David asked the question emphasizing on the last three words. His heart was beating like crazy after saying the question. He wanted to know her name eagerly. He kept looking at Rachel.
Rachel spoke, “Do you remember that she said that she will never herself tell that she gave it. You have to find her out if she is lost? “
David nodded, “Yes I remember. I need to find her. I don’t want to break our promises. “
Rachel’s heart skipped a beat when she heard that he will keep his promise. She controlled her tears and said, “And that’s why I can never tell who it was. So I think we don’t have anything to say anymore. Bye Mr. David. Liam and Max let’s go back. “
Liam and Max turned to leave. Rachel turned too. David didn’t expect that Rachel wouldn’t say who his love was.
David saw that they were leaving and he knew that Rachel wouldn’t say her name. So David said, “You really are a sl*t. Rachel you didn’t tell me the name. But remember whatever you do I will still find her out. Even if it takes years. I will. “
Rachel’s heart hurt listening to him cursing her. Tears flowed down her cheeks. She mumbled, “I wish you find out who she is. After all according to our promise I can never say it was me. ” She quickened her pace and left. Liam and Max also followed her.
David was very angry at Rachel. He wanted to curse her continuously so that he can vent his anger. He stomped his feet but it didn’t help. Then he went near the wall and punched it. Blood trickled down his knuckles. But this pain was nothing compared to the pain he was feeling in his heart.
Rachel didn’t go back to the party. She went to the washroom and tidied herself. She then returned to the party and met with few people. She informed them that she was leaving and then left. Max left with her whereas Liam still had to attend it on Rachel’s behalf.
David saw the blood in his right hands and went to the washroom. He opened the tap and let the water wash away his blood from his hand. His knuckles were burning when it came in contact with the water. It was feeling hot and painful. He suppressed the pain and tied his right hand with his white handkerchief. He thought of treating the wound after going back to his room.
He returned to the party but he didn’t see Rachel or Max. He only saw Liam. He scoffed. David thought that Rachel was scared of him and went back.
But Rachel went back as she was having a sharp pain in her right eye. And that pain was unbearable. Her right eye felt like it was being taken out. And this was not the first time she was experiencing this. For some past months her pain was growing. And it was becoming unbearable.
