Chapter 1656
What was even more infuriating for Dahlia was the money in the fund would be inherited by Aurora after Dahlia's death. In other
words, once the will took effect, Dahlia could only rely on the interest for her livelihood.
Keegan left most of his money to Stella and only a pitiful amount of interest for his own mother. This made Dahlia absolutely
furious.
She believed that Stella was the one who persuaded Keegan to make such a will and sabotaged her relationship with her son.
Keegan used to be very respectful toward her, but everything changed ever since Stella came into their lives.
Stella was the reason why Keegan kicked her out of the Kane residence. So, she figured that since Keegan did not give her
anything according to his will, it must be because of Stella.
Dahlia's resentment toward Stella grew even stronger, and she hated her to the core, "I was still wondering why Keegan would
make such a will. I finally understand it now. You were the one who forced Keegan to do it, right?
"He was still so young; why would he suddenly make a will? And why would he allocate most of his assets to his ex- wife? He got
into the accident shortly after he made the will, and he was with you when it happened, too! What are the odds? I know that
you're the one who caused his death because you can't wait to inherit his money!"
Stella had no intention of arguing with anyone before coming here, but Dahlia's words struck a nerve in her. Her face
immediately darkened.
"Since you brought up the will, let me ask you this. Just one week after Keegan's accident, the Kane family started reducing the
manpower of the search and rescue team.
Who was the one who made that decision? The police haven't even confirmed whether he is dead or alive, yet you're in such a
hurry to apply for a death certificate. It's only been two weeks. Are you really so worried about him being alive?
"Do you even know what injuries he suffered before falling into the water? You know he doesn't know how to swim, but do you
know why? You said that he treats you badly, but he did everything he could to seek your worthless motherly love, yet you're still
not satisfied!
"Keegan is soft-hearted, afraid that you wouldn't be able to live if he was gone, so he left you a source of income. What about
you? Do you really hope he's alive, or do you hope he's dead?"
Aurora looked at her mother in disbelief. She had no idea that Dahlia had gone to report Keegan's death.
'Even if the hope is faint, his body hasn't even been found yet. Isn't that a little hasty?' Aurora thought to herself.
Dahlia was shocked by Stella's intimidating demeanor, and it took her some time to regain her composure. When she met
Aurora's questioning gaze, she appeared somewhat flustered, "Nonsense! Absolute nonsense! What are you all standing around
for? Stop her!"
Stella's eyes turned cold. Just as she was about to ride past the security guards, Baldwin came out of the house and stopped the
commotion.
Stella heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing Baldwin. She dismounted Juno and walked toward him, "Baldwin, how's grandma?"
"She's fine. Just feeling a little unwell," Baldwin said flatly.
"I'd like to see her if it's possible."
Baldwin shook his head, "Mrs. Kane Sr. doesn't want to see anyone now. You should head back."
Dahlia looked a little uneasy when Baldwin came out, but when she heard what Baldwin said, her arrogance flared up again. "Did
you hear that? No one wants to see you here. Get lost!"
Stella scrutinized Baldwin's expression and saw that it looked normal, showing no signs of being threatened.
She pursed her lips before speaking, "There's something about Keegan I hope to talk to her about."
Having signed the divorce papers, Stella considered the significance of the matter and felt it necessary to inform Cordelia about
it.
"Ms. Hall, if it's about something Mr. Kane had already arranged, you can make the decisions independently.
There's no need for you to inform her about anything." 2
