Chapter 1032
Keegan paused. He called her again, and the same thing happened.
Stella did not answer his call.
He looked at Aldor as if his eyes were saying, "It's not like what you told me at all."
Aldor coughed. "You should've called her back as soon as she hung up. It's already been more than two hours now. She
probably got a lot angrier than before after so long. I'm not surprised that she isn't picking up. If you want to apologize to your
girlfriend, you've got to do it as soon as you can. The longer you wait, the less willing she is to reconcile."
Keegan kept quiet.
"What should I do then?"
"Pick her up tomorrow morning and talk to her in person."
Keegan thought about it and stopped dwelling on it. It was already so late, and it would be difficult for him to explain himself
through the phone.
Moreover, he figured that he would probably make Stella even angrier if that happened.
So, he transferred five million into Stella's account with the remark: [Have a good sleep.]
Stella was still waiting for Keegan's call, and her eyelid twitched when she saw the notification.
She transferred back one dollar with the remark: [I can't sleep.]
Keegan wired her another five million: [What about now?]
Stella bit her lip and replied, holding back her smile: [I'm a little sleepy now.]
Then, Keegan gave her ten million. [Am I doing this correctly?]
Stella replied: [Asleep, do not disturb.]
Keegan chuckled.
Aldor leaned closer and asked, "Has she replied to you?’
Keegan put his phone away and glanced at him. "Your assumptions weren't very accurate."
Aldor was confused.
Then, he heard Keegan saying flatly, "She's a lot easier to pamper than you said."
His words left Aldor stunned.
"Oh, yes. Have you found anything suspicious about Trevor lately?"
Aldor recollected himself. 'There's nothing weird about Mr. Saun. He would either be working or relaxing. However, he does visit
Madam often, but he wouldn't stay long. Also, he always brought something with him too."
"Brought something? Brought what?" Keegan became cautious. "Jewelry?"
"No, mostly food and drinks. The most expensive thing he gave her was a massage chair, endorsed by one of the artists in their
company. He got it delivered to her home." Aldor frowned. "As if... he's taking care of his daughter."
Keegan's eyelid twitched. "He's only a few years older than her, isn't he?"
"You're right, but what he has been doing just makes me feel like that." Aldor paused before continuing, "Oh, yes. Mr. Saun
seems like he's looking for someone lately."
"Looking for someone?" Keegan frowned. "Who?"
Aldor furrowed his brows. "Someone from a hospital. A nurse assisted in his mother's delivery more than twenty years ago. He's
very low-key about it. I didn't know anything about it initially, but a friend saw his picture and mentioned it. He told me that
someone paid him to look for that person.'
Keegan found it strange.
'Why would he suddenly look for a nurse from twenty-plus years ago? Is he suspecting that something was wrong with his
mother's death?'
"This is the information of those people."
Aldor handed him a file. Keegan flipped through a few pages and suddenly saw a photo of a child.
He brought his brows closer and asked, "Why is a photo of Stella here?"
Aldor paused. "It can't be.’ He looked over, and he was shocked. "Mr. Kane, this is a photo of Mr. Saun as a child."
