Nancy was hospitalised immediately after taking her out of the basement. The guy was taken away by the police.
Nancy’s face was bandaged and she was lying unconscious in the hospital bed.
Rachel tried calling Charles many times but his phone was switched off. She also called David to ask about this incident but his phone was also switched off.

David had left the country for a few days due to an emergency with one if his relatives and none of them knew about it. So Rachel was unable to connect with David.
Charles was searching for Nancy everywhere. He even went near the basement to search for his sister. But at the same time that guy was leaving the basement after tying Nancy and he saw Charles. He didn’t want his plan to go to waste and so he knocked out Charles from behind and left him at a hospital. He even bribed a hospital staff to add sleeping pills to his food. Charles had woken up and tried to go there again but eating the foot made him drowsy and he soon fell asleep. He didn’t know what was going on. His phone kept ringing and soon run out of power.

Nancy woke up at the same evening. She suffered a trauma from this incident and started to be scared of people and darkness. She was also mentally injured as she was suffering from depression before this happening. When she woke up Rachel went to her and spoke to her. Nancy was unable to speak due to her current face conditions so she used a pen and paper to answer Rachel.
She told Rachel about why the guy was harming her and that David had nothing to do with it. Nancy also persuaded Rachel to say Charles that she was not alive. Rachel didn’t agree to her request at first but when Nancy said that she wanted him to live happily without worrying about supporting her, Rachel agreed.
Rachel and Nancy spoke to the doctors and they said that after having a plastic surgery her face would be alright, but her initial appearance will change. Both Rachel and Nancy agreed to this.

When Charles woke up, the police said him that they had caught the criminal. Rachel called him and said that Nancy was no more and that she will be leaving this country for a month due to business purposes. Charles was like a lunatic after hearing about his sisters death. Rachel wanted to say the truth to him but Nancy stopped her. David still didn’t return so no one was able to contact him.
Finally after a week Charles decided to meet this guy who had killed his sister. The guy said to him that David had said him to do so.
The police said Charles that he was clearly lying as David didn’t have any interactions with this guy before and there was proof supporting that, but Charles didn’t believe them. Even Rachel called him to tell the truth but he thought that Rachel was trying to save David as she loved him. Rachel was unable to say that Nancy was the witness to this statement. So the last string of friendship between them ended and Charles thought of her as his enemy.

David came back but still didn’t know about this incident and his involvement. The day when he went to his high school after returning back was the same day when they had their outing. That day Charles tried to push him and he himself fell off from that height. Rachel got the news about Charles and wanted to keep it a secret from Nancy for the time being but this incident was given in the newspaper and Nancy got to know about it. Her health detoriated drastically after this and she started having suicidal symptoms.
Rachel immediately transferred Nancy to another hospital overseas and started her treatment. At first Nancy didn’t listen to any of them and tried to kill herself many times. But Rachel had coaxed her and persuaded her to treat herself by saying that Charles wouldn’t have wished to see his sister in this state. Nancy agreed half heartedly.
