Chapter 1260
Keegan was confused.
"Why are you buying that? We don't need them anyway," he asked in a low voice.
Stella placed the order as she spoke. "Who told you I'm going to use them with you? I'm buying them for Vermont."
Keegan's eyelid twitched, as he raised his voice unintentionally. "For him? Are you that close to him to the point you can buy
something like this for him?"
Stella rolled her eyes at him. "What are you talking about? I'm just looking out for Felicity! Can I expect men like you to have any
integrity?"
Keegan kept quiet.
"There are different sizes." Stella frowned and turned to Keegan. "Which one should I buy?" she asked.
Keegan was taken aback.
"How am I supposed to know?"
Then, Stella said puzzledly, "Have you never taken a peek at him when you go to the washroom together? Just to compare?"
The edge of Keegan's mouth twitched. "Stop reading those trashy novels!"
Stella curled her lips. "I have no idea which one to buy."
Keegan glanced at her. "What is the question that Vermont didn't answer in Duncan's wedding?"
Stella paused, as a question immediately popped into her head. 'More or less than twelve?
'He skipped it without answering. Could it be... less than?'
She looked at Keegan. "Just follow your heart," Keegan said flatly.
So, Stella picked the smallest one.
In unit 902, Felicity vented, "Keegan is such a scum! He didn't win Stella's heart back through genuine means! He's playing dirty!
How could he put the blame on you and threaten me just because he wants to stay together with Stella? He's such a wicked
person!"
Vermont sighed. "He lost his father at such a young age, and his mother never cared much about him. He had a tough childhood,
and it's normal for him to have some personality disorders."
Felicity continued to vent her anger and scolded Keegan until she ran out of breath. She turned around and saw Vermont sitting
on the couch and playing with the cat. She immediately felt frustrated. "Aren't you mad that he's putting the blame on you?"
Not only that he's not angry, but he still has the mood to play with the cat. Is he that kind-hearted?' Felicity wondered to herself.
Vermont lifted his gaze and said, "I am, but what can I do about it? Keegan has always been like this anyway. And, he's been
through a lot to win Stella back. As his best friend, I can't just ruin his chances at a time like this, right?"
Felicity pouted. "You're a pretty loyal friend."
Vermont smiled without speaking.
Keegan had already handed Vermont the opportunity on a silver platter, and Vermont figured that he truly deserved to be single if
he could not seize it.
Then, he said, "There are two empty rooms here. You can sleep in either of them."
Felicity did not really mind, as she thought that Keegan would leave after staying for a few days. So, she casually answered,
"Any of them will do. Just let me sleep in the room that you're not using."
"Well, sleep in the one next to the master bedroom. The window faces the sun and has good lighting." Vermont said that
because the two rooms shared a balcony, and he figured that it would make things easier for him.
Felicity replied absentmindedly, "Sure."
Vermont smirked. "I'll bring you pillows and a blanket later."
Felicity poked the kitten's head. "Have you named it?"
The kitten that Vermont adopted was a stray that had just turned one month old, and there was still a layer of blue membrane in
its eyes. The kitten had snow-white fur all around with a hint of black around its mouth.
Its chubby belly made it look very lively and active.
Vermont glanced at the kitten upon hearing Felicity's question. ' Blockhead."
Felicity was speechless.
"What about Ruler?" He pinched the kitten's ear as he spoke, and the little thing immediately used its paw to push his hand
away.
