~ A month later ~
I woke up very early to hear the sound of my alarm clock. This was going to be a very special day, despite the fact that I’m getting more and more nervous over time.
Every day I saw news where Marshall and I were the main subject. And that day had come. The day of our wedding.
We both had no access to anything related to the party. The twins and Mr. Prince tried to provide every detail.
I got up from my bed and walked very slowly to the bathroom. I turned on the tap to fill the bathtub and started to prepare the mineral salts that I would put in the water. As soon as the water reached the level I wanted, I took off my clothes, went in in the bathtub and I took a very relaxing bath.
After finishing my shower, I wore blue denim shorts and a black blouse. I combed my hair leaving it loose and left my room. When I was in the hallway, I saw that Marshall was waiting for me at the door of his room.
– Good morning my love. – I said while hugging him.
– Good morning princess. – he said before giving me a kiss.
I nodded and smiled. Then we took the elevator and went to one of the hotel’s restaurants to eat.
During our meal, the twins arrived to take me to the beauty salon.
– You should only see each other at the wedding. – Shauna said when she saw us together.
– That can be bad luck. – Sarah said shortly after.
– We don’t believe in these things. – we said together.
– Okay\, okay. But we need to kidnap your fiancee now. – said Shauna.
Then we both got up and he pulled me over to hug me.
– See you at the altar. – he said and immediately gave me a very affectionate kiss.
– See you at the altar. – I said smiling.
At that moment, each of the twins took my arm and they dragged me to Shauna’s car. All the way to the beauty salon, we talked and sang a lot. The happiness of my wedding day was spreading to all of us and that made me very happy.
– Have you decided which hairstyle you want to do? – asked Sarah.
– Yes. – I replied smiling.
– Which one ? Which one ? – asked Shauna curiously.
– This one. – I said showing an image on my cell phone.
The hairstyle I had chosen would be a braid that would start at the top of my head and go up to my waist. It would have some adornments to highlight the beauty of my snow-white hair.
I was sure Sarah would kill me when I saw that simple hairstyle, but it was what I liked the most.
– Do you have any fetish for braids? – asked Sarah.
– I just really like it. – I replied looking at her.
– Let’s make a small change. As the dress I chose for you has an exposed back\, I suggest that we make this braid go down and stay forward over your right shoulder. What do you think ? – she suggested.
– If it’s like I’m imagining\, it will be beautiful. – I replied excitedly.
– So\, let’s get to work. – said Sarah.
We entered the salon and the hairdresser, makeup artist and manicure were already waiting for us.
The wedding was scheduled for 1:00 pm and as it was still 8:00 am, we had plenty of time to be carefree.
It took about an hour and a half for my hair to be ready, while the hairdresser was making the last adjustments, the manicure was already finishing my nails. I had chosen a white nail polish to match the dress.
After my hair was ready, the makeup artist started her work. She asked if I had any preference for makeup type and I said that I liked the ones that highlighted my eyes.
So she chose a light shade and made use of eyeliner, mascara and eyeliner.
When everything was ready, the twins took me to Mr. Prince’s house so that I could finish getting ready.
– Are you sure Marshall won’t be there? – I asked nervously.
– Hey\, didn’t you say earlier that you didn’t believe in this “unlucky thing for the groom to see the bride before the wedding”? – Asked Shauna mockingly.
– I don’t believe it. But I want to surprise your brother. – I answered.
The twins just laughed at my answer and when we arrived at the Prince mansion, they dragged me to their room.
– Come and see your dress. – Sarah said opening her closet.
When I looked inside the closet, I saw a long white dress. It was in a strapless style that had constant stones from the bust to the waist. The skirt of the dress was set in the right measure and had some shiny stones scattered everywhere.
– It’s beautiful. – I said almost letting a tear escape my eye.
– Do not Cry. – Shauna said waving his hands in front of my face.
– Girls\, thank you for being by my side at this very special moment. You are like sisters to me. – I said while hugging the twins.
– You are our sister\, Diana. Never forget that. – Sarah said holding my hands. – Now come on\, let’s help you get dressed. she said shortly afterwards.
Then the twins helped me get dressed. And when I was ready, I took a look at myself in the mirror and saw from all possible angles the dress I was wearing.
– You are wonderful. – said Shauna.
– Thanks. – I talked.
– Stay here. We’ll finish getting ready in the next room. – said Sarah.
– Anything\, you call us. – Shauna said as the two left the room.
I was very happy. The only things that saddened me a little was the fact that my parents were not with me on such a special day and because I did not follow the preparations.
Mr Prince was so upset that Marshall and I had not told him about our decision to marry, that he did not let us give our opinion on anything. Both the engagement party and the wedding party.
The only thing he had left for us both in advance is that he would give us a house as a gift and our wedding would be held in the gardens of the Prince mansion.
When I was lost in thought trying to calm myself down for the ceremony, I heard a light knock on the door and went to see who it was.
– If it were the groom\, the surprise would have been ruined. – said Mr Prince.
– Good thing it’s not him. – I said smiling.
– You look beautiful dear. – he said surprised.
– Thank you\, sir. Thank you for everything. – I thanked him and gave him a hug.
– There’s no reason to thank me. Come\, I’ll accompany you to the altar. – he said offering me one of his arms.
I accepted him and we started walking towards the stairs. When we reached the floor below, Sarah approached the two of us.
– All that’s missing here. – she said putting a small crown with a blue stone on my head and covering my face with the veil.
– Is it a sapphire? – I asked.
– Yes. – she replied\, smiling.
– Is beautiful. – I commented. – Thanks. – I thanked him right away.
– No need to thank. – she replied while passing me a bouquet full of red roses to my hands.
The two of us exchanged smiles and soon after she went to the gardens before me and Mr Prince.
– Is ready ? he asked me.
– I am. – I replied firmly.
Then we started walking towards the door that gave access to the gardens. As soon as the musicians saw us, the wedding march began and all the guests stood up. Me and Mr. Prince crossed the garden through a long red carpet.
When we reached the altar, I realized that Marshall was crying when he saw me dressed as a bride. He offered one of his hands so I could take it.
– Here is your fiancee\, my son. Take good care of her. said Mr Prince as he put my hand in one of Marshall’s hands and kissed my forehead shortly thereafter.
– I’ll take care\, father. – replied Marshall giving his father a hug.
We turned to the judge and he started the ceremony after asking everyone to take their seats.
