Chapter 1579
Sophia found herself in the line of fire as soon as her identity was exposed.
Regardless of being an adopted child or as "@ShilohTalks," her actions of manipulating public opinion with her influence to gain
online attention had made many people despise her.
Even worse, she was also the person who had benefited from the kindergarten incident earlier.
She was the person who knew every detail of the incident, yet she spread false information online to make false accusations
against others.
So, after Ethan exposed her, her personal information, such as her ID number, phone number, personal photos, and home
address, was dug up and shared online.
Her phone was bombarded with notifications on the afternoon Ethan terminated her contract with him.
People even recognized her on the streets and insulted her in her face. In just one day, Sophia had become someone that
everyone hated.
She did not dare to go outside or even order takeaways. She worried the delivery person might recognize her and expose her
current address.
When Aldor came to give her a new SIM card and food, Sophia appeared even worse than the days before. He knocked on the
door for several minutes, and Sophia only opened it after confirming that it was not someone else multiple times.
"Use this SIM card to contact me for now. Things will get better once everything cools down a little."
Sophia was starving and paid no attention to what Aldor said. She snatched the bag of food and tore open a bag of bread before
devouring it.
Aldor could not help but feel a sense of pity as he watched Sophia wolfing down the food.
Although she had done something wrong, what she was going through was incredibly harsh on her.
Aldor saw her face turning red from choking on the bread, grabbed a water bottle, and handed it to her. Sophia snatched it over
and chugged half a bottle to wash down the bread in her throat.
Then, Aldor asked, "I’ve done what you asked. Can you tell me who was the person who gave you the note now?”
With her disheveled hair, Sophia glanced at him, "Divert the public's attention from me, find me a job, and I'll tell you."
Aldor's face darkened, "Ms. Jewell, what we initially agreed on was that I'd help you terminate the contract with Ethan, and you'd
tell me who it was. Are you breaking your promise now?"
Sophia scoffed, "You did help me terminate the contract, but why didn't you clean up the mess he made? That scum
exposed my personal information, and now I'm being doxed and scolded everywhere. I can't even find a job. How am I supposed
to live?"
"I only promised to terminate your contract for you. As for what Ethan would do, it has nothing to do with me. I can't possibly
predict what would happen."
"Sort it out for me then. Otherwise, give me five million, and I can tell you too." With a sly grin, she added, "Five million is just a
pocket change for Keegan. I'm sure he'll be more than willing to spend it."
Aldor stared at the woman in front of him, and his gaze turned indescribably dark. He was ashamed of himself for feeling that
sense of pity toward her earlier. Some people just never change. They might seem very vulnerable in their downfall, but their
greedy nature reveals itself once they have leverage.
"Mr. Kane is not going to pay you anything," Aldor's voice turned cold.
Sophia opened another pack of bread, "Well, there's nothing I can tell you then."
Aldor continued to stare at her for a few more seconds.
Then, he suddenly grabbed her wrist and forcefully pulled her off the sofa before dragging her toward the door.
Sophia was startled and did not know how to react as she was dragged.
Aldor had always given others the impression of being gentle and polite, always putting a warm smile in front of everyone. This
led to Sophia thinking that she could take advantage of his seemingly kind nature.
However, the fact that Aldor could stay by Keegan's side for so long meant that he was no ordinary man. He was just someone
who preferred to do things the peaceful way before resorting to the hard way.
