Chapter 45
Spencer stood beside Tiffanie, his frustration boiling over as he overheard the
conversation. No matter how capable Brielle was, deep down, she was just
cheating slut. “I think Brielle’s miles better than Lillian. At least she’s got
substance.”
Tiffanie, pressing her ear against the door, ignored the darkening scowl on
Spencer's face. Spencer's chest felt like it was about to explode. “Her? She’s not
even in Lillian’s league, let alone mine.”
“Oh, come on. You sneak around with Lillian behind her back, and I've got my
own parade of guys. We're all tarred with the same brush, aren't we?”
Spencer was utterly disgusted. Everyone knew Tiffanie was easy. “You're
comparing yourself to me?”
He had only been with Lillian, while Tiffanie had been, well, let's just say she
wasn’t exactly playing hard to get. Where did she get her confidence from?
Tiffanie’s eyes widened as she looked Spencer up and down. “No way, you think
you're some sort of prize?”
Spencer’s nose twitched in anger, but he couldn't lash out at her. After all,
Tiffanie, for all her outrageous behavior, was coddled at home, which had led to
her spoiled and carefree attitude.
The meeting inside had ended, and Tiffanie, with a chirpy “Maxie,” pushed open
the door.
Nobody in the conference room moved a muscle, because while they had been
condemning Brielle, Max had remained silent, ending the session with a mere
“Dismissed.” They couldn't gauge his mood and sat frozen in their seats.
Tiffanie’s arrival broke the tense atmosphere. However, when the others saw her
tank top and the roses tattooed all over her arms, expressions of disdain flickered
in their eyes, as if she were some repulsive virus
Oblivious to the cold reception, Tiffanie headed straight for Max. “Maxie,
remember you promised to get me that theme park?”
She wore a smile, and as she passed Brielle, she sweetly said, “Hey there,
Brielle.”
Brielle had seen her before, caked in makeup, her real face hidden. Today's
lighter application revealed a surprisingly cute appearance, if you could get past
the excessive
tattoos.
Tiffanie, who could buy a yacht for a pop star one day and blow a fortune on a
male model the next, seemed unaffected by the scathing public opinion, enjoying

Now she was beside Max, all cute and adorable.

Brielle was caught off guard but nodded instinctively.
“Thanks.” Tiffanie grinned and held out her hand for the card, but Max didn’t look
at her, his tone icy. “Clean yourself up first.”
Her face lit up, and she hurried over to Brielle. “Let's go get that makeup
remover.”

Spencer was still waiting outside the door. Seeing her, he was so angry he could
bite steel. “Brielle!”
He swung his fist in reflex, determined to take her down that day.
But as his fist sailed through the air, Tiffanie’s exaggerated shout came from the
side. “Maxie, hurry! Spencer is about to hit Brielle!!”
Spencer felt like he was choking on his own rage, on the verge of passing out.
From inside the room, Max's voice, ice-cold, cut through, “Spencer, get in here.”
