be thanking me. – Marshall said with an ironic tone.
The doctor said nothing, just turned and left the room. I turned my eyes to Marshall and put on an expression of someone who didn’t understand anything at all.
– He’s a friend of mine. – He said smiling when he saw my confused expression.
– What did you say had happened to me? – I asked.
– That you had suffered an attempted robbery. He was stabbed and hit his head on the curb. – he replied.
– You are good to lie. – I commented.
– Is this a praise ? – he asked me with one eyebrow raised.
– I have no idea. – I said smiling.
And he smiled too. Suddenly his cell phone starts ringing.
– It’s my dad. He probably wants to know if you. – he said.
– Did you tell him? – I asked perplexed.
– I had no choice. I was about to get on the elevator when he was about to leave to visit me. – He said and immediately left the room to answer the call.
So I got up very slowly and went to the bedroom window to see what my view of that evening would be. And I was surprised to see the beautiful sunset right before my eyes. It seemed so close, but in my time so The buildings took a brief break in their sequences, giving a great space to admire the nature that existed in the city of Diamond.
When I least expected it, I felt two arms wrap around my chest from behind.
– I will not hug your waist so as not to hurt your wound. said Marshall.
– It’s all right. – I answered.
– Can we stay like this for a while? Watching the sunset. – he asked me.
– I would love to. – I answered.
So I put one of my hands on top of one of his hands and I was caressing it while enjoying the beautiful view of the sunset.
