Chapter 1088
Stella returned to her senses and smiled. "Don't worry. I'm fine."
"Okay," Shea replied. Afraid that Stella could not control herself, she deleted the Facebook app from her phone. Stella did not
stop her.
Instead, she said, "Shea, didn't Bella have protection on? How could she break her leg?"
'She's not a porcelain doll. Why would her leg be broken after falling down around forty flights of stairs with
protection on?' Shea was also puzzled about the situation.1 Bella couldn't have suffered from such a serious injury, even if she
accidentally fell,' she thought.
"Wait here. I'll be right back."
Once Shea stepped out of the room, Stuart and a few people walked in. One of their main leads had suffered an injury, and it
was not a trivial matter, especially since she was injured on set. Not only did this affect the shooting schedule, but it also affected
the public's view of the crew and the movie's reputation.
Previously, the company was under a lot of heat because of the incident regarding Bella's allergy and the death of Yolanda
Fenley. At that time, filming was delayed again and again. It was unfortunate that Bella was now admitted to the hospital once
more for an injury.
Stuart had been in the movie business for more than twenty years, yet he had never experienced such a difficult shoot before.
The expression on his face looked bad. He did not expect this incident to reach the upper management so quickly.
The person standing next to Stuart was a senior executive at the film production company, Zachery Jensen. With a gloomy look
on his face, he wanted to meet Stella. Stuart did not know what was going to happen, but it was beyond his control. All he could
do was lead Zachery to the lounge where Stella was at.
"Mr. Winfield," Stella stood up and called out as soon as she saw Stuart. But the man did not speak. Instead, the lean
man next to him, who was 5.7 feet and in his early forties, asked, "So, you're Stella Jewell?"
Stella did not reply. She was thrown off by the indifference in his voice. This was the first time she met Zachery, and she felt a
little uncomfortable being around him.
"This is Mr. Jensen. He's one of the people in charge of the film," Stuart introduced.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Jensen," said Stella.
Zachery shot her a glance and said, "The company has prepared an apology statement. Add my assistant on WhatsApp, and
he'll send it to you. Then, post the official apology on Facebook."
"An apology statement?" Stella bit down on her words. "Who am I apologizing to?"
"Bella Young and her fans, of course!" Zachery said impatiently. "Do you know how bad the impact of this matter is? If Bella's leg
does not recover soon, the movie will be put on hold indefinitely. It's a large investment. One extra day of delay costs us tens of
millions of dollars. Do you want to bear this responsibility? Issue the statement to control the public's opinion so that the incident
wouldn't affect the crew's reputation."
Upon hearing that, Stella's face darkened. "I refuse to make the statement. I didn't push Bella. She was the one who didn't follow
the directions. I withdrew my strength the moment she touched my hands. This accident has nothing to do with me. I won't
apologize."
Stella's reply made Zachery's expression turn cold. "The video of you pushing Bella is all over the internet, and you're still trying
to defend yourself? What kind of grudge does Bella have against you? Why would she hurt herself just to frame you?"
Stella's body tensed up at that moment. "I think you should be asking her this question."
"Where did you get the confidence to say something like that after pushing someone down the stairs?"
"I told you I didn't push her."
"You're saying that but where's your proof?"
While they were talking, Stella's phone rang.
